Still the same day. Yet again, Marcy won't be shown off to the rest of the town until she isn't sick, well besides the vet.

Marcy's father, a man named Percival, was working at his desk for Team Plasma, before being told he was needed in the office of a higher-ranking member. He got up, taking a look in the mirror, seeing his thin mustache, pale skin, and brown short hair. Appearing in a business casual outfit, he appeared to the office member, a field member in a middle-ranking outfit.

"What is is boss?" Percival asked.

"You've been assigned to field work." The boss said.

"What?" Percival asked, confused. "Why?"

"There's something going on back where you're from." The boss said. "We want to figure out who's doing it and why."

"Oh no..." Percival said. "Is Marcy okay?"

"We don't know the status of any individuals." The boss said. "If you find your daughter affected, you'll likely qualify for compensation." It was a small benefit to come out of the situation, Percival guessed. "Your fight leaves tomorrow."

"That's good. It'll be nice to be home." Percival said.

"Tell no-one of your mission, it'd be best to not rouse suspicion." The boss replied. Percival nodded.

"Wait." Percival said. "I can talk about it in the base, right?"

"Well yes, I just meant while you were back home." The boss said."

"Fair, fair." Percival said. "Have any materials I need for the mission?"

"I'd bring a pokeball or two if need be, maybe a few potions, battling stuff." The boss said.

"Anything else?" Percival asked.

"Nothing really, just treat it like a vacation where you have to do a thing quick." The boss said.

"By the way..." Percival replied. "Do you know what is happening back home?"

"There's some sort of anomaly caused by a dumping of chemicals." The boss said.

"Do you know what the anomaly does?" Percival said.

"That's where you come in." The boss replied.

"Okay." Percival said.

"Good luck on this mission." The boss said. "I have a feeling figuring this out first may bring us large benefits."

"Thank you." Percival said. "I'll relay what information I find to you."

The boss sent Percival out of his office, who began packing for his return home.

Meanwhile in Kanto...

Team Rocket HQ

Giovanni, leader of Team Rocket, had called upon another set of members, Curtis and Ken, to speak with him.

"What is it?" Curtis asked.

"It's simple." Giovanni said. "If sources are to be believed, someone has developed a transformation serum that has ended up in the criminal system. Your jobs are to find it and replicate it."

"Our first field mission?" Ken asked.

"Yes." Giovanni said. "You'll pose as students at the local high school while you investigate."

"Anything we need?" Curtis asked.

"You should be fine with the clothes you have." Giovanni said. "Just don't make your intentions known."

Curtis and Ken both nodded.

"We'll be on our way sir." Ken said.

"Take your time." Giovanni said. "This may have been stolen from someone who intends to redevelop it. We could get it that way too."

Curtis nodded.

"We'll look out for that." Ken said.

"Try the nerdier ones first." Giovanni said. "Find those who are secretly intelligent as well. They may hide more secrets than their brain power."

Ken nodded.

"Let's go." Curtis said. "We've got work to do."

"Good luck." Giovanni replied.

"Thank you." The two agents said in unison, heading out the door to pack for their trip.

Meanwhile...

On the other end of the world, in Kalos, an Agent of Team Flare was talking to their boss.

"What is it?" They had asked.

The boss replied with the following. "You see, one of our goals is to reduce the amount of resources the world is using."

The agent nodded.

"If rumours are to be true, someone has figured out a way to convert human to Pokemon." The boss replied.

The agent asked what they'd do with this information.

"You see..." The boss said. "Wild Pokemon use a lot less resources than trainers... If we turn humans into Pokemon, we can save on precious resources."

"Interesting..." The agent said, intrigued.

The boss nodded. "Plus, we could recruit people that way."

The agent nodded in agreement. "I'm sure we could take Pokefanatics in that way..."

"Hopefully this will help our aim of saving the earth." The boss said. The agent nodded again.

"That's what we're here for." The agent replied. "This would be a more peaceful way too."

The boss nodded. "You know what to do. We know the town it was in, just move there and find it."

The agent went to go get his things, as Team Flare had bought a property for him to stay at.

"One more thing." The boss said.

"What is it?" The agent replied, about to walk out the door.

"Take Ashley with you. She's always wanted a normal childhood, and I've never been able to give it to her. Maybe she'll like being stationed there." The boss said of his daughter.

"Yes sir." The agent said, deciding to go to the kid to give her the news.

A few moments later...

After a bit of walking, the agent arrived at Ashley's room, not knowing if she'd like the news or not. It was a room for an officer, but this stationing of Team Flare was short an officer, so Ashley got it. The agent knocked on Ashley's door.

"What is it?" Ashley yelled.

"I've got some good news." The agent said.

Ashley opened the door, revealing her albinism and short figure. "What?" She seemed rather depressed, as a result of her looks and her upbringing in a paramilitary organization.

"I've an undercover mission as a civilian, and I thought I'd take you along." The agent said.

"Really?" Ashley asked, excited.

"Yeah, you'd be going to the high school, and you wouldn't have to actually do any mission stuff if you don't want to." The agent replied.

Ashley smiled widely, before seeming worried. 'What if they make fun of me?"

"One of the kids is literally an Oshawott from the info we've gathered in the past day." The agent said. "You wouldn't be the weirdest."

"How?" Ashley asked. The agent didn't seem to know.

"That's part of my mission. Find out." The agent said. "And plus, people might like your eye color."

Ashley did concede that her condition left her with a lovely shade of light violet for her eye color.

"It'll be okay." The agent said. "You don't even have to change your first name if you don't want to, nobody knows you even exist."

Ashley didn't seem to like that fact, the bit about not existing to the outside.

"Do you want to?" The agent said.

"Of course!" Ashley said, quite happy that she'd have a normal childhood, at least for a bit at the end. She began to pack, taking down her posters she used to cover the Team Flare ones in her room. The agent ran off, in order to get her a briefcase or two. He came back when Ashley had packed up her single one with posters.

The agent smiled. Ashley smiled back, and they continued packing.

The Next Day...

Having left for Unova, Ashley decided to ask what to call the agent in question.

"My cover name is Jeremy Peterson." The agent whispered. "People don't know you exist, so you can keep your name, your role being as my adoptive daughter."

Ashley nodded understanding.

"You're just there on paper though." The agent replied, continuing to whisper. "You're welcome to have fun while you're down there."

"That's nice." Ashley replied, whispering like her 'father'.

Jeremy smiled. Ashley smiled back.

"So what happens if we figure out what it'll do?" Ashley whispered.

"Resources, smaller Pokemon have immense powers compared to humans, and don't need to eat as much." Jeremy whispered. "Maybe a pokefanatic might join willingly."

"Interesting..." Ashley said. "I won't have to do that, will I?"

"I'm sure we could find a workaround for you." Jeremy said. "You're not in the organization formally after all."

"Thanks..." Ashley said, a bit worried about that.

"Plus it'd be grunts getting it, mostly." Jeremy said. "Well to start anyways..."

"Oh?" Ashley asked.

"Maybe the higher-ups would want to or something, I don't know, not sure how they'll actually design the process." Jeremy replied.

"I guess." Ashley replied. She began to look out the window over the ocean. She wondered how she'd make friends, as she hadn't quite socialized with people her age in a long time. It was nice to take a break from being hidden away from the world, as the leader of Team Flare did not want to have such collateral known about to people in other organizations, as he would likely have to pay high premium to return his daughter. "So you ready?" She asked.

"I mean why wouldn't I be?" Jeremy replied.

"Just wondering." Ashley replied. "Just wondering..."
