A/N: Hello guys, so this is the second chapter for this story. I am big Bonenzo/Benzo Fan and I just couldn't not write a fanfic on it. It has been years since I wrote fanfics and my old account was even closed. I know right now the story doesn't make much sense yet but I promise that I have some big things planned. And I would really love to hear what you think about it so far.

P.S. No, Caroline isn't as bad as she might seem!

Enjoy reading!

About my happiness

It was just a big cliché. A woman and a man being way to happy for such an early start of the day. It was the first Saturday in weeks when they both did not have to work. So, the woman – being a good fiancé – decided to get up early and prepare a nice breakfast for them. It was something she would love to do more often, but they were both too busy, so they always choose a coffee to go instead of a fancy breakfast. But today was different. It was their last weekend as 'free' people. They will marry in less than a week and she will be officially a married woman. A woman that belongs to someone – one that can say, she started her own family. And she has never been as nervous as she was the last few days even though she knew that he loved her. And she loved him just as much. But somehow, she still had a bad feeling. She knew that something would happen, she just didn't know what exactly and when. But she tried to push that feeling aside while she went to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast. She turned on the radio and started dancing to the song that described her relationship just perfectly.

They don't know about the things we do
They don't know about the "I love you's"
But I bet you if they only knew
They would just be jealous of us

They don't know about the up all nights
They don't know I've waited all my life
Just to find a love that feels this right
Baby, they don't know about, they don't know about us

They don't know how special you are
They don't know what you've done to my heart
They can say anything they want
'Cause they don't know about us

For the first time in so long, Bonnie was finally happy and in love again. It felt so right, so perfect. When she met him, her heart started to heal until it finally belonged to him. She gave it to him by choice, without a second thought. And not once did she regret it. She belonged to him and she was waiting impatiently for their big perfect Paris – Wedding. So of course, she called her best friends the moment that she said yes. They haven't talked in three years – which was her fault – but she knew that they would be happy for her. Well, turned out, that they weren't happy at all.

Caroline was furious. The moment she answered her phone and realized that the unknown number was Bonnie, she started screaming and cussing, letting all her anger out. And Bonnie stayed quiet. She knew that Caroline was right. She was a horrible friend. She promised to come back but then she cut of all ropes and deleted them out of her life. After she met Luciana, she changed her phone number, got herself a new phone – which was empty, with no trace of her old life – and just disappeared from their field of vision. It was like she didn't exist anymore. They were trying to find her with the help of some witches they found in New Orleans, but she blocked everyone. It was a difficult spell, which cost her much strength but she was able to hide herself from every locator spell. It was the best thing she did, because the last three years were the most normal she had in a while. She could life like a normal human being, without any supernatural drama.

But Caroline didn't understand Bonnies reasoning. She needed Bonnie. She needed her best friend, but she wasn't there. So, naturally, she wasn't so thrilled about the man that kept her friend out of their lives for the past three years. And she was even less happy, when she found out that he was a vampire.

"Bonnie!", Caroline was starting to get frustrated, "I though you hated vampires. And now you're just about to marry one?"

"Okay, first of all, I think we both know, that after most of my friends were vampires at some point of their life, I'm used to being with vampires. And secondly, you are my best friend. You're supposed to accept my choice and be happy for me!"

"I would be happy if I was sure, that you aren't just trying to replace Enzo with another vampire just so you can pretend that you've moved on", it was the first time that she has heard his name. And it didn't hurt like she thought it would. So she told Caroline about this. That she really moved on. That thinking about him doesn't hurt anymore. That most of the time she doesn't even think of him anymore.

At this point Caroline hang up the phone. She was happy that Bonnie was moving on but the way she did it was wrong. Blocking every memory of Enzo of her mind and pretending their love never existed was not the right way to do so. The next thing she did was call Elena and Damon, telling them that they're heading to Paris the next day. Bonnie on the other hand had been crying for the next few hours about their disastrous conversation. They really don't know about them.

„Good morning beautiful ", Paul entered the kitchen, wearing only a pair of sweatpants. He hugged Bonnie from behind, stopping her dance, "I almost forgot that you can cook".

"Funny", she said sarcastically, "Breakfast's almost ready."

"You know, I'm not really hungry", he started kissing her neck, "I'd rather have some fun". His hands travelled down her waist to her hips and under the big t – shirt she was wearing. It was actually his shirt, but Bonnie loved to wear his clothes and secretly – he loved it too. The clothes were looking so cute on her small fragile body, making her even sexier than she already was. He stopped his hands only a few centimeters away from her breasts, turning her around so that they could face each other. She smiled at him, kissing him on the lips. Her hands were resting on his muscular chest. Just when he tried to deepen their kiss, Bonnie pushed him away a little. "Not now", she whispered, "We have a lot to do today". Paul wanted to protest but Bonnie resolved herself from his hug and started to serve their breakfast.

