Ivypool stared at the wall, her phone buzzing beside her. She never answered her calls and tests any more. I mean, what was the point. They were only trying to pester her. In the years prior to Foxleap's death, Ivypool had shut everyone out, becoming a husk of her former self. When he first died, foxleap appeared in her dreams, and even the waking world. But as the days turned into months, and the months turned into years, He limited to the place between wake and sleep. So she stayed there. Half asleep, and less awake. Ivypool stood up, and threw her phone on the bedside table. Opening her closet, she pulled a bunch of filled boxes out, each marked with a label. She set them down, and reached deeper into the closet, groping around up top for her book which she had accidently thrown up there last week. Her hand grabbed something and she pulled it. But instead of her book, a shower of things came down on her. Ivypool grimaced, going to pick them up. But as she picked them up, relizationtion hit her. They were foxleap's favorite things, the things that she had stored so she wouldn't have to look at them. Tears filled her eyes. Gathering them in her arms, she went to sit down on her bed. Ivypool spread Foxleap's things out. There was his favorite watch, his very favorite book, The adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and his very first invention; a robot that gave him advice. Ivypool smiled through her tears. A memory pushed its way through her mind, showing itself to her.

"Are you sure this will work?" Ivypool asked Foxleap. He nodded. "Positive." She scoffed. "Only fools are positive." Foxleap gave the wrench to her. "Hold this." he picked up the screwdriver and tightened some screws. "Well, I'm no fool, and i'm definitely positive." Foxleap stated. Ivypool laughed. "Sure you are." He nodded vigorously. " I am." Ivypool laughed again. Foxleap tightened the last screw, and sat back. "There. Do the honors?" Ivypool crouched down and flipped the switch, and a voice came out. "Hello? I'm an intelligent artificial being to use to your advantage." foxleap smirked. "I told you so."

:The tears flowing over Ivypool's softened. She sniffled, feeling better. Next, she picked up the book, and another memory revealed itself.

"I can't believe today is already mid-terms." Ivypool grumbled. Foxleap shrugged. "It'll be easy.." he bragged. Ivypool made a face. Easy for you to say. You're a genius. Literally." Foxleap smiled, and pulled a book out of his backpack. Ivypool looked over his shoulder. "What's that?" she asked. "My favorite book, like ever." He answered. She smiled.

The memory ended, and Ivypool dried her tears. Then, she picked up the last thing, and waited as another memory flooded over her.

Foxleap was laying on his stomach, playing on his phone. Ivypool knocked on the door, and stepped into his room. "Whatcha doing?" she asked. "Playing Among Us." Ivypool rolled her eyes. " I can't believe you still play that. Nobody else does." Foxleap shrugged. "So?" Ivypool shook her head slightly, before sitting next to him on the bed. She picked up his watch and examined it. "This is cool. Where'd you get it?" Foxleap shrugged again. "No idea. That thing is ancient. Probably why I like it so much." Ivypool looked at him. " Why? Because you're ancient?" Foxleap glanced at her, annoyed. "I'm not old. You're older than me." Ivypool playfully punched him in the arm. "I am not old. You act ancient though. I'm just mature." Foxleap burst out laughing. Ivypool punched him again.

Ivypool chuckled. Foxleap may have been annoying, but he certainly knew how to make her laugh. She sighed happily. Picking up her phone, she dialed Hollyleaf's number. The phone rang three times, before she picked up the phone. "Hello? Ivypool? Are you ok?" she sounded worried, adn Ivypool almost laughed. "Wanna go to a movie tonight? I heard the newest spider man is out." "Sure. The movie theater on South?" she sounded surprised. "Yeah, that's the one. See you at 6?" Ivypool answered. "Ok, can I bring Cinderheart?" " you then." Ivypool answered and hung up. Venturing back into her closet, she picked out a cute gray tube top with a light pink tie that went around her neck. Then she grabbed a white pair of skinny jeans, and slipped on a pair of dark pink flats. She brushed her silvery hair into a loose braid over her shoulder. She then slipped on some silver heart earrings, and a matching bracelet. Then she grabbed her white leather jacket, and wallet, and her keys, and headed out the door. Her car, a tiny jet black toyota, was almost out of gas, as Ivypool assumed. She stopped at the gas station across the street from the school. On the way to the movie theater, she listened to her and Foxleap's favorite playlist. She even sang along with some. As she pulled into the parking lot, she noticed she felt lighter, and happier that she had felt in months. Maybe being out and dressed in clothes other than sweatpants and sweatshirts was good for her. Ivypool sat on a bench next to the door and waited for friends. And for the first time in a long time, she updated her story on facebook, and scrolled through some of the posts. She was reading a hilarious rhyme when Cinderheart and Hollyleaf walked up to her. Both looked very surprised to see her dressed and waiting for them. They glanced at each other. Ivypool stood up and smiled at them warmly. "Ready?" she asl=ked. Cinderheart nodded, happy to see her friend living again.

Ivypool did start living again. A lot more. She got up, ate, and talked to people again. She reforged her relationship with her sister, and actually tried in school. Somewhat. And she never gave up hope that she would see Foxleap again. And she did.

52 years later

Ivypool glanced around, feeling much better than she had in years. She touched her face, feeling a smooth wrinkle free face. She held her hands up. Clear and olive colored, as they once had been. Ivypool looked at her long hair. Years ago, it had lost its shine. But now, that shine had come back, better that ever. Starlight swirled around her long white dress. As someone cleared his/her throat, Ivypool's head shot up. A man stood in front of her, with flaming hair, his back to her. "Foxleap?" her voice caught in her throat. The man turned, a warm smile on his face. He shook his head. "Firestar." He extended his hand and Ivypool shook it firmly. Firestar turned away. "Would you like to see him?" Ivypool could barely nod. He beckoned, and she followed. Standing next to several deep pools, sthe same quirky smile that she had fallen so deeply in love with was placed upon Foxleap's face. Ivypool raised her hands to her mouth, tears of joy filling her eyes. "Foxleap?" her voice broke. His smile grew wider, and he nodded gently. Foxleap extended his arms, and stepped forward, engulfing her into a hug. Ivypool's tears ran down her face and soaked his shirt. Finally, she shoved him off. Ivypool drew back her arm and punched him across the jaw. "Damn you!" she shouted. "Do you know what I went through after you idiotly got yourself run over? How long have I felt so bad that I couldn't stop you?" Foxleap flinched. "I had to." He said slowly. Ivypool punched him again. "I don't care!" Tears ran down her face faster now. "Did you even think about me? Or Jayfeather for that matter?" She shook her head sadly and ran her sleeve across her face to dry her tears. Ivypool sighed. She stepped forward and pressed her lips against his. He almost looked shocked. "I can't stay mad at you for long." she said softly. Foxleap's smile came back, and gently pushed her. He slipped his hand into hers. "I love you." He said. Ivypool looked up at him and grinned. "I love you too."
