Jack had hoped that when he called, and identified himself, that they would put him on with Mason immediately. Perhaps they were stalling so that they could track them, but he couldn't rule out budget cuts. Finally, Mason was on the other end.
.
Mason: Hey Jack, long time no see.
Jack: George I know you're tracking me but I need to tell you something. It's Dubaku, he's in America, working with Tony Almeida.
Mason: Dubaku's the head of Alqueda operations in Sangala. I find it hard to believe that Tony Almeida would work with a terrorist like that.
Jack: Dubaku gave him a false identity.
Mason: And Tony is so blinded by his hatred for you and Audrey Raines he didn't bother to check him out.
Jack: Evidently.
Mason: I saw Tony's broadcast, clearly you've escaped. I'm thinking you just want to divert our resources so that you and Audrey can get further away.
.
Jack wasn't sure what he could say to make Mason believe him, he could only hope that he checked up on the lead he just provided.

Mike Doyle believes he's found some lead on Courtney Cofell. Less than one hour before he died Ted Cofell got a call from Mila Luminovic. Mila and her father Nikola were both naturalized citizens from Serbia, Nikola was murdered earlier today, suppossedly a burglary gone wrong. It seems too much of a coincidence, so Mike Doyle decides to question Mila.
.
After she saw that her father had been murdered Mila felt she had to call her father's friend Ted Cofell. When Mila was a child in Serbia her father owned a restaurant, the restaurant was a haven for pro-serb political activists like Victor Drazen. After Nikola's wife and two brothers were murdered by a terrorist bomb, planted by albanian terrorists, he took his daughter Mila to America and were eventually granted assylum. Mila loved her new country, but there were certain people who were regulars at their new restaurant, "Nikola's Delights." Mila didn't ask questions, but she knew her father was involved in something. Through a combination of appeal to old patriotism, money, and threats, someone used this restaurant for meetings. Now, a police officer named Benson was knocking on Mila's door.
.
Mila: Can I help you?
Benson: I want to ask you some questions about your father, and his associates.
Mila: I don't know much. I thought my father was killed in a burglery gone wrong.
Benson: It just seems unusual, your restaurant wasn't exactly known for making a lot of money.
Mila: Perhaps they were drug addicts, desperate and irrational.
Benson: That's certainly possible. We just need to cover all of our bases, otherwise some public defender will argue we didn't properly investigate. May I come in so we can continue this conversation.
Mila: Certainly officer.
.
As soon as Mila closed the door Benson knocked her unconsciouss. Benson thought his superiors were being overly cautious, this woman likely knew nothing. Still, if he had to kill her or anyone she named, he was okay with that.
