Sorry this is kinda late, I was over at my sister's house all day. She's having a baby soon, so my Mom and I were helping make food for her freezer. Anyway, enjoy! I don't own the Avatar~

Chapter 5- That you've really got to meet

"You're beautiful." Zuko whispered, gazing down at me. His fingers grazed my cheek gently, making me blush even darker than his words. I was amazed that after kissing him like that, that I had more blood that could feed my blush that wasn't already in my cheeks.

"Thank you." I said, looking down at my feet. He cupped my chin in his warm hand, lifting my face to look at him. "I mean it, Jin. You're beautiful. Thank you for giving me a second chance."

I laughed, rising on my toes to kiss him and wrapping both arms around him. "You didn't need a second chance with me, Zuko. I've been waiting for our second date for months now." Zuko beamed in my arms, making me feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

Someone knocked on the door, and Zuko's fingers tightened on my waist. "Come in." A very thin man stepped into the room. Dressed in very extravagant fire nation garb, a bushy moustache on his upper lip, it was hard not to notice him. When he saw how close Zuko and I were, he blanched slightly, and he stood up a bit taller.

"Lord Zuko, we must go soon. We have a schedule to keep, and meetings all afternoon." Zuko sighed, grumbling under his breath. "Gods damn it. Of course we do. Thank you, Somsak." With an arrogant sniff at me, Somsak left, closing the door as he left.

"I'm sorry, Jin. I've got to go. But, I'll be here to pick you up at sundown. I'll explain everything at dinner." Zuko gently kissed my lips, pressing our foreheads together. I wrapped both arms around his neck, kissing him again. "Sounds fantastic. Good luck with your meetings."

Zuko smiled, giving me a squeeze. "Thank you." We kissed again before he pulled away. "I better go. If I don't leave now, I'll just keep kissing you." Heat spread across my face, and he smiled wider

I walked him to the door, and he held my hand the entire time. He raised my hand to his lips, kissing my knuckles.

"I'll see you tonight, my lovely fire lily."

"I'll be waiting, my handsome fire lord."

Zuko left with a bow, waving his soldiers forward. Somsak helped him into a carriage, already yammering on about the plans they had for the day. I waved as they left, Zuko leaning out the window to do the same.

My lips still felt warm from our last kiss, and I felt like I was walking on a cloud. That is, till Eun came barreling down the steps, Keiko and Gyeong a step behind him. He grabbed me in a tight hug, both Keiko and Gyeong joining in when they got to us.

"Did he hurt you!? Did he touch you?! What did he want?!" He asked, holding me at arms length, looking for any kind of injury. Keiko glared out the open door at the retreating fire nation, and Gyeong took me out of Eun's hold to hug me by herself.

"I'm fine, don't worry!"

Keiko closed the door, huffing. "Glad the trash took itself out." "Keiko! Be nice to him!" I cried, surprising them all. "Jin? What did he want?" Eun asked, raising his eyebrow.

"You, uh, you all might want to sit down." "Why?" Eun asked, pulling out chairs for Keiko and Gyeong, but remained standing himself.

"Do you remember that date I went on a few months ago?"

"With that Lee kid, right? Yeah." Keiko said, Eun nodding. "Oh, he was such a sweet boy." Gyeong added with a kind smile. "His uncle was always so kind."

My stomach twisted and flopped. "Well, that was him." All of their jaws dropped, staring at me, and Eun fell over. "THAT WAS LEE!" Eun cried, pointing at the door from his spot on the floor.

"Yeah. He, uh, he'd been thinking about me, too, and, well, we're going out tonight on our second date."

"That's wonderful, Jin!" Gyeong cried, grabbing me by my arm. She was practically beaming at me, while both Eun and Keiko both looked as if they are in shock. "When's your date?"

"He's picking me up at sundown." Gyeong peeked outside, nodding solemnly. "That gives us plenty of time to get you ready! Eun, be a dear and fill the tub in my room. Keiko, can you get me my jewelry box, please? Jin, get your nicest dress! We've got to get you ready for an evening with the fire lord!"

Sorry that it's a bit short, but if I combined the date with this, it would be crazy long! I'll try to have chapter 6 out tomorrow night, but it might be out Friday. I'll do my best! Thanks for being patient with my slowness!
