A buried memory resurfaces.
My chemistry group decided to meet up on Mondays after school. Jasper and I started talking about our hobbies and our interests while working together in our science classes.
In art class on Wednesday, Alice said something interesting. She mentioned going to Seattle with Edward to go to some music festival. At Group that night I said that I was feeling overwhelmed with my new classes and getting used to the more wet weather. On the 13th, I told my therapist that I was feeling a bit depressed this past week. He prescribed a new medication and wrote down steps to taper off of my current medication. Saturday was really sunny, and it was pretty warm all weekend. I chatted with the boys over in Volterra for a couple of hours. It helped. I think that I am starting to develop a crush on Jasper.
Monday the 16th through Thursday the 19th were sunny. That combined with the new medication, meant that at Group the next week, I was a bit happier. For some reason, the Cullens weren't at school those days. Angela says that Dr. Cullen takes the kids out of school when the weather is nice and takes them camping. Why does the Cullens not being at school when it is sunny feel familiarly foreboding. That weekend during our weekly chat, Marcus and Felix hint at coming for my birthday in two weeks. I hope that they come, it would be nice to be able to visit with them, not to mention practice my linguistic skills in person.
At school on the 26th, Alice and Jasper have a public "breakup," I am still not convinced that they were ever actually together. My Chemistry project with the three Cullens went really well, we got the best score in the class. Our calorimeter was made with welded metal and insulation. Rose and Emmett did the welding. Who would have guessed that the girl who looks like a supermodel would like working in mechanics. Jasper and I still need to put the finishing touches on our Physics project. It is a lot of work, It is due at the end of the week. And then next Friday, on the 3rd of February, I finally turn 17.
That night I had a weird dream. It starts out as a memory of my first day of school here in Forks. Then part way through, just after I first saw the Cullens, it shifts to the memory of when I first met Marcus and Felix. Finally, it morphed into a bonfire over at La Push, when I first heard the tribal legends. I wake with a start, with one word on my lips, "Vampires"
