A/N: Hey everyone, here's a new chapter. I think this will include one or two chapters further but here is the present chapter anyway. Yesterday was a very interesting, exciting and beautiful day, Misty knows it :D *cough*. Ignore that. Thanks to everyone who reviewed previously.

I hope you will like this chapter, Misty. I've tried my best to keep the roles in character and not OOC. :'D

Hilary shrugged and left his cabin. Kai sighed as soon as she left. I don't want to break her heart. If I say now that I am married, she will understand that I was purposely hiding this from her...

Kai loosened his tie and switched off the conditioner. His phone rang. A quick smile lit his lips as the name of his wife appeared,

"Hey," he said,

"So, what were you doing?"Misty asked lying on the bed, just about to take her nap of late afternoon.

"The work, Misty." Kai said with a bare laughter, and closed his laptop, just wanting to talk to her for few moments.

"Any news about State orders?" she asked, turning off the lights, even though some amount of sunlight peeped in from the curtains.

"Not yet. What were you doing?" Kai got up and stood in front of the window, getting fresh air.

Missing you. Misty turned and looked at his side of bed which was empty and smiled, "Nothing, just lying down for a nap."

"Alright, just sleep then." Kai said, "You must be tired," he said,

"Finding ways like always to avoid me," Misty said dully with a sigh.

"I'm not avoiding you. Who can ignore their wife?" Kai cleared his throat, "I just want you to take rest,"

"Fine," Misty gave short laughter, "Alright dear husband, continue your work."

He nodded and disconnected the call. She looked at the screen in amusement, "Maybe he IS really busy these days," She sighed and covered herself in their blanket, before going into a deep sleep.

Kai went back to his desk and opened back his laptop and started jabbing his fingers upon his keypad and wore back his glasses. His phone rang again. He absentmindedly lifted the call,

"Yeah?" he asked, gaze focused on the screen,

"Alright, send the papers to my office," he said and kept the call aside. A few minutes later, Max and Raul arrived with a bunch of papers with frantic smiles over their faces, giving him the the large amount of work to be finished. He glared momentarily and then sighed loudly. They gulped and kept the papers on the table.

"Kai, uhm..." Raul trailed off.

"That's okay. Leave," Kai said in a grunt voice and shifted closer towards the screen, not even touching those piles of papers.

The day passed so irritatingly and quickly and still, half of the paper work was to be sorted out. Kai looked at the phone screen which showed past his work time. He stood up, took off his glasses, locked the papers in his personal cabinet, took his coat, ear-pods, phone, suit, and strode off. The guard outside bowed and switched off the lights of his cabin.

The air around her was spinning rapidly but serenely. She was seated on the chair of dining table, playing with the spoon and the empty glass bowl, creating the clink sounds. Her head was restlessly laid in her other palm, whose elbow was rested on the dining table.

When will he come? Its past nine thirty now... Should I call him? No no, maybe he's stuck in the traffic. She exhaled out a heavy breath and leaned her head down.

Suddenly the engine of the car could be heard. Misty shook her head and turned to see the front yard from the dining hall. The guard opened up the gate and the prominent car got in and was parked in the cellar. A contended, yet excited smile lit on her face. She got up and gave a look at the perfect settled dining table with various dishes and nodded. She checked herself in mirror and once again tied her hair in the ponytail. Fine, I'm looking fine.

Kai walked inside his manor, looking ultimately tired and beat.

"Are you okay?" Misty frowned at him,

"Yeah," he said barely above a whisper, but Misty heard him discreetly and the tiredness in his voice was understandable.

She nodded, "You look tired." She said, taking his suit and coat as he pulled off, "Get a hot bath, I've prepared it." She said,

"No, let's have the dinner first," He said looking at the table. Might be she was waiting for me. She never eats the dinner without me. Why are you so selfless Misty?

"Okay," she nodded and got seated, while he washed his hands and got seated across her on the table. They started serving themselves and eating silently. Misty was expecting him to pass a comment if the dishes were fine or not but Kai was far from thinking it. Tomorrow was the last day and he had to finish the paper work and assigning works by the evening. Misty spared him few glanced but he was simply gazing listlessly at his plate and serving himself all the dishes,

"So, how was your day?" She asked finally as their dinner was about to end,

"As usual," he shrugged,

"Let's watch the news," he passed her the remote and she switched on the large T.V and the news channel showed up with some rants. Kai sighed, the voice was badly blaring in the background. She switched off the T.V sensing his tension,

"That's okay, you don't have to do that," he smiled at her.

