We ran for four minutes, meaning there were only eight minutes left of searching for the Tree of Wisdom till we have to return. "That was the last door." Sabrina said. "But no Tree of Wisdom." Nicole said. "Maybe we should head back then." I said before we heard a growl, causing us to gasp. "No, we can't go back! We gotta find it if we're gonna be back by breakfast." Sabrina told us as we ran.
"But Sabrina, if we went through portals that supposed to take us there and not be there, then we should call it quits." I said, trying to convinced her. "No way, Aaron. You can head back if you want to, but Nicole and I are heading there to become full witches." Sabrina said.
"But what if Miss Hag noticed you two are gone? I mean, it is weird that the two creatures we left behind are searching for us, ain't it?" I pointed out to her. "Look, it's the only way that Cassandra and her friends can stop making fun of Nicole." Sabrina said. "More like so you wouldn't be made fun of." I said under my breath. Nicole just gave me a look that I understood. Give Sabrina seven more minutes of searching for the tree before we just tell her to head back with us so we can deal with this ourselves.
After a minute or two, we were walking down the spooky part of the woods. "Y-you see anything? L-lots of trees, but none of them look too wise." Sabrina stammered out nervously. In the distance was a owl hooting, scaring us and causing us to run.
"What was that?" Nicole asked as we were trembling from fear. "Just an owl, nothing to be scared of." Sabrina said. We soon heard a cawing.
"AHHHH!" We screamed as we held on to each other. "And that?" Nicole asked. I looked up and saw a crow. "Only a crow. Nothing to be scared of." I said, as Sabrina and Nicole also looked up and we let go of each other.
Suddenly, there was a screech from somewhere that scared us so bad. "T-that?" Nicole asked. "T-that was something to be scared of." Sabrina and I said in unison. The screech came again, causing the three of us to scream and run away.
I completely forgot my training sessions from my mother in that moment as we ran away from whatever made the sound. What we never knew at first, something I found out later, was that it was a ladybug-like insect that made the sound. We ran away from a bug for Jesus sake, just because it made those screeches!
We stopped at the end of the pathway. "Is it coming?" Sabrina asked worried. "We're okay now." Nicole said. "You really think so? You really think we're okay?" Sabrina asked. "Yeah, why?" I asked her. "Because I was thinking, maybe I was wrong." Sabrina said as we were sinking in quicksand.
"Sabrina!" Nicole said, trying to tell Sabrina out situation. "I know it was my idea to come here, but maybe it wasn't such a great idea." Sabrina said, continuing her previous statement. "Sabrina! Normally, I would say that's the best idea you had so far, but now not the time!" I said, trying to get her attention.
"We should have stay back there and face our problems. Cause when I brought us out here, I got us in over our heads. And this got out of hand for you, Aaron." Sabrina said, finally finishing her pity rant. "Yeah, I have to say you did." Nicole said. "Quicksand!" Sabrina said.
"Thanks Sherlock. I would've never know we were sinking in quicksand, I thought we were sinking in mud. Got any ideas of how to get out of here." I sarcastically said, rolling my eyes. "We got to work the magic and get ourselves out of here." Sabrina said, as we were up to our hips in the quicksand.
"We're half-witches and he's a half-warlock, Sabrina. What are we gonna do?" Nicole asked. Sabrina and I looked for a bit before we saw vines. "The vines!" Sabrina and I exclaimed, pointing them out. "Concentrate." Sabrina said as she closed her eyes. "Together Nicole, Aaron." Sabrina said as we did the same thing she was doing. The vines started moving towards us.
"Just a little more Nicole, Aaron." Sabrina said as the vines were almost in our grasps. "We did it!" Sabrina said as the vines were near us that we could grab them. We started whooping and cheering at this success as we climbed out. As soon as we got out, we cleaned out clothes with magic.
"I can't believe it! We're saved! We're alright!" Nicole said, happy. "Believe it." I said with a thumbs-up. "Yeah, but I kind of wish we have a shower." Sabrina said. "Remember what people said Sabrina. Careful what you wish for." I said just as thunder came and it starts to rain, washing off the rest of the quicksand from our clothes.
"Next time, be more specific." Nicole said to Sabrina. "Come on. We gotta find that tree." Sabrina said. "Sabrina, I don't think we have the time anyways." I said. "What do you mean?" Sabrina asked. "I think we should tell her." Nicole said. "Tell me what?" Sabrina asked, now a bit frustrated. "Nicole and I kind of agreed of earlier that if we don't find the Tree of Wisdom in a hour, then we would head back to Witch Academy." I said.
