Mike Doyle brought Benson to CTU for interrogation. George Mason ordered Nina into his office again.
.
Nina: Now what?
Mason: Agent Doyle just brought a suspect here for interrogation. As much as I hate to admit this, you were very good at breaking suspects. We could use your opinion on this guy.
Nina: What do you know about him?
Mason: His name is Benson. He's 29, was fired from the police department for shaking down and raping prostitutes, as well as several complaints for use of excessive force. Nothing was proven but he was fired. He tried to join the fire department, but was turned down when they discovered the sexual assault charge against him. Despite not reporting any income to the IRS these last two years Benson seems to be living fairly well. We can prove attempted murder and assault against Mila Luminovic, probably tax evasion if we look hard enough. Benson wants full immunity before he starts talking.
.
Mason and Nina watch some of the interrogation.
.
Doyle: If you ever want to be a free man again, you better tell us who is involved in this terrorism.
Benson: Just go to the nearest mosque. Chances are at least one guy there knows about it.
.
Nina: He's a racist.
Mason: Thanks, I actually got that.
Nina: He assumes other arab and muslim americans are involved, but chances are he's only dealt with one guy directly.
Mason: I agree.
Nina: He thinks he's got leverage, because he knows one target.
Mason: But the terrorists wouldn't tell him anything he didn't need to know.
Nina: Benson has a grudge against both the Washington Police Department and the fire department. Is there any event today involving both?
.
Mason checked online at Nina's insistence.
.
Mason: You're right, there's a charity softball game today between the police and fire departments at noon. It's to raise money for the widows and children of those who died in the line of duty.
Nina: Killing two departments who would help save lives after the attack.
.
Mason then makes a call to Mike Doyle.
.
Doyle: Yes?
Mason: Mike, tell Benson that we know his target, the charity softball game between the police and fire departments. Let him know we don't need him anymore.
Doyle: My pleasure. Good news Benson, e don't need you anymore.
Benson: What are you talking about?
Doyle: We know your target, the charity softball game between the police and fire departments.
Benson: How do you know about that?
.
This confirmed to Mason what he already suspected.
.
Doyle: I'm guessing you were suppossed to deliver those bombs personally. With you in custody, although we'll ofcourse alert them to take precautions. You don't by any chance know of other targets?
Benson: He never told me.
Doyle: Ofcourse not, no reason he'd trust you with important intel.
Benson: But he told me that the bomb had to go off at 1pm, no more than five minutes earlier or later.
Doyle: In conjunction with other bombings.
Benson: Maybe.
Doyle: Tell me everyone you've worked with.
Benson: I only met one guy directly. Navi Araz. I've spoken to another individual on the phone, but I don't know his name. Do I get anything for my cooperation?
Doyle: Yes you do. I'll put in a good word with the judge. You might actually avoid the death penalty, and spend the rest of your life in prison.
.
While Mason began looking up what CTU had on Navi Araz, Navi spoke to his son Behrooz.
.
Behrooz: What is it father?
Navi: Are you trule committed to making amends for your past sins?
Behrooz: Yes sir.
Navi: Good. Allah only forgives our sins completely, if we martyr ourselves.
Behrooz: The Koran strictly forbids suicide.
Navi: Yes it does. But there is a difference between suicide and sacrifice. Dying to kill the enemies of Islam. The perverts and degenerates that you once longed to be a part of.
Behrooz: I swear I want nothing to do with that anymore.
Navi: Good. Today is the day you can prove that, and earn my love once again.

Gary sits with Tony while they wait for his "wife." Then Jane arrives with Mahmoud. Gary is a little suprised that Tony's wife is clearly younger than him. But his own last girlfriend was considerably younger than him. As long as she's over 18 and it's all consensual, who is he to judge? As Jane drives off with Tony in the passenger seat, Tony begins telling them what he knows.
.
Tony: Jack was telling the truth. Bashir is actually Dubaku, the head of Alqueda operations in Sangala.
Jane: Why would he want revenge against Jack and Audrey?
Tony: He blamed Audrey for a drone strike that killed his former leader, and the child of a man named Bashir. I also fear that Dubaku is here for something big.
Mahmoud: Then maybe we should leave the city before something happens.
Tony: You two want to leave, I don't blame you. But I need to make sure his plans don't work. I'm going to give you both an hour head start, then I'm turning myself in to CTU.