"No problem, I will watch it on phone in bedroom, later." She shrugged and stood up. They started clearing off the table and Kai helped her as well despite her refusal.

He went to their room and prepared for the bath. Misty instructed the maids to clean up the kitchen and then she made her way to the bedroom.

She softly opened the door and looked around. Maybe he's still bathing.

She got changed into comfortable loose nightwear meanwhile and changed the bed-sheet and sprayed some rose conditioner. Taking her phone, she thumped on the bed and started browsing her phone to check the updates. Unfortunately, there were no update about the weekend or holidays' Orders yet.

Kai stepped out in nice white robes and got himself dried. He dressed up in his tee and tracks. He was relaxed and totally afresh now. He wanted nothing more, but just lay down and sleep peacefully in the arms of his wife without worrying about tomorrow,

"No news yet, Kai," Misty looked at him sadly. Kai ignored her and took away her phone from her hands and kept it on the bedside,

"Shush," he lied his head in her lap and closed his eyes, "You worry too much." he said her, keeping an arm on his closed eyes,

"Its not like that..." She said caressing his half dried hair softly and slowly, "I want you to take rest too. See how much tired you are each night,"

"Hmn," he droned and snuggled his head comfortably on her lap, "Let's sleep now,"

She sighed, little hurtfully. She didn't want him to be tired so much each day, and she also didn't want him to have so much distances between them. She wanted to talk with him, nicely, and crack jokes and discuss ideas and things with him. But he was very far from it.

"Alright, let's sleep," she whispered lowly and leaned towards the lamp to switch off the lights,

Kai shifted on his pillow and wrapped the blanket on him and slept. Misty looked at him for few seconds; blinking and thinking. Why is he ignoring me?

"Kai..." she whispered,

"Hmn?" he asked her, but his eyes were still close. She thought something for a second,

"Uh no, nothing. I wanted to ask something actually," She said. She was still sitting and didn't lie down next to him exactly. He opened his bleary eyes. "Hn,"

"I was thinking if I should join a college Institute as a lecturer. I'm anyways bored at home. Plus its safer," Misty said calmly.

"Why?" Kai frowned and looked at her sharply, "There is no need of it, I told you-"

She glared at him for a moment and looked down at the sheet, seeming disappointed.

"Um, Misty. We will talk about this later," Kai said softly and extended his arm on her side. She glanced at his inviting arm,

"Yeah sure," She mumbled and turned on the other side, refusing to lie on his arm and instead lying her head on her pillow,

Kai sighed at her. Her back was facing him. Rolling towards her, he draped on arm on her side and snuggled closer to her, "C'mon, let's not destroy the night because of this. I said we will talk about it later," he cooed in her ear. She didn't respond,

"There's nothing to talk about it." She said, "You just have to say yes or no."

Her voice seemed little tired, but lot of patience and endurance was there in her,

"Misty, you know why I'm refusing," He looked at her shoulder, half of her face was visible to him, but she made no efforts to turn at him.

"What's the point if you don't trust me..." Misty mumbled in a low voice, gaze stooping low. Kai froze at her words. Trust?

Did he trust her? Of course he did. He trusted her but he didn't trust the men outside in the world. He wanted no one to lay eyes on her. She was his, and no one else had the right to admire her like how he saw her.

"What made you think I don't trust you?" he asked her calmly, even though slight hint of anger was evident in his voice,

"Then why you don't allow me out?" She asked with no break,

"Misty," he said seriously, "I trust you, but not the people out." He declared. Misty closed her eyes and sighed. She was trying to be brave and strong but the thread was loosening. Maybe if he made her busy with him, maybe if he had spend time with her and showed her each day that he loved her actually, she would have been less inclined for any job.

"Alright," She said jadedly. This conversation would go no where and she was sure that Kai wouldn't allow her anyway and she didn't wanted any argument anymore. Whatever was there, she just had to accept it and try to love it.

He softly made her turn towards him. She steadily supported her figure with other arm weighing her body and turned towards him. "Good night," She said without looking into his eyes.

He was quiet for a second, not knowing if he should ignore and sleep as for now and or sort this out right now. His mind protested to be quiet and leave his heart disturbed and restless for the rest of the night.

