Chapter 6: A Little R&R
K.I.A.' s weapon disappeared. She shrunk down to her human form. Kia walked around the blue bones before she stood next to Papyrus. Jawbreaker was still within her grasp. If she was going to get what she wanted, she wants it to be given willingly.
She set Jawbreaker on the ground and beckoned him to her with her index finger invitingly. Awkwardly, he shuffled over. He was so stiff. Kia smirked. She leaned towards him until her lips were just a sliver away from making contact with the side of his skull. She grinned sharply.
"I want your SOUL."
Jawbreaker took a step back, in raw shock and horror. Kia clicked her tongue on him. She mock pouted at him. Swinging her arm toward the defeated Papyrus, her crimson naginata materialized again. It was just under his chin she stopped. Kia tilted her head at Sans.
"Ah ah ah~, NO take backies~! Come here if you really want your brother to be SPAREd."
Jawbreaker growled and shook. Half of a minute passed before he stepped up to her. Kia's weapon vanished. He raised his hand towards his chest. Kia stopped him by placing her cold hands on his phalanges. She smiled gently with hooded eyes.
"Nope, we are doing this my way."
He glared at her in resentment with his usual red thick ringed eye. Shrugging his shoulders forcefully, Jawbreaker stuffed his phalanges in his coat pockets and waited for something to happen. Kia chuckled. Slipping her arms under his jacket, she slid her hands from the front of his chest to his back. She could feel his ribs under his red sweater. He was barrel chested. Kia hugged the stiff skeleton. She hummed in delight in his disgruntled face.
She hugged tight to the unrelenting skeleton enough so she was pressed chest to chest with him. Tucking her face into the crook of his apparent turtle neck sweater right next to his collar, Kia let her SOUL do the rest. She took a deep breath of his musky mustardy scent. She twitched when her SOUL traveled. His SOUL resisted her lure. Kia pressed closer. Sharp phalanges latched on her waist. He tried to pull away, but it was too late for him now.
After Sans' SOUL is within her body in the webbed strands of liquid DT, Kia's hand slipped under his red sweater. He had slumped into her embrace, already starting to fade. That won't do. Her cold hand, feather light, touched a moment on his lumbar vertebrae. Her hand was in the, now, empty cavity of his chest. She ignited a small flame. Sans jumped, startled back to life. He started to struggle, but she let go.
He stumbled away from her, clutching at his chest. He landed on his ass, breathing heavily. Kia was too distracted by the sudden feeling of warmth with in her chest. It was alive with little hope, but it was alive. She could feel the scars on it, and it was beautiful. She clasped her hands reverently in front of her sternum, closing her eyes.
"the fucking hell you bitch! what the hell did you do to me?!"
Kia opened and rolled her eyes. She dropped her hands.
"Calm down you big baby, a body can't live without something functioning inside of it. Now, let's move somewhere warmer, I'm freezing my ass off out here."
Kia made to move towards the stunned skeleton to teleport somewhere in a warmer habitat. She leant out a hand in offer to help him up. Now that she is looking at him properly now, she noticed his eye sockets don't just have one thick iris anymore. He had red eye lights like her when she was KIA.
Jawbreaker didn't move. He eyed her warily, before his glance at his defeated brother gave him away. Huffing out a breath, Kia raised an eyebrow at him.
"You sold your SOUL to me on the pact I wouldn't kill him during our battle. You are such a sweet brother, but what condition he is in afterwards or what he does from this point on is none of my concern. Should he attack me again, I will defend myself and possibly kill him if my re-evaluation of him changes once again."
In other words Jawbreaker, you fucked up.
He growled. Papyrus wheezed weakly, still cursing under his breathe. Jawbreaker was back to sweating a lot now. His eye light flashed with hatred.
"You attack me. You attack yourself."
A bone stopped from shattering her jaw and face. What is up with that!? Kia grinned at Jawbreaker. Her hands came up to link on top of his attack to rest her chin on it. She titled her head at him again. Her glare was icy despite the raging crimson fire emanating from her visible eye lights.
"You are mine now. Do not think my MERCY will save you should you cross me. I can be reasonable if you talk to me."
His raised hand was trembling. So his attacks are based on his hand and arm movements, interesting. He shoved his arm down and stuffed his hand back into his jacket. Her perch disappeared, but she didn't mind. He looked off to the side in an angry pout. It was … adorable. Kia fidgeted. She has a sudden urge to, to … do something. She doesn't know this feeling! What is it?!
"w-will ya let me take boss along with us."
GAH! She couldn't take it anymore! Kia marched right up to Jawbreaker with a small pout. He startled and took a step back. His hand rose half way before he remembered what it would actually do if he hits her. She raised her hands to clutch both sides of his face and yanked his skull down. She conked her forehead with his. Winced on impact, he expected to die right then. Nothing happened. It connected hard enough to kill, but the intent to kill wasn't there. He barely felt it. He opened his eye sockets he … actually hadn't noticed he closed them. She was glaring right into his confused red eye lights.