"And how long ago was this?" Sabrina asked. "55 minutes ago." Nicole said. "But we can't give up now! We still have five minutes left!" Sabrina said. "I know, but I letting you know about this just for when we don't find the tree." I said as Nicole and I were dragged by Sabrina.
We were back in the village with only a minute and a half to find the tree. "If only we have some sort of guide." Sabrina said as I was looking at my pocket watch. Yes, we have thirty seconds, twenty, ten... Suddenly there was a sign that read 'TREE OF WISDOM 500FT' in big, green bold letters. No, and just when we were about to head back to Witch Academy.
"Tree of Wisdom." Nicole said, reading the sign. "500FT." Sabrina said, finishing reading the sign. I'm doomed, unless I can find some other way to convince them. "What if it's a trick?" I said. "It's not. If it was, there wouldn't be a sign right here, now would there?" Sabrina said with a smirk. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Nicole said as the two ran down the path. "Wait for me!" I said, running after them.
We passed some more signs that points the way to the Tree of Wisdom. "Tree of Wisdom, straight ahead." Sabrina said. "Sabrina please, nothing good will come out from this. I saw it in a vision, and you know how accurate they are sometimes." I said. "Yeah, and they are also wrong at points too." Sabrina said, countering my logic with the truth. "We're almost there." Nicole said.
"Please Sabrina. I promise this vision is accurate." I said. "Aaron, we'll be fine. What's the worse the could happen?" Sabrina said. "Right about now, anything can go wrong." I said. We finally arrived in front of the Tree of Wisdom, which has a vulture in its branches and a line of dwarves in front of it.
Please say that it's done for today when we get to it./em I hoped in my head. Maybe this could be the thing that can help me beat Madi at her own game and get me out from that deal. Please, oh please let my hopes be realized.
"Rawk! One wish per person. No exchanges, no returns, no mortals. All transactions final. Rawk!" The vulture said as the line moved along. We soon got in line, behind two big cats, standing on their hind legs and wearing a blue shirt and hat.
"I didn't know the tree was so popular." Sabrina said to Nicole and I. "Well, it's called the Tree of Wisdom. Of course there are going to be some people coming here for its help." I said to Sabrina. "Come on, the tree doesn't have all day. Next, eh." One of the cats said, a orange one that is, well, I'm just gonna say it since there's no easy way to say the next part. He's kind of fat. There, I said it.
"Sabrina Spellman" Sabrina said. "Nicole Candler." Nicole said next. "Aaron Dimension." I said last. The cat pulled out a white device and typed some stuff into it, then had a look of I guess realization or something like that. "Sabrina Spellman and Aaron Dimension? Salem's Sabrina and her partner Aaron?" The orange cat asked us. I got a bad feeling that whatever is about to be said isn't praises.
"Uh, yeah." Sabrina and I said as the orange cat nodded his head. "Hey, Gladius! Get your tail over here!" He said, calling over the other cat, a skinny white cat. "It's Salem housemaid and slave!" He said, pointing at Sabrina and I, causing us to gasp. "Housemaid?" Sabrina asked. "Slave?" I asked next. "Yeah. Salem told us all about you two." The white cat said. "How you both wait on him hand and foot, obey his every command." The orange cat explained to us.
"He told you that, did he?" Sabrina asked, angry. "When I get my hands on that little jerk..." I said, only to be interrupted by the vulture. "Next!" It said. The two cats bowed down a bit while pointing to the tree. We're walking to the tree of my destiny, which hangs in the balance at this point. Tree of Wisdom, you're my only hope.
The tree has a face! I screamed in my head. I know what you're going to say. 'But Aaron, of course it would have a face! What kind of magical tree doesn't have a face?' Hey, don't blame me for not going to all trees I encounter and ask them if they have a face on them, smart alecks!
"W-what do we do?" Nicole asked as we were trembling while holding each other. "I don't k-k-k-know." Sabrina said through chattering teeth. "Rawk! State your wish." The vulture said to us. "Uh, hiya." Sabrina said. Really, we were in front of the one thing that can possibly deny Sabrina the one thing she wants for herself, the reason why I made the deal with Madi, the reason why Cassandra made fun of Nicole in the first place and all she could think is 'Hiya'?
