Captain Phasma had ordered a sweep of the village before the last transport could return to the base. Dameron had managed to get aboard the storm trooper's ship. He had been shot but only barely, a graze to his side, a trooper wasn't aiming to kill him. The stormtrooper with blood smeared across his helmet helped him get into a fallen trooper's uniform once the main ships had left and his ship remained to scavenge any Jedi texts from the dead man's tents. Once their ship had docked on the star killer base, the trooper waited until the rest of the troopers marched off. Then he snuck Dameron into a storage closet.

The injured man stared darkly at the trooper, "take that helmet off," Dameron ordered huskily holding his bleeding wound.

"You don't have to tell me twice," the man said, dropping his helmet carelessly to the floor.

"Who are you, why are you helping me?" Dameron slumped to the floor next to the helmet, the trooper crouched down, balancing on his heels.

"My name is FN-2187, I watched my partner die back there. I," he paused closing his eyes. "I've had my doubts about the First Order, but then I saw you and knew you would be my chance out of here."

"My name is Poe Dameron, let's call you Finn, get rid of those numbers, you're a human being for fuck's sake. Listen closely Finn, I'm with the resistance, that woman that your leader kidnapped, she's," he stopped a moment to ponder on who she was to him and to the resistance. "She's important to the resistance, she could end this war, but we need her alive. Can you help me get her back and get out of here?"

"I think so, but it may take some time, you don't understand how insane that guy is, Kylo Ren," he took a shaky breath now sitting across from Poe. "He has killed my own friends, he gets angry and just swings that light saber not caring what's in the way. Whatever I can do to get away from here, I'll do it."

Poe stuck his hand out and Finn grasped it, they shook their hand firmly. It was a deal.

Kylo Ren sat in the dimly lit room looking at the woman before him. She was restrained in the metal chair, at the command of General Armitage Hux, she's too dangerous, he had said. No one had spoken to Supreme Leader Snoke about the girl, Hux seemed to understand where Kylo stood on the matter and dared not risk Snoke's wrath until they understood how much the girl knew.

Kylo sensed her stirring and so he stood up and waited. She let out a soft moan and rolled her head from side to side before finally opening her eyes. She looked at him lazily, her eyes roaming his figure up and down several times, then she shut her eyes again. Kylo strode over to her and placed both hands on either side of her head. He was still wearing his mask and his respirator blew hair lightly about her face with each breath he took.

"Breeve Kenobi, my little Bree," Kylo said he felt his eyes soften looking at her face. There was a light bruise starting to form on her forehead and on her chin. A split lip, but still her perfect lips made him ache. Then like a viper she opened her eyes and spit at him.

"Don't you dare call me that! Only Ben Solo can call me that, and you are far from any Ben I used to know."

"Ben Solo is dead," Kylo said, almost bored repeating this sentence.

"Where am I," Breeve asked, not evening acknowledging his response.

"You're my guest," Kylo Ren said after a long pause. He half expected her to make a comment about his former self. It hurt somewhere deep inside, he felt the sting of her eyes and voice. "You want to kill me," he said, not letting any trace of his regret seep into his voice.

"That happens when you're being hunted by a creature in a mask. The creature that took our future away. Killed the man I loved most."

Kylo Ren stood back, his hair was standing up on the back on his neck and on his arms. Rage was building, he also felt longing. He considered her words thoughtfully trying not to react as he normally would, rash. He locked eyes with her and slowly reached up and unlatched his mask. It hissed and once it decompressed; he took it off.

Breeve held her breath, she took him in. It differed from all the times she had seen him through their force connection. He seemed tired, solemn, and yet behind all his built up facade of being an unfeeling machine, she still saw his beautiful face. She could see her Ben. The young boy she fell in love with. His eyes were cold and so familiar. His hair was still just as long, he was pale though, ghostly it seemed to her.

She let out a small breath, and Kylo let his forehead lay against hers. They both closed their eyes and sat in silence. He put a hand on her shoulder and nuzzled against her.

