As the sun has nearly set Tony Almeida and Audrey Raines are brought into this armored truck by several masked gunmen. Neither is certain who went to all this trouble to abduct them.

Aarash is brought to CTU for interrogation. Not suprisingly he has thus far refused to talk. Despite the bad reaction that Jonas Hodges had to the sodium penathol, Mason sees little other choice. He authorizes Doyle to administer the drug to Aarash.

The x-ray machine is brought to Sabzi, and to the man he called "Professor." This man, Stasevich, was a former soviet nuclear scientist. After the collapse of the Soviet Union Stasevich found himself with very poor pay, when he was payed at all. He offered his talents to Iran, North Korea, whoever could pay him a lot of money. This got him on the american's radar and he spent years in Guantanamo. Now, in his old age, Stasevich wanted revenge, and he wanted to feel significant, hence he was offering his services to Sabzi, even if it cost him his life.

Sabzi: Can you make a bomb from this?
Stasevich: Yes. We could make a bigger bomb if more of your friends can deliver the material.
Sabzi: I still haven't heard from Aarash or any of the other teams. We will make due with what we have for now.
Stasevich: Very well, I will get started.

Nicole Duncan if performing the autopsy on Jonas Hodges. Somehow Hodges was allergic to sodium penathol and it killed him. But Nicole discovers something unexpected in Hodges' system. Amanita Phalloides, a poisonous mushroom. This was not one of the ingrediants in sodium penathol, unless someone at CTU put it in there. Clearly someone was trying to eliminate high value witnesses, the kind who might have valuable intel but wouldn't otherwise talk. Nicole Duncan immediately called George Mason and warned him. Mason immediately stopped Aarash's interrogation. All he had given them was some babbling about a "Professor" and now he was also having a bad reaction.
