Lucy, Happy, and Natsu got off the train back into Magnolia after defeating some bandits in the mountains. It had been relatively easy, but Lucy had to keep Natsu from sniffing her the whole time it was as if he could smell Laxus all over her. At least that's how he made it seem. She knew they had been gone for about ten days, but to her it felt like only a couple of days. They had finished quickly, but on the way back stopped at a magic shop where she picked up a silver gate key and a couple of other items. "Alright! We're Home. Hey Luce if you're going on another mission chose someone else." They ran off before she could answer. Walking Home she walked into her old apartment and decided to do more packing. Lucy knew she couldn't keep paying for a place she never used but was also scared if her relationship with Laxus ever ended.

The sun was setting when she called on Virgo. "Punishment? Princess?" asked the celestial maiden. "No, I need you to take this to Laxus' house please. I will be there shortly I need to go talk to my land lady." Nodding Virgo disappeared, and Lucy looked at her barren apartment one last time before closing the door. Handing her keys in she explained the situation to her land lady who nodded before wishing her good luck and told her if it didn't work out, she could always come back. Lucy was on her way back to his house when her stomach rumbled. Inwardly smiling she picked up the pace to get some food. That wasn't the only reason she was hurrying home. Lucy couldn't explain it, but ever since that night her thoughts constantly had him in them.

Seeing the house come into view she ran rest of the way and walked inside to find it dark and silent. Walking into the kitchen she was making food when the front door slammed open to reveal Laxus who looked angry. "Lax…" she began as he pushed her against a wall. "You know what pisses me off is when I find out you ran to the guild ten days ago to take a job and take flame brain with you!" "I…" she tried again but he cut her off by crashing his lips against hers causing her to gasp in surprise granting him access. This wasn't a gentle kiss. It was rough and demanding, pulling at her lips with his teeth. Lucy knew he was letting her know that he was in charge and she needed to listen. Eventually Lucy started to respond to him and kiss him back. Laxus wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her tighter causing Lucy to moan in response. He smiled as they broke apart. Lucy was out of breath and couldn't think straight when he released her. "Remember Lucy, I am in control. If I wanted to, I could stop you from going on missions with them. Also, you should be careful, that face you're making is pretty suggestive," He said walking upstairs. Lucy fell to the ground breathing heavily and blushing profusely.

Lucy was still stunned that she was kissed by Laxus again. Eventually her heart calmed down and was able to stand so she made vegetable soup. It was a recipe her mother had taught her. When it was done, she called for Laxus before running to her room to grab a bag she had placed in there when she got home. Returning she saw him sitting down. "So, what job did you take anyways?" he asked. "Oh. We just needed to defeat some bandits in the mountains. Of course, by the time Natsu was done some of them had to be treated," she said. He laughed as she handed him the bag she grabbed. "Here I was in a magic shop when I saw this and thought of you." He pulled a coat out of the bag and looked at her. "I know you have a coat, but this one can enhance a lightening wizards' magic. When I saw it, I had to buy it." She blushed as he looked at the coat. The coat was soft and still had signature fur on it. To be honest he couldn't believe how well she had chosen.

They finished eating and when the dishes were done, Lucy went to sit on the back porch. She loved the stars because it reminded her of her spirits. She had been out there for some time when she felt a coat get placed on her shoulders. Looking up she saw Laxus. "You can have my old one. Use it when you are out here. The last thing I need is your friends mad you caught a cold." She smiled and wrapped it around her. "Laxus, why don't you show this side of yourself at the guild?" asked Lucy. He tensed before looking into her brown eyes. "Because I don't," he said walking off. Lucy was shocked. It was almost as if he was avoiding opening up to those who cared. Lucy decided she would find a way to help him. She was his after all. Surprise was evident in her eyes as she had just admitted to belonging to Laxus.

She stayed out there for a while longer before deciding to go to bed. The next morning Lucy woke up and overheard the thunder legion. "Are you sure Laxus? If we fail Master Makarov could kick us out," said Freed. "It has to be done. I'm sick of the reputation Fairy Tail has now. On the last mission I was on I stopped at a bar and heard people saying what a laughing stock Fairy Tail had become," said Laxus. "We will follow you anywhere, but what about Lucy?" asked Bickslow. He grinned at his teammates. "Don't worry about her. If she causes any problems. Evergreen can turn her to stone until this is over." Lucy gasped. She didn't know what was going on but knew she had to get to the guild. The problem was she couldn't go out the front door as they were in the living room. Calculating her options, she knew the back was a dead end since it was an enclosed garden and the living room had a view of it so he would see her there before she even had a chance. Sighing she threw on her clothes and boots before making a run for it. The legion only saw her zip through the house. As she ran, she heard their shouts. As Laxus called for her to stop she had trouble keeping herself going. Lucy stumbled and fell to the ground and cried out. Lucy had scrapped her knee but got up once again to try and reach the guild.

