Burke continues to torture Adaeze. She admits to being involved in the bombings, but she keeps giving wrong details. Adaeze says she put her bomb under the seats, yet it was found by the men's room. It seems unlikely that some stranger would have just moved someone else's bag. Mason is starting to think she might actually be innocent, but Chappelle's orders stand.

Hodges continues to watch the news. If Haffley succeeds Donovan will not be motivated to retaliate, unless he gets a further push. Sabzi might still be willing to work with them, and more civilians would have to die. Then Hodges recieves a call from Gaines. CTU is listening in, hoping that Gaines will get Hodges to incriminate himself.

Hodges: What is it Ira?
Gaines: It's done.
Hodges: What took so long?
Gaines: There were complications. I'd like the rest of my money before I finish the rest.
Hodges: That wasn't our deal.
Gaines; After I'll need to leave the country, and no offense but I don't trust you.
Hodges: None taken, but I don't trust you either. You are however useful to me, I plan to use you on future occasions.
Gaines: Would that include other murders?
Hodges: What are you talking about? I never asked you to kill anyone.
Gaines: You ordered me to kill Dubaku and Sabzi.
Hodges: If you murdered a couple of terrorists that's on you.

It became clear to Mason that Hodges wouldn't talk about murder over the phone, Gaines warned them that he probably wouldn't. Mason then ordered Curtis to begin preparing a team to arrest Jonas Hodges. Hodges then began his own preperations.

Meanwhile Willow arrives at CTU with a writ of Habeas Corpus. She shows this to Mason who brings her to see Burke and Adaeze.

Mason: Enough Burke. This woman is a lawyer, and we now have a court order to let them speak.
Burke: You're just going to let this bleeding heart liberal deprive us of the chance to get valuable intel from a terrorist.
Mason: Call me selfish, but I'm not going to prison for this. Now, let's leave them alone to speak.
