At Camp David president Donovan is discussing CTU's progress with his chief of staff Santos.

Donovan: Navi Araz claims that he was only able to recruit one person to plant bombs, plus himself. What do you supposse the odds are he's telling the truth?

Santos: I don't know. Even is he is, chances are there are other cells he was kept ignorant of for exactly this reason.

Donovan: If Hekmetyar is right, Sabzi would come here personally to direct the attacks, even Dubaku came.

Santos: You believe Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida's claim?

Donovan: They wouldn't have turned themselves in otherwise.

Santos: What I don't understand, is that Sabzi and Dubaku are probably Alqueda's top two leaders still alive. Why come here personally, why not keep themselves in the reserves to plan future attacks?

Donovan: Good question. I'd like to think that Alqueda's on the ropes, that Navi Araz really couldn't recruit more than one guy for this. But I fear that we're missing something.

Nina Myers is allowed to see Jamey Farrell.

Nina: Hello Jamey, my name is Nina Myers.

Jamey: I know who you are, everyone here does.

Nina; You say you're in the same position I was five years ago.

Jamey: Yeah, but Mason doesn't believe me.

Nina: He didn't believe me either.

Jamey: They're going to kill my son, aren't they?

Nina: I don't know. I assume it's a different mercenary who kidnapped Kyle. Maybe he'll do what he has to in order to ensure his own freedom, maybe he won't be able to bring himself to murder a child. For what it's worth, I'll speak on your behalf.

Jamey: Why?

Nina: Noone was there for me, you deserve someone. Besides, I've had enough experience with lying to know the signs, I don't see them with you.

Gaines was watching Kyle Farrell. It wasn't hard to convince Kyle to come with him two days ago, he knew Ira was friends with his mother. Ira had done some bad things in his life, got kicked out of the navy, became a mercenary. But kidnapping a child, especially one he'd bought toys for, was bcoming too much for him. Sabzi had ordered him to take Kyle,a s well as the doctor's child. But Sabzi left it up to Gaines what to do when it was over. Kyle knew nothing about Sabzi, but he was old enough to testify against Gaines later. What Gianes would do after this was over, even he wasn't sure.