Lucy hadn't made it very far before Laxus had her in his arms. She tried to push him away, but he just held her tighter. "Let me go!" she yelled. "Not a chance. You must have heard our conversation. There is nothing you can do about it," he said. Still struggling Lucy did the only thing she could think of and bit him. This made Laxus release her. Mostly from shock. Taking her chance, she tried to run again only to run into script runes that stopped her. "Freed! Let me go!" He looked at her sadly. "I'm sorry Miss Lucy, but I can't. I will follow Laxus wherever he wants to go" She turned and glared daggers at Laxus. "I don't know what you plan to do, but it won't work. I will stop you!" she shouted. "Evergreen." She turned to look at the only girl wizard in the thunder legion. Suddenly she felt weird as her body turned to stone.

When Lucy came to, she was in her room once again. Standing up quickly she stumbled as she grabbed for something to balance herself only to have arms grab her. Tensing she looked up to see Freed and calmed down a bit. "Miss Lucy…" She shoved off of him and attempted to leave, running through the house to reach the exit. She reached for the door only to get electrocuted. Screaming tears fell from her eyes. "Miss Lucy!" Freed caught her as she fell back seeing Laxus on the stairs tears formed in the corner of her eyes. "Why Laxus…" He looked at her as she passed out once more. It wasn't long before she woke up again. Sitting up she saw Laxus. Glaring at him she then looked at her hands. Noticing she was awake he stood up. "Try anything like that again and Evergreen will turn you to stone until we're finished." The tone in his voice told her he was serious, but Lucy couldn't just stand by and watch whatever it was happen.

With determination in her eyes she stood up, making a swift kick hit him in the jaw, and went to run for it. She only got to the door before Laxus had her pinned to the door with him pressing into her back. "Laxus! Why are you doing this? Fairy Tail is our family." She turned her head to see he was staring at her intensely when suddenly he grinned and turned her around. "You know that mark of mine has faded… I think it's time I renew it for you," he said causing Lucy to squirm. Shaking her head, she tried to move out of his grasp when his lips connected with her neck causing her to stop. The action caused a shiver to run through her. Laxus took some time making his mark. When he was finished, he smiled at how red she was. Before he could stop himself, he gently kissed her.

Lucy wanted to reject him, but her heart wouldn't. It was as if she was being pulled towards him. She gave in and kissed him back. When she felt him release her, she wrapped her arms around him. Lucy knew this was wrong, but nothing could convince her to stop. When they broke apart for air Laxus was blushing just as much as Lucy. "Why?" The question was simple as she looked at Laxus, but he couldn't answer her. "I'm sorry, but I can't change what has been decided," he said. "You can always change! It doesn't matter when, but…" She began. "Shut up! Just Shut up!" Pushing away from her he walked towards his bed. She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Lucy you will be confined to the house until further notice by Freed's scripts. You may use your spirits for anything you need, but you may not use them to warn the guild. I am using our contract to its fullest extent. The guild will think you went on a job with me and the thunder legion." Tears formed in her eyes as her freedom was ripped away from her and she nodded. Lucy knew that whatever was coming he was going to go through with it, at least that is what it seemed like to her. With that she left his room. She knew there was darkness in his heart but hoped he could work through it.

She sat down on the porch and looked out into the garden. She had been sitting there for a while when a shadow loomed over her and saw it was Freed. "Miss Lucy, you can walk out to the roses. Laxus made sure that those were available to you. He may have confined you to the house, but he told me you had to be able to go to the roses," he said before walking away. Lucy looked out at the flowers and stood up. Walking to the roses she laid down in front of them and closed her eyes. The smell they gave off made her happy. She stayed like that for some time before passing out. When she woke Lucy wasn't sure how long she had been out, but she was laying on her back now and it was dark. Looking up at the stars she let the tears fall. All the emotions she was feeling confused her and she couldn't figure out what was going on with her. Grabbing her keys, she summoned Loke. Sitting beside her he pet her hair and looked at the stars as well. "Loke what is going on with me. I know I should be angry at him, but a part of me just can't. No matter how hard I try." He didn't say anything for a bit, but then he looked at Lucy.

"I don't know if I can really answer that Lucy. It might be time to explore the possibility that you are falling in love." She looked at her friend and turned red. "What! B… but that can't be!" she shouted. "And why not? Listen to me Lucy. I have known Laxus for about three years and in all my time at Fairy Tail he wasn't the nicest person, but suddenly having you around has made a difference. At least I think so." With that Loke left her alone to think about what he said. She laid there for a little longer before closing her eyes again. She wasn't asleep just trying to figure out what was going on. Lucy opened her eyes when she felt someone watching her. Sitting up she saw Laxus and he had the intense gaze for her again. Feeling her heart speed up she leaned back as he leaned over her.

"La..Laxus!" As Lucy was about to say something else, he captured her lips in a kiss. Wrapping an arm around her waist he pushed her back onto the ground. She felt him release her waist and intertwine her hand with his. While his other hand caressed her face. Usually she would have tried to put up a fight, but what Loke had said to her hit her hard. Deciding to explore the possibility she wrapped her free arm around his neck and opened her mouth to grant him access. As he deepened the kiss, she closed her eyes. When Laxus broke the kiss, he looked directly at Lucy before quickly standing up leaving her confused. Lucy wanted to follow him but knew better when he suddenly walked away. She wasn't sure how she knew she just did. Eventually she got cold and headed inside to go to bed.