"Alright, you can work," he said suddenly but softly. She opened her eyes wide and stared at him, slightly shocked.

None of them exchanged words for a minute, simply thoughts addling and jamming their minds,

"What? Aren't you happy now?" he asked,

Misty opened her mouth to say something, "Are you serious?" She asked,

"Hn," he said, bringing his palm to cup her right cheek under the orange lampshade.

"Thank you, Kai. Thank you so much." She stuttered, still unable to believe what he was saying,

"But you will work along with me, in my company." He cut her off but examined her expression. Her confused face lit into a bright smile at hearing that.

"T-That's awesome, Kai. Are you serious?" She asked, quickly wrapping an arm around his and shifting a little closer.

"Hn," He smiled back at her. Of course when his wife would be right in his office, he can keep an eye easily on everyone and give them death glares if they played funny. While it was double bonus for Misty, she would be able to work out as well and also help him out. In that way, he won't be tired like today all time and she could see him, meet him and be with him for the whole entire day!

Kai was careful, nonetheless. He had to do something about Hilary before Misty joins. He would never let Hilary meet him care freely in his cabin or talk to him like that in the presence of Misty. He knew that his wife was sensitive about such topics and she didn't like women clinging or flirting around him. She trusted him, of course, but Kai wanted no issues ahead.

"I will introduce you there next week." He said, hoping that this week, there would be a vacation as per State orders which actually didn't come yet.

She nodded, looking earnestly at him, being so grateful in this moment to have him understanding her.

He softly kissed her forehead and drew away his fingers from her cheek back.

"Sleep now. I will drop you tomorrow at your mom's place. Enjoy," He said, caressing her head.

"Yeah, okay," He nodded, more excited inside but she remained calm on surface.

She slept peacefully after that and Kai was at ease too. He had decided he will sort out with Hilary tomorrow, definitely. After that, he can never keep his wife deprived and keep them happy together.

Kai didn't want to upset her. He knew that Misty will never fight or argue with him. She will just be quiet and pretend that she's fine. She was a very obedient wife after all, but he wanted her to be contended always. And Kai knew that she never asked him for anything or demanded. She was very easy going and simple, and that's what made her sweet and special for him.

I will never keep you upset Misty. You will always be happy as long as I'm there for you.

The next morning, surprisingly Kai was the one to wake up early. His alarm rang little loudly and he swerved up and shut it off. Misty slightly stirred but Kai sedated her by soothing her by his fingers in her hair on forehead. She eventually dozed off. Slowly, he sprawled off his bed and walked out and climbed downstairs. Walking to the kitchen, he sees the maids working,

"Prepare light breakfast for both of us and quick," Kai orders, "Misty is not well today," He lied easily. The maid nods.

"Okay Sir,"

Kai heads back to his room and carefully closes back the door. The room is chilled, so he takes the remote and switches off the AC, and heads for the bath. It just takes around fifteen minutes for him to get the bath and get dressed in another few minutes into his office attire. He's surprised that Misty was still sleeping. Probably he did a good job in shutting that alarm for once. He smirks and dries his hair.

He prepares his suit and packs his things. Its almost time for him to leave after eating his breakfast downstairs. He softly and lovingly stares at his wife sleeping peacefully, and smiling even in her smile,

'I wonder what she's dreaming. Is it me?' He chuckled softly and walked towards her,

"Sleep peacefully Misty, let's not disturb you today." he whispered looking at her and caresses his fingers on her shoulder briefly before leaving the room. He successfully eats his breakfast without her and allowing her more sleep today. He instructs maids to keep ready her breakfast when she wakes up.

Kai quickly drove to his company, keeping in his mind that he has to remind Max about the cake order he has asked for, plus he has to go to diamond rings' store today and most importantly, finish his work completely and early and also check about the news. He switched on the radio as for now. There some monotonous rant going on about the news,

Hmn, I've to say Hilary today about me. I can't hide anymore from her. Misty will join next week, I don't want any problem then.

A/N: Will things go smooth for Kai? Or will there be any problems ahead? Just remember, its tomorrow when their Anniversary is there. So... can Kai confront Hilary? Guess. This chapter was short, but anyways, I hope you liked it. I just wanted events, dialogues to be simple and easy to follow.

Review. :D