"I don't understand what you've become," she said in a hushed whisper. "When you visit me through the force you are Ben but when I see you in the flesh, you are Kylo Ren. I don't understand. You killing innocent people? That's not you."

"I have always loved you Breeve. You must understand, I am Kylo Ren now, I still love you can't you see that. It was the force that showed me I had not killed you all those years ago, it was the force that let me see you although we were apart. It is the force that brought us together on Jakku."

"No," she pulled back from him, "no it is something much darker than the force that has brought us together. Don't you see? I can't forgive what you have done, I don't think I'll ever be able to."

Kylo let out a low growl like sound. "Join me Breeve, we can still be together." It sounded less like a request and more like a command.

"Don't you dare speak to me like that," Breeve said now trying to call out for help through the force. "I would never join you," she hissed.

"You know I can take whatever I want."

Breeve shuddered with trepidation. She recoiled from his grip on her arm, but she had nowhere to go. Kylo Ren could sense her touching his mind, feeling her emotions. He then saw her hunger, for knowledge and for something else, he pushed harder, he could see sweat and tears on her face. He felt her hunger for him, to be reunited, that lust was there.

"Don't be afraid. I feel it too." He said thickly, his eyes were dilating at his own thoughts.

"I'm not giving you anything. Get away from me," she shrieked pressing against her restraints.

"We'll see," he growled.

Breeve, use your strength, pull from the force. Breeve you must resist this, you must fight him.

Again, that voice, it seemed to calm her racing mind, the darkness that was muddling her thoughts seemed to vanish. Kylo Ren had not noticed yet. With a burst of unknown strength, she ripped from her restraints. She thrust Kylo back into the wall. He gaped at the woman as she stomped over to him. He scrambled to his feet, realizing too late his saber was across the room and both of hers were now in her hands. Her pink blades came to life and pinned Kylo to the wall. She looked up at him; she felt rage inside her for being so foolish, but she let her face show no emotion. Blank eyes met him, and he was almost afraid.

"You hold no power over me Kylo Ren, do not presume to know me, that was nearly ten years ago. You and I were both children. I am no fool, the man who visits me through the force is not you. Kylo Ren is a facade, there is nothing but a scared little boy inside of you. Then again, perhaps Ben Solo is your mask as I see you through the force."

The man's eyes widened and her words. She turned off her sabers and turned to sit in the far corner of the room. Kylo did not dare move to disturb her. He watched her with great interest; he knew her words rang some truth, but he was too proud and stubborn to give the thought any more than a brief once over.

Kylo Ren left the room, locking it behind himself, as he turned the corner, as expected General Hux rounded it as well. Trying to hide his surprise of running into Kylo, he began speaking immediately attempting to maintain eye contact with the looming figure.

"Shall I notify Snoke of the girl?"

"Immediately. I will be in my chambers. Guards," he shouted to the two troopers standing across from the room's entrance. "Make sure no one goes in, and the girl does not leave. I will collect her when I am ready."

Without another word Kylo Ren was turning a corner, the troopers turned and looked at the silent General Hux. He slowly stepped into the room, leaning the examine the woman on the floor. Kylo knew this woman according to Captain Phasma. She had discreetly described the encounter to him before debriefing her troops.

Curious, he thought, she was quite pretty. A Jedi by the looks of her clothing. She didn't move or open her eyes when she suddenly began speaking to the General. Her voice was soft yet tired. A war worn woman.

"I can sense your distaste for that man. Kylo Ren."

"I don't see how that is any of your concern," Hux crossed his arms, the door behind him closed, he assumed the guards stood watch now.

"Jedi mind tricks? You can't get me out of your head unfortunately my dear General."

Hux furrowed his brow in distaste. He despised Ren for this very reason. Some mystical power that made him the boss. Hux had rose his way to power, educated himself, and climbed to the top. Kylo Ren could make things float and kill people with an outstretched fist, he was born to rebel scum. Not General Armitage Hux.

