Hey everybird! What's up!?

So before we get to the next chapter, I hope those of you in America had a good Thanksgiving despite these difficult times still. And I hope everyone's keeping safe and healthy and remember that things will get better and life will return back to normal one day!

I think that's pretty much it, so lets get back to the story!

Chapter 4: Introductions

As Bia was pulled inside the ship, she was all out of breath, unable to speak as she breathed in and out rapidly, feeling sweaty and slightly disoriented. Blinking her eyes a few times, she took stock of her new surroundings as her eyes were directed to the front of the ship. There the toucan who saved her was standing besides who Bia guessed was the pilot, a red crested cardinal, flying the ship and who destroyed the Third Brother's TIE. Bia stepped closer as she finally found some words.

"Who are you two?" Bia asked, feeling a little afraid.

"Okay first, can you do us a favor and turn that thing off?" The cardinal asked as Bia looked to where the pilot was facing, the blue blade of her lightsaber still shining bright.

"Sorry…" Bia apologized as she shut off her weapon as the toucan came to her, placing a wing on Bia's shoulder and gestured for her to take a seat and relax.

Bia and the toucan sat down as Bia held onto her saber tightly, ready to power it up again if necessary, the toucan seeing this as he first spoke.

"My name's Rafael and this is my pilot, Pedro." The toucan named Rafael answered Bia's question from earlier. "You're a survivor, a Jedi."

"Yes…" Bia narrowed her eyes. "How do you know?"

"Your lightsaber…" Rafael pointed out the obvious. "And also, I too am a survivor, I was once a Jedi master."

"Yeah right… You probably just…" Bia started, but then she felt her lightsaber being held in her wings start to shake and move, trying to escape out of her hold, eventually being freed and was now in Rafael's wing.

Bia was shocked to have another Jedi or so she thought right next to her as Rafael gave her back her weapon he same way he took it.

"Okay, so you can use the Force…" Bia admitted. "But that still doesn't prove you're a Jedi… You could easily be with those who attacked me, you could bring me to the Empire and claim whatever bounty they have on me."

"They're called Inquisitors, Jedi hunters who side with the Dark side of the Force, we been fighting them for a long time, looking for other Jedi to save, unfortunately, you're the first one." Rafael told Bia. "Look, I know that you don't trust us, especially what happened to you, but believe me, we share a common goal and enemies."

"Well, I got no other choice now…" Bia sighed.

"That's a start." Rafael replied. "Now, I think I know how we can gain some trust, there's an old Jedi temple with a sealed vault on the planet Bogano and we need help to open it and discover what's inside before the Empire can, will you help us?"

"If it's to stop the Empire from getting in, I guess I can help." Bia agreed, still a little uneasy about these two.

"Good, now rest, I'll tell Pedro to set the hyperspace coordinates for Bogano, it'll take awhile to get there." Rafael told Bia as the toucan got up and went to Pedro.

Bia indeed saw that they were out in space, a couple more minutes passing before Bia saw the ship enter hyperspace, traveling away from the planet Bia has lived and survived on for years, her journey starting. Bia knew there wasn't anything else to do, so making sure her lightsaber was inside her cloak, away from the prying eyes of Rafael and Pedro, she drifted off to sleep…

Bia dreamt of the day she was first taken by her master to learn to become a Jedi ever since it was discovered she was Force sensitive. She was around five and was in her house with her parents and her master, a strong male blue macaw. The Jedi master carefully looking with a wing to his beak as little Bia moved around some blocks with the Force, but of course it was a little tricky, with her being so young and untrained.

"I can tell you are strong with the Force little one." Bia's master spoke. "You will make a great Jedi one day." Bia's master noted as with the Force he gently tossed a block to Bia, who took it and tried to toss it back, but couldn't quite make it the whole way back to the Jedi master.

"We are honored by your visit master Jedi, but are you sure she is ready to go." Bia's mother said.

"Yes, with training and time, she will be a Jedi, I'm sure of it." Bia's master replied.

"I know she will be, still it's a little hard to believe that I have to let her go, I'm proud and feel lucky she was picked, but…" Bia's mother stopped.

"I know what you're talking about, I wish she could stay here, but she has potential and it is my duty as a Jedi to help begin the training of the next generation." Bia's master spoke. "Do not worry, she will be well taken care of and I will make sure she doesn't forget about you." Bia's master informed Bia's parents.

"Very well." Bia's father said.

As night began to fall, it was time for Bia to go as her master now was carrying her to his Jedi starfighter, while Bia's parents were standing on the front door of their house, watching their little daughter go. Bia was a little sad and scared as this new man was taking her away from her parents, it was for a good reason, but still…

"Don't be scared little one…" Bia's master smiled as he looked right at her eyes. "Trust in me, but also trust in the Force…"

At that, back to reality, Bia woke up, feeling very tired still as she must have slept longer than she thought she did. Before anything else, Bia checked that she still had her lightsaber, which was still safely inside her cloak. And Bia woke up just in time because Rafael was walking towards her, seeing Bia wake up in a bit of a panic.

"Bad dream?" Rafael asked.

"Actually no, I dreamt of when I was first taken by my master to become a Jedi, he told me to trust in him and in the Force…" Bia sighed. "So, did we arrive?"

"We should be out of hyperspace right about…" Rafael said slowly as the ship exited hyperspace and arrived in a new system. "Now, come on." Rafael held out his wing as Bia took it and got up, the two walking to the front of the ship.

"There it is, Bogano." Pedro announced as up ahead, there was a green world, with white clouds, looking very peaceful and nice, a far cry from the dirty and unpleasant planet Bia has survived on. Bia was relieved as that told her the Empire probably hasn't conquered this world yet or else it would have looked like her world.

The ship descended downward, through the white clouds of the atmosphere and finally, extending out its landing gear, touched down onto a high rising plateau, Pedro shutting down the engines and then opening up the ramp entrance and exit. Bia and Rafael stepped out as Bia took in the fresh and clean air, she couldn't remember the last time she smelled such sweetness, but she didn't have all day to do this.

"You know I still don't know your name." Rafael told Bia as Bia turned her head to face the toucan.

"Bia." Bia answered.

"Nice name." Rafael replied. "Now, the vault is down below, about a klick away, it's a little tricky to get there, for stormtroopers, but should be no problem for a Jedi." Rafael told Bia.

"Wait, you're not coming with me?" Bia confused.

"You want my trust right?" Rafael reminded her. "Better to find out for yourself so you alone know what's there."

"And how do I know that you and your friend wouldn't leave me here and tell the Empire I'm here?" Bia pointing out.

"Trust me, we wouldn't go anywhere or contact anyone, we'll stay here and wait until you come back." Rafael promised. "I will trust that you'll find what we hope to find and that you'll trust we'll be here when you return."

"Guess I got no other choice." Bia said. "Okay, I'll see what I can find down there." Bia trying her best to stay positive.

"Good luck Bia and may the Force be with you." Rafael wished the girl before going back inside the ship, the ramp closing up as Bia took a deep breath and began her first steps down below to find what Jedi secrets there were on this world.

And I'll leave it there!

A shorter chapter, but I want to save the trip down and what Bia will find for next time!

I think that's it for now, so…

See everybird later!