After breakfast, Bonnie went to shower and then got ready for the day. She had a lot planned. In about an hour they would meet up with the wedding planner – Amélie – to discuss some last aspects of their wedding, so that Amélie can go back to Paris and make sure that everything is perfect. Bonnie and Paul moved about a year ago into a small village about half an hour away from Paris, where they bought a cute little house with a big garden. It was Paul's wish, because he wanted to be close to his family. His mother Luciana – who of course was also a vampire – lived with their descendants in a huge mansion in the same village. Paul and Luciana were very close to the only family they had and Paul saw the 4 – year – old twins Madelaine and Julie and the 10 – year – old Louis as his younger siblings. He wanted to watch them grow up, so he had to stay close. Bonnie was okay with it, because she liked his family and she was happy to become a part of it in a short time. But she still wanted their wedding to be in Paris because she has always dreamed of it – they had dreamed of it. And she had to keep this promise – to marry in Paris! Luciana and all the women of the family were just as happy about the Parisian Wedding.

After the meeting with Amélie, Bonnie would meet Joanne, a young woman she met, when they moved to this town and who became her best friend in France. They wanted to discuss some things about the bachelorette party. And then she had a dinner date with Paul and his mother. And between all those plans, she had to pack her things, because they will drive to Paris early in the morning, so they can easily check in at the hotel and visit Paris.

"This is not how I planned our day off", Paul complained, after Bonnie explained him about all the plans they have, "I thought we will stay the day in..."

Bonnie put on a pair of blue mom jeans and a simple t – shirt, then she went over to Paul, who was still struggling to get dressed. "We will have enough alone time when we're in Italy", she smiled and pecked him on the lips. Then she put on a pair of black sandals with very high heels. She grabbed here purse and told him that she will wait in the car.

In the car she tried to call Caroline. The last time they spoke was about a month ago. Bonnie made Caroline stay in Mystic Falls, pleading her to be her maid of honor. While Caroline agreed to come to the wedding, she refused to be her maid of honor. Elena stayed neutral but preferred to just be one of the bridesmaids, to not get in between the fronts. She thought that Caroline was right, but she also wanted Bonnie to be happy, so she decided to stay out of the drama. But since their last call, Caroline refused to speak to Bonnie, so Bonnie was still a little skeptical about whether the blonde will come to the wedding. Bonnie called her for the third time today, but again, she only heard the voice mail.

"Care, I know you're mad… But not answering any of my phone calls is not the right way to show it… I just wanted to make sure that you'll come to the wedding… Please call me back."

"She's still mad?", asked Paul surprised, as he got into the car, now fully dresses into a blue pair of jeans and a shirt that was matching with Bonnies outfit. Bonnie nodded sadly. "She can't be serious. This is so childish… I know that she's not a fan of our relationship, but she could at least try to be a friend."

Paul didn't like Bonnies friends from the US. He didn't know them in person but from what he's heard and what he read in between the lines from Bonnies stories, they were awful friends. They only needed her to sacrifice her life to solve their problems and they didn't seem very supportive too. span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanHe told her so many times that she should stop worrying about them, but she was just loyal. A little to much for his liking, because she never put herself first. But after some time, he stopped arguing with her about this matter, because he couldn't change her mind. He just dropped it. But it still annoyed him how they would make her feel so bad, especially this Caroline girl. To him she was the worst of all.

"Paul…", Bonnie whined, "We've talked about this. She is my friend and I'm worried. Elena has not heard of her in weeks too. She just told her that she needs to do some research and that is it. I'm worried that something happened."

"Bonnie, everything will be fine, maybe she really is just busy", he too her hand and started the car.

It was a really nice car. A black sportscar from Tesla. Of course, a vampire would have the money to buy such an expensive car but Bonnie loved it. It wasn't one of those annoying loud cars that men drove way too often. No, it was silent and classy. It showed that Paul had an amazing taste and that he didn't need a loud engine to prove something to anyone. And Bonnie loved it about him. He was a nice, confident man. He cared for the people that surrounded him, but he wouldn't endanger other people just to save his beloved ones. And that was what made him different from any other vampire. Because even Stephan and the good Elijah would kill to save someone important to them. And Bonnie hates that about vampires. But Paul was all around good. Not perfect – but someone that deserves to be love unconditionally. And Bonnie did love him.