"I can see you are quite educated, General, I agree that a force user has no place in hierarchy. Kylo Ren is nothing but a boy."

"Then what are you, might I ask," Hux was trying to push down a smirk.

"Just a woman, I claim no titles or power. I would like to introduce myself if I may."

Hux was perplexed but certain she was attempting to play him into escaping. He studied her as she opened her eyes and stood up. She dusted her butt and legs, then her hands before outreaching one.

"My name is Breeve Kenobi, it is very nice to meet you," Hux stared at her with apprehension, he then took her hand into his own.

He was prepared for something, but nothing ever came. She smiled warmly and shook his gloved hand. In his uneasiness he hadn't realized how long they were shaking hands until she gently pulled her hand from his grasp.

"I'm sorry, but if you expect me to,"

"I don't," Breeve cut him off with a small smile. She sat back down and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "I expect nothing from you. In fact, I expect your leader to execute me once he hears of my existence, if I were you however, I would get on with alerting him. I will remain here, don't expect any trouble from me, I assure you, you have my word General."

Hux said nothing and left the room. The troopers nodded at him and assumed their stance protecting the room. Hux made his way to the command center. Something was strange about that woman, Breeve, he thought perplexed.

Finn and Poe approached the door Breeve was behind in Storm Trooper garb. Hours had passed before Kylo Ren and General Hux had gone to speak with Supreme Leader Snoke. "We are here to relieve you," Poe said.

The Storm Troopers looked at each other and then to Poe and Finn. With a shrug they walked off. Once they turned the corner, Poe ran into the room only to find Breeve waiting for them.

"Han Solo is returning home." The only phrase she said looking at Poe. It always amazed him when he saw her in a moment as a Jedi. She knew it was him before they had even spoken let alone taken their helmets off. "He found your droid on that planet we were on Jakku. We need to get back to the base and meet him there. BB-8 still has the map." She was grinning widely, Finn took her in, she was practically glowing, is this what a Jedi was like?

The three of them took off to the bay hanger and escaped messily off the ship. Breeve was going to see Han Solo again. They had luckily stolen a ship that could travel with light speed, Finn had explained a TIE fighter would be no good to them if they needed to get far enough away.

Their ship landed among grassy mounds and sunken structures. Next to them was the Falcon. Breeve jumped off the ship with excitement. She ran to Leia and embraced her with a hug, tears in her eyes.

"I saw him, Ben, I saw your son," she breathed out.

Leia pulled back and smiled sadly, "we will talk more about this in a moment, go on."

Breeve was welcomed back to the base with warm hugs and smiles. She glanced back and watched Leia closely as she greeted their newest member of the resistance, Finn. Poe squatted down exclaiming to his droid his happiness to see him alive and having brought back Han and Chewbacca.

"Finn's familiar with the weapon that destroyed the Hosnian system. He worked on the base," Poe notified Leia.

She nodded thoughtfully and patted Finn's back, "we're desperate for anything you can

tell us."

Breeve wandered past the base once the cheers had died down, Han watched her walk up. He stood and took her into his embrace. She was still teary-eyed when she inhaled his scent.

On the exhale she stepped back, "it's good to see you again Han, how have you been?"

"Busy, how have you been Kid? It's been a few years."

"I should say about the same," she laughed softly and looked over her shoulder when she saw Leia making her way to them. "I have some news of your son, Ben, he," she paused looking at Han and Leia now that they were standing together. "He's conflicted, he's gone so far, and I'm afraid of what will happen if we go to destroy that base of his. I saw a vision while they held me captive. She looked now at Han. "He will kill you, of that I am certain, I have meditated for hours on this, I see no other outcome if you go, if you choose not to, he will stop our plans."

Han looked thoughtfully down at Leia, he kissed the top of her head. "I never believed in any of that magic stuff, what happens will happen no matter what, I believe in fate. We must do what is in the best interest of the resistance," said Han.

