Hi! Foxleap here. This is my first story, so no judging, K? This is rated T just in case.

R&R please!

Time. It's an endless thing. But, tell me. What would you do if you could control it all? Would you save your friends, or maybe a lover? Would you twist it until nothing was real? Or would you end time, forever?

Hi. My name is Foxleap. I guess you could say I'm an ordinary person, except for being a genius. Still ordinary though. I live an ordinary life, with ordinary people. I've got a best friend, and the most amazing girlfriend, and I attend Warriors high. You see, i took my life for granted, and when i lost it, i realized that nothing is permanent. When i was 16, a year ago, i created a thing never before seen. A time machine. Ask yourself. What is a time machine? Is it a curse, or a blessing? Well, here's the answer. Neither, and both. Confused? Good. I was too.

You see, my life was great. But that ended on a regular Saturday, in the blink of an eye.

"FOXLEAP!" I sighed. As independent as he was, Jayfeather was constantly needing me. I opened the door to his side of the dorm. "What?" I said, irritated. His back to me, I could see him fiddling with something. He turned, and his blind blue gaze bore into me. He waved something in the air. "What is this?" he asked. I looked at the floor, and bit my lip. "Your library card." I mumbled. Jayfeather's face twisted into a scowl. " The one time I let you use it, you break it!" He yelled. "It was an accident!" I protested. He grunted and threw it on the ground. "I don't believe this." Jayfeather said grumpily. "I'm going out." I shrugged. "Do what you want." I said.

Those four words… they ruined my life.

Closing the door behind me, I sat down at my desk. I picked up my phone and opened the Thunderclan chat.

WingsOfTheDove: Did you guys see today? I wonder who he got dressed up for….

FallingHolly: A SUIT! An actual SUIT!

GeniusFox: Jay's mad at me… again.

Jayfeather: I am not. YOU broke my library card.

TricklingIvy: FOXLEAP! YOU DID WHAT?!

GeniusFox: It. Was. An. Accident!

Jayfeather: Accident, shmaccident.

I turned off my phone and smiled. Ivypool's exterior amused him, and her interior made me smile, and laugh, and cry, and together, she was perfect. In my opinion. I closed my eyes, only to snap them open as my phone rang. I groaned and answered it. "Hello, is this Foxleap? " A deep voice said. Confused, I answered. "Yes." "Your friend, Jayfeather, was found about half an hour ago, unconscious, in a terrible accident. We've discovered he is in a coma." I dropped my phone. A coma? This was all my fault. If only I had stopped him… A sob escaped me. My phone rang again. I didn't answer, and laid down staring at the ceiling. How? How had this happened? And why had it happened?

I don't really remember what happened next. I remember Ivypool forcing me to go see him. Seeing him there, so calm, it almost made me think he was just asleep. I remember being so, so angry with myself, and Jayfeather. If only he hadn't thrown a fit. I knew it was unfair to blame him, but I couldn't help myself. I also remember trying to think of a way to fix what I had done. So I did. I pulled out my greatest creation, dusted it off, and I used it. Not for me, for Jayfeather. I was fixing my mistake.

My time machine wasn't big, like the ones you see in movies. In fact, it fit in the palm of my hand. It had a big red button( i always wanted one), and a knob for the date, time, and year. I turned it to yesterday, and 15 minutes before Jayfeather yelled at me. I decided I would take him somewhere, like the movies. And then I would be safe. Er, well, Jayfeather would. I twisted the knobs to the correct time and date, took a deep breath, and pushed the big red button.
