Jack Bauer continued to endure this torture. He didn't fight back, because he knew that he deserved this. Then Jack saw someone, one of Tony's accomplices, without his mask. Jack recognized this man, he was Dubaku, a war criminal from Sangala.

.

Jack: Dubaku! Tony how can you work with someone like him?

Dubaku: You're delirious from the beating.

Jack: I would never forget you, or the massacres you arranged.

Tony: What is he talking about? And why is he calling you Dubaku?

Dubaku: Because he is trying to turn us against each other.

Tony: Yeah, that does sound like Jack's style.

.

Jack wasn't sure if Tony really believed Dubaku's explanation, or if he was deluding himself. But he was certain that this was the terrorist and war criminal. Dubaku hated Jack, but he wouldn't show himself in America for petty revenge. If he was here, something big was going down. Now Jack had a reason to fight back, he needed to stop Dubaku's plans.

At the Supermax Prison in Virginia Curtis Manning waits as Nina Myers is brought to see him.

.

Nina: Hello Curtis. What brings you here to me?

Curtis: You've heard about the peace talks between president Donovan and Hekmetyar?

Nina: Not much. The tv in my cell only shows religious programs and anger management videos.

Curtis: Maybe it's a little late for that one.

Nina: I only get one half hour per week in the excercise yard, even my meals, lawyers, and doctors have to be brought to me. So I don't get much news in here.

Curtis: We believe that Sabzi is trying to disrupt the peace talks, whatever he's planning is going down today.

Nina: Well we both know I have an alibi, this place.

Curtis: But you know his organization, you might be able to help.

Nina: Maybe, what's in it for me?

Curtis: Revenge, and the possibility of eventual parole.

Nina: Not good enough. I want a full pardon, and ten million dollars. I figure no intelligence agency would hire me now, and that should set me up for life.

Curtis: You'd let thousands of americans die rather than help.

Nina: I served this country once, and they let my daughter die, threw me in here.

Curtis: Sabzi killed your daughter, don't you want revenge against him?

Nina: Very much. But spending five years in here, I find I want my freedom more.

Curtis: It's not too late to seek the death penalty against you.

Nina: Either way Id be out of here. Besides, if things really are as desperate as you say, I'm willing to gamble that you'll give me everything that I want.

Curtis: I don't have the power to grant you anything.

Nina: But the president does, I mean that's why the warden had to bring me to you, clearly he knows about this. So I suggest you call him up and tell him my terms.

Split screens show Curtis trying to call president Donovan, Courtney hiding in the motel room, CTU working on their leads, Tony looking at Dubaku with just a little bit of suspicion.
