Disclaimer: I own nothing Harry Potter-related. I'm making no money off of this. And after you read it, you'll know why...

A/N: This was supposed to be a 100 word drabble, but I just couldn't get all of the setup done inside those constraints, so instead it's just a little snippet. If someone wants to take this and expand it into something ... well, something, please do! And let me know, so I can read it!

This is an AU where Sirius didn't die, and pretty much nothing else is relevant...

Harry was in Heaven. Or, at least, that's what it felt like.

On his grand after-graduation world tour, he had made a point to stop in Rome. Once, while dusting the sitting room when he was little, he had caught snippets of his aunt watching the movie Roman Holiday. Seeing Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn touring the city on a Vespa had captured his imagination and he had been dying to give it a go.

It had more than lived up to his expectations. Something about the speed and being out in the open air spoke to his soul like few things ever had before. It was the closest he felt he could ever get to flying without having to worry about breaking the Statute of Secrecy.

By the time he finished his trip and arrived back in England, he had been fully infected with the scooting bug and was eager to pick up a bike of his own. A few hours on the other side of the Leaky Cauldron and Harry was the proud new owner of his very own fully decked-out Vespa.

His first destination was to visit 12 Grimmauld Place and show off his new purchase to his godfather. Sirius greeted him at the door with a beaming smile. As he looked over Harry's shoulder, though, his face turned stern.

"I'm sorry, Harry," he said with the most gravitas he could muster. "I've seen Quadrophenia, so as a Rocker, I can't have anything to do with a Mod like you."

It took a moment for the words to register with Harry, but when they did, he almost burst into tears.

Sirius let out a huge bark of laughter. "Nah, just messing with you! Let me go grab my leather jacket and we'll see if your little Wasp can keep up with my Bonnie!"