C-3PO took the map data chip from BB-8 and inserted it into a nearby base computer. A bright blue map appeared above them in a hologram. Leia entered with Breeve and Han all looking at the map with interest.

C-3PO turned to look at Leia, "General, I regret to inform you, but this map recovered from BB-8 is only partially complete. And even worse, it matches no charted system on record. We simply do not have enough information to locate Master Luke."

"I can't believe I was so foolish to think that I could just find Luke and bring him home," Leia said in frustration. Breeve went to stand by Dameron. Leia and Han stepped outside frustrated with the situation now arguing back and forth.

"I know where that is," Breeve whispered to Dameron. The man looked back in surprise, he hadn't heard her walk up. Despite the crowded room, there was only hopeful silence. "That map looks like the very first Jedi Temple built, I studied its origin when I was with Luke. I think I may have an idea on how to get there."

Kylo Ren had returned to fetch Breeve, he noticed the guards missing. He seethed in anger and entered the room quickly. He stood in the middle of the empty cell. He ripped his saber out and in a moment of pure fury and frustration began attacking the walls on the cell. He screamed and yelled and could faintly hear troopers turning the minute they turned down the hallway of the cell. He tried to breathe, to calm himself before any more damage could occur, not that he cared. He heard a soft voice in the back of his mind.

I am sorry Kylo; I promise I will return soon.

It was Breeve. He looked down at his saber and sighed; he turned it off and went to face his master.

"This Jedi, you know her," Snoke asked with a booming voice.

Kylor Ren and General Hux stood before him in the assembly room on the Starkiller planet. Kylo was holding his mask in his hand. "She's strong, stronger than my knights. She stayed with Luke, trained with him for years after I left. She may know where he is."

"What of the map," Snoke pressed.

"Kylo dismissed the need, he said the girl was all we needed. As a result, the map has most likely been returned to the hands of the enemy. They may have the map already," Hux said with a smug glance at Kylo Ren's seething face.

Snoke was visibly furious, "Then we must destroy the Resistance before they get to Skywalker."

General Hux was prepared with more information, "We have their location. We tracked their reconnaissance ship to the Ileenium system.'

"Good. Then we will crush them once and for all. Prepare the weapon," said Snoke. Kylo Ren was outraged by Hux besting him in front of their leader.

"Supreme Leader," Kylo insisted, "I can retrieve the location of Skywalker from the girl. I just need your guidance."

"Ah yes, the girl from your childhood, if what you say about this girl is true, bring her to me."

Kylo had let no one know Breeve had escaped with the rogue trooper. Rather that she had stowed away to the Starkiller base, as his vision had shown of her location. He would bring her to Snoke. If Breeve said she would be back, he knew she would return.

Finn was now standing at the table with a map of the Starkiller base. "It uses the power of the sun. As it charges the weapon, it drains the sun until it disappears," he said.

"They are charging that weapon and it's targeting us right now," Leia said after a data card was handed to her.

"In order for that amount of power to be contained, that base would need some kind of thermal oscillator…" a nearby technician said after Han declared his desire to blow it up.

"There is one. Precinct 47. Here," he pointed on the map.

"If we can destroy that oscillator, it might de-stabilize the core and cripple the weapon," the technician concluded.

Dameron stepped up, "We'll go in there and we'll hit that oscillator with everything we got."

"They have defensive shields that our ships cannot penetrate," General Ackbar pointed out.

"We disable the shields," Han said as he turned to Finn, "kid, you worked there, what do you got?"

Finn locked eyes with Dameron, "I can do it. I can disable the shields. But I have to be there, on the planet."

"So we disable the shields, take out the oscillator and we blow up their big gun. All right. Let's go!" Dameron announced and everyone made their way to their stations.

"I'm coming with you," Breeve said to Han as he and Chewbacca climbed into the Falcon. Finn walked past her with a smile.