"Um, yeah, hi." Nicole said. I'm doomed, yet still bowed with Sabrina and Nicole, having one hand on our backs and the other over our hearts. "Oh, hurry it up, will you? I got leaf lice here and it itches! Oh, is it itchy." The Tree of Wisdom said, scratching its, em style="box-sizing: border-box;"his/em side. "Wanna help me out with a little teensy scratch?" He asked us.
"I guess. Okay." Sabrina said as she walked towards the tree. "Here?" She asked, scratching the spot. "Oh, that nice. Oh, that nice. Thank you, thank you, thank you. So, what can I do for you girls and little guy?" The tree asked us. "Well, it's like this. Basically..." "We, uh, my friend and I, we uh..." Sabrina and Nicole were trying to get a version of their problems out. Yes, I sense their emotions and they're embarrassed to admit it that they are the ones who have the problems.
"Spit it out!" The vulture said. "Leave them alone!" I said to the vulture. "Well, let's say that we have these friends, right?" Sabrina asked. "Hmm, right, a couple of 'friends' with a little problem." The tree said, already knowing who these 'friends' are. "That's it! You see, they're sort of half-witches, and..." Sabrina was interrupted by a 'Rawk! Half-witches? Do they know their witchcraft?" from the vulture.
"Uh, sure." Sabrina answered. The vulture then flew down onto the ground in front of us and the tree. "They better. If they wanna get out of the realm." The vulture said. "Alive." It added for the fear factor. "We better go." Nicole whispered to us. "And fast." Sabrina whispered. "Best idea all night, or day. I don't know anymore." I whispered back as we started to back away.
"Stop right there!" The tree shouted to us. "Y-yes sir." We replied. Great, just as we were about to run away and leave, so I could beat Madi's deal once and for all. "Come back here!" He said, as we walked back to the spots we were at before.
"I know who the half-witches are." He said, causing Sabrina and Nicole to gasp. "You do?" Sabrina asked. "The half-witches are you." The tree said. "And I'm guessing he's a half-warlock." He asked, pointing at me. The vulture just cried out before flying up to one of the higher branches.
"I've got three out of nine lives left. I'm not throwing away anymore." The orange cat said from behind us. "I only got two." The white cat said before the two ran away. Scaredy cats! Get it, because they're cats and they ran away? No one gets it? Really? Fine, I'll just call them cowards then.
"Good help is hard to find. So what the big deal ab out being a halfling? I've got a cousin who's half peach." The tree said. Wait, does he think I have a problem being a half-warlock? Because I don't have a problem with my heritage at all.
"You do?" Sabrina asked. "Got another who's half oak." The tree said. "Really?" Nicole asked. "Well, as long as we're confessing, I'm part pidgeon myself." The vulture said. "We were wondering if you could, if you could make whole?" Sabrina asked, looking at Nicole briefly.
"Hmm. you sure about that?" The tree asked them. "Yes." Sabrina and Nicole said. "And what about your friend over there?" He asked, indicating me. "I'm okay with how I am. But Sabrina, Nicole, please don't do this. I get the feeling something bad will happen to you two." I pleaded with them.
"You don't wanna be a half anymore?" The tree asked them. "That's right." Sabrina said. "And don't worry, Aaron. We'll be fine. When have I ever been wrong?" Sabrina asked me. "Last year, every time you have a plan." I pointed out, but it seems like she ignored that comment.
"So two halves wanna be a whole?" The tree asked them. Please deny them, please tree, you're my last hope. "Exactly." Sabrina said. For some reason, it felt like there some energy residing inside of my, boling with my rage at my situation, the fact that Sabrina isn't even listening to me, the fact that I'm helpless to stop this, the fact that soon I would belong to the 'Devil' all just because I thought I could beat her at her own game! I know how she works, but I thought by now she would stop once hearing the tone of my voice.
\"Alright. If you sure you're sure. Backup a little. Right there. Yep." The tree said as Sabrina and Nicole stood under a pillar of light that came from nowhere. "Sabrina, Nicole. Please don't do this! We can head back there and face the problem in the face!" I pleaded one last time, only for the tree to recite the spell. I can't remember the first part of the spell, but the second part of it is what sealed my fate, forever.
"What once was half shall now be whole." He said as the spell was completed. "No!" I cried out, but it was too late as clouds created from the spell came and started making a storm. I tried to run towards them, to try and stop the spell, but the winds were pushing me back. The clouds surround the two and the last thing I saw on Nicole's face was fear before she and Sabrina were swallowed up. Swallowed up by the spell right in front of me.
Madison's Perspective
"NOW!" I said, putting the Nicole doll near a satanic ritual mark.
