President Donovan prepares for Haffley to arrive at Camp David for this "trial." He talks to his chief of staff Santos about this.
.
Donovan: Do you really think the cabinet will vote against me?
Santos: You chose them. They're from different factions of the democratic party, but overall they agree more with your policies than Haffley's. Still, they are human. They are scared and angry, the same as the rest of the country. So we can't rule out the possibility that they'll remove you. If that happens, you can appeal before Congress. Haffley's party controls the House, ours controls the Senate. If you were to retaliate, Haffley would have no argument for removal.
Donovan: If I stay in power y abandonig these ideals, who cares who's in the Oval Office?
Santos: Sometimes it can't be helped.
Donovan: And sometimes it can. If we rataliate now, peace will never be achieved, at least not within our lifetime. There are soldiers on both sides, who are fighting and dying who weren't even born when this war started. Maybe you're right, maybe Haffley will remove me and people not yet born will die in this very war. I'd rather be removed, knowing I did all I could to make peace, then to stay in power through war.

Willow drove Gary back to his apartment building. It's actually a small apartment above a shoe store, and they notice some grafitti sprayed on the side. It says "Traitor" clearly someone has heard about Gary being questioned. The owner of the store, and Gary's landlord, talks to him. Although he's willing to give Gary the benefit of the doubt, he'd rather Gary leave for a few days, at least until the heat dies down. Willow talks to Gary after this.
.
Willow: That guy's a jerk.
Gary: Guess I can't blame him, he's just nervous.
Willow: You have somewhere else to stay?
Gary: I'll figure something out.
Willow: Why don't you come back to my parents' house?
Gary: Are you sure it's okay with them?
Willow: They figure you basically saved my life when you convinced me to quit smoking, so yeah they'd be good with this.
Gary: Okay, I just need to grab a few things.
.
They went up to his apartment to pack. Gary took some clothes, cash, a toothbrush, and not knowing what food was at Willow's house he took his soda and frozen hashbrowns. He also wanted to take one more thing, his gun.
.
Willow: You know how I feel about guns.
Gary: And you know that there's a target on my back right now. I won't let anyone hurt you or your parents.
Willow: Okay, but let's not tell my parents unless we have to.

.

Behrooz: I don't understand.
Kim: Just shut up and rive and there's a chance you'll live through this.
