Gaines watches the room, and hears the police sirens coming. He quickly leaves, knowing Kyle will be okay.

Behrooz puts on is explosive vest, and kisses his mother goodbye. Although it greatly pains Dina to know that her so will soon be dead, she also feels this is his only chance to earn Allah's forgiveness. Besides, with Navi arrested, it will only be a matter of time before the americans come for them, death is inevitable.

At Camp David Hekmetyar and president Donovan make it to their lunch. Firash tastes some of Hekmetyar's food to make sure it is safe before his boss can eat it for himself. Donovan and Hekmetyar talk about the peace process in the meantime.

Donovan: I suggest a phased withdrawel from Afghanistan, over the next three or four years.
Hekmetyar: Will it be three or four years?
Donovan: If we see that your government is committed to fighting terrorism it will be three years. But make no mistake, if we think you're supporting terrorism we will stay longer.
Hekmetyar: I understand. And your forces will be gone in four years?
Donovan: After that there will be only an early warning system. A way my country can observe any possible terrorist plots against us. We can work out the details over time, your government's cooperation would help expedite the removal of U.S. soldiers from Afghanistan.
Hekmetyar: That is acceptable. But you must understand that defeating Alqueda is not simply about guns and fighters. You must support amnesty for those willing to lay down their arms.
Donovan: I am willing to allow amnesty for most foot soldiers. But there are a number of terrorist leaders in Afghanistan who must be tried for war crimes.
Hekmetyar: I feel there are a number of american leaders who should also be tried for war crimes. But I know this is not realistic. And I can assure you that more foot soldiers will accept amnesty if the leaders they trust say it is okay. If they turn down the amnesty, or they accept it and break their word later, they lose credibility. But you would definitely have fewer people fighting your army.

As they talked Firash began to convulse. President Donovan called for a doctor, Hekmetyar stayed by his friend's side. It seemed that Firash was right, the americans were trying to poison him.
