Kimberly continued driving, with no clear destination in mind.

.

Behrooz: What now?

Kim: I don't know. I hadn't really planned this out. I can't let you be murdered by a lynch mob, it would be the same as killing you myself. I am sorry about that by the way, I just wanted revenge for the way my husband was hurt.

Behrooz: My father is the same way. He said we needed to make the americans pay for what they did to our people.

Kim: I would never bomb innocent civilians.

Behrooz: But you did pull a gun on me.

Kim: I thought you tried to kill my husband, I'm sorry. Anyway we can't go to my house because, frankly I don't want to take a chance that the mob could hurt my child.

Behrooz: Fair enough. But there might be one place we can go.

Haffley and Donovan continue to make their respective arguments to the cabinet. Each man truley believes his course is what's best for the country, and each cabinet member must decide for himself or herself which course would be best. Then the meeting is interrupted as Santos informs them that George Mason is calling with a situation update. Haffley agrees to hold off on his arguments temporarily, so that the cabinet can hear this update.

.

Donovan: Yes George?

Mason: Mr president, you should know that the mercenary Ira Gaines has been given immunity and has implicated Jonas Hodges as his employer.

Donovan: The defense contractor?

Mason: Yes, his company Ravenwood has contracts in Afghanistan worth billions, your peace efforts would have cost him money. That's why they recruited Sabzi and Dubaku, they needed willing scapegoats.

Donovan: My adminstration has curtailed his thugs from running amok with no oversight, but there's no evidence they would betray America for any money. Is there any evidence you've uncovered?

Mason: We're searching for a money trail between Hodges and Gaines. For what it's worth, Gaines is a mercenary, he knows cooperating with us is his best deal right now.

Donovan: Thank you for this intel mr Mason.

.

This news interested the cabinet. In addition to known terrorists like Dubaku and Sabzi beig involved so was an american defense contractor, this might affect how they voted.

At her parents' house Willow is on the phone with one of her friends. After she hangs up she talks to Gary.

.

Willow: CTU is holding a seventeen year old girl, torturing her.

Gary: Is she a terrorist?

Willow: We don't know. But I can't just ignore this injustice.

Gary: You're going to be her lawyer?

Willow: Yes.

Gary: I should go with you, protect you.

Willow: I don't need your protection.

Gary: Probably not, but I worry about you.

.

Before they could continue their argument their was a knock on the door. Gary looked and saw a blond woman and a young middle-eastern teenager. Willow answered and it was Kim Bauer and Behrooz Araz.

.

Kim: Hi, I heard you were protecting someone.

Willow: It's complicated, mainly I'm giving Gary a temporary place to stay.

Behrooz: An angry mob tried to kill us, any chance you have room for two more.

Willow: Actually I have to go to work, but Gary can protect you here.

Gary: What about you?

Willow: I can take care of myself, but these two need your protection.