"Do not call him Boss anymore. You are not his anymore. You are mine."
"uh…"
Kia glared at him with more force until he nodded. Her glare lessened, but it lingered.
"Is that all you want to do with him? To take him with us?"
Jawbreaker shifted nervously. His eye lights shifted away from her eyes again. It was … cute. Kia could feel a flush come over her cheeks. She glared at him harder.
"w-well, i was hoping if you could let me heal him when we go … back … home."
Jawbreaker could feel her glare increase again. It was making his bones rattle. Was he asking too much already? He flinched when she smacked the sides of his face again. She released him from her grip. Before he could get a good look at her face, Kia had spun around in a huff and crossed arms away from him.
"Fine"
"w-what?"
"I. Said. Fine. Do not make me repeat myself again!"
Jawbreaker released a small gusted sigh of relief. Then in a blink, they were somewhere else. Startled, Kia lost balance and landed on her ass. Kia scanned the area frantically, not really processing that she had just teleported. Sans snorted a laugh. Kia turned sharply to give him her glare to shut up. It was a do or die kind of glare, so Sans just checked on his brother.
Kia got up and dusted herself off. Kia looked around as Sans used his magic to float his brother in the air as he went upstairs to a door covered in warning posters. It seemed she was in a two story house. It was neat, tidy and warm. Kia smiled. It was perfect.
She moved over to the red couch and plopped down on it with great relish. Something jingled between the cushions. Shifting her body up to reach in the couch's crevice blindly, she found gold coins. Getting up, Kia searched through the couch properly. It was thirty Gold pieces in all. Kia smirked deviously. Pocketing the coins, Kia returned to relax on the couch.
Soon enough it was too warm to keep the sweater on. Wiggling around, Kia was able to shed her sweater and replace her jacket on. She didn't really feel like moving again to do the same for her lower half. Kia folded her arms behind her head as she stretched herself out entirely on the couch. She footed her boots off and sank into the lumpy cushions of the couch. She closed her eyes, ready for some sleep.
There was a choking noise by the stairs. Opening one irritated eye, she looked to see who was disturbing her. It was Jawbreaker. His red eye lights were larger and fixated … on her. Opening her other eye, Kia shifted to her side to display herself more openly with a devious smirk.
"Like what you see?"
"what the hell! i thought you were a kid!"
Kia sunk back into the couch. She was a little offended now.
"What makes you think this is child like?"
Kia gestured to her bosom and muscular upper body. While her lower body was still in layers and not all that shapely looking at the moment, the sweater she was wearing before couldn't exactly hide the definite bump her breasts made. Could this guy get any more insulting!?
"you were wearing a stripped sweater!"
"What does that have to do with anything?!"
"look bitch! i don't know how they do it on the surface, but down here ya have ta wear a striped shirt to indicate you're a kid!"
Kia glared at Jawbreaker. Then she thought about it. It could make sense. She cupped her chin in her hand and tapped her jawline in thought. From the little she had seen and learned about, Monsters come in all shapes and sizes. Children are technically under an unspoken rule of protection for those who have good morals, so they needed to be easily distinguishable. A stripped shirt could do the trick.
"Alright, I see your point. The only reason I have that sweater is because of the weather. Not much protection in this outfit, obviously."
He backed up a step. He probably didn't expect her to calm down and think it through. Kia raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"what do ya mean?"
"Well, come over here and I'll tell you. This distance between us is hurting my feelings you know!"
Jawbreaker snorted. Kia just smiled along. He did sit down on the couch when she made room for him. She scooted over until she was really close to him. Her smile turned into a smirk at how uncomfortable he looked now. Kia took his wrist closest to her and laid his phalanges on her bare collar, above her left breast. His bones were cool to the touch. It made her flesh twitch on contact. He felt that apparently. He jumped and tried to jerk away his hand, but she held on tight. She waited for him to relax and feel what she is trying to convey.
He stopped struggling after a minute. She'll take that as relaxed as he could be for right now.
"You feel that. The warmth of my skin and thump of my heart beat? While you monsters are made of magic, thought, and SOUL, humans and many other creatures on the surface are made of flesh and blood.
"Humans are exothermic. That means the movement they make creates a kind of friction in their muscles fibers to create heat within the bodies. Should they be in extreme temperatures for a limited amount of time, they die from exposure."
He raised a brow bone.
"ya say it like you aren't human."
Kia paused.
"Could you say I was a Monster?"
He shrugged with disinterest. She smiled cheekily. She patted the top of his skull.
"Don't worry, you'll get to know more about me as time goes on. Now hold still for a sec."
"why?"
"Shut it and just do as you're told"
He froze. Kia tucked herself into his side. He wasn't exactly warm but comfortable enough. Closing her eyes, Kia shifted a little more. Eventually, she had both of them leaning on the arm rest of the couch.
"You can relax now. I'm going to get a little R&R so get comfortable. It's going to be a while before I let you go."
Jawbreaker just grunted.
