Mike Doyle knocks on the door of Mila's apartment. Benson answers.

Benson: Who are you?
Mike: Mike Doyle, CTU.
Benson: Steve Benson, LAPD. We believe the woman who lives here, Mila Luminovic, has intel.
Mike: CTU had similar thoughts.
Benson: Unfortunately she's not home, I'm conducting a search now.

Mike Doyle kept up a good poker face, but he could tell Benson wasn't a cop. For one thing Benson's gun had a silencer, cops preferred that their guns be loud, any civilian unlucky enough to be near would instinctively go for cover. But assasins were less concerned with civilian deaths and more concerned with not getting caught. Doyle quickly looked towards the other room, as Benson instinctively looked away Doyle pulled his gun and ordered Benson to freeze. Benson knew he was caught and surrendered.

Doyle: Is Mila Luminovic alive?
Benson: Yes, but she's not exactly well.
Doyle: You tortured her?
Benson: Yes.
Doyle: Who do you work for?
Benson: I was ordered to kill Mila and whoever she talked to, what do you think they'll do if I talk?
Doyle: We can protect you.
Benson: Take me in, maybe we can work something out. Otherwise I'll take my chances in prison.

Doyle handcuffed Benson and rescued Mila.

Doyle: My name is Mike Doyle, I'm with CTU. Why do these people want you dead?
Mila: I think my father was involved in something, but I honestly don't know what. I need to call my friend Courtney, she might still be in danger.

Doyle handed Mila a phone and she called Courtney.

Courtney: Aunt Mila?
Mila: Yes. Someone just tried to kill me, but CTU rescued me.
Courtney: Are you okay?
Mila: I'm fine, but our fathers were involved in something.
Courtney: I realize that, but I honestly don't know what.
Mila: Neither do I. You need to come in, they can protect us.
Courtney: My father said there was noone we could trust, I have to protect Ted.
Mila: You cannot do this alone.
Courtney: I'm sorry, but we're better off alone.

Jack and Audrey make it to Chloe's house. Chloe hugs her old friends, happy to give her own life meaning again. She hurries them inside, they need to avoid neighbors and get to work.

Tony has found intel on Dubaku, and it's clear that this is the same man that Tony has been working with these last six months. Before Tony can react Dubaku has his gun on Tony.

Split screens show Courtney pacing in her motel room, president DOnovan preparing for the peace talks, Jack Audrey and Chloe working on finding Dubaku, Doyle taking Benson to CTU.

Tony: So you really are Dubaku? You made up Bashir?
Dubaku: Bashir was my friend. The story I told you was true. Your drone strike killed my leader, if I had arrived five minutes earlier I would have been killed also. Bashir's child was killed, he begged us to take them to the hospital. I really did let him cry on my shoulder. After you people killed his child, it take much convincing for him to join our side. He martyred himself to kill our enemies, I have honored him by using his name to punish the woman who bore responsibility for the child's death.
Tony: Still, I find it difficult you came here just for vengeance, at least not against one person.
Dubaku: What happenned that day was far from an isolated incident. My enemy is not merely the american government, it is America. Still, you have helped me avenge my friend, for that I owe you. I am going to let you walk away. But if you come after me, or I ever see you again, I will have to kill you.

Dubaku knocked Tony Almeida unconsciouss and walked away. Their friendship was over, if they saw each other again they would be enemies.
