CHAPTER 11 ,

Abhijeet(angrily)- Daksh..Tumhari himmat kaise hui meri wife Taarika se aise baat karne ki. Aur waise bhi Taarika ne jo kiya bilkul sahi kiya.

Kavin- Sahi kiya? Issmein kuch sahi nahi tha...naahi Taarika ka Siya ke saath aisa behave karna aur naahi aapka Daksh sir se aise baat karna. Jab se aapsab aaye hain tab se main dekh raha huun ki aap sab meri behen se kitne rudely behave kar rahe hain. Arre Siya to aap sab se itna pyaar karti hai aur aapsab uske pyaar ko yuun bezzat kar rahe hain!

Daya- Oh please Kavin! Shreya humse kya kissi se pyaar nahi kar sakti aur naahi yeh khud pyaar ke laayak hain.

Shreya looked him teary eyed. Purvi and Ishita were having tears in their eyes. They were not able to do anything for their best frnd cum sister.

Daya (continued calmly)- Dekho Kavin, tum bohot ache ho..tumsab bohot ache ho..mujhe pata hai par tumsab ko yeh nahi pata ki yeh larki kitni chalaak hai. Yeh tumsab ki achhai ka faida utha rahi hai. Isski bholi surat par mat jao..(raised his voice) yeh pariwaar jorne mein nahi torne mein vishwaas rakhti hai. Yeh sirf tum sab se pyaar ka naatak kar rahi hai. Yeh sirf khud se pyaar karna jaanti hai aur ki...(he was cut in the middle)

Kavin (shouted in anger)- Bas..Ab ek aur labzz nahi. Yeh kya ulta sidha bole ja rahein hain aap sab meri behen ke baare mein. Arre aapsab ne to sirf do saal usske saath kaam kiya hai..wo aapki sirf ek collegue hai par meri behen hai wo. Bachpaan se jaanta huun usse. Aur kya keh rahe the aap, Siya kissi se pyaar nahi karti dikhawa karti hai? Agar aap aisa sochte haina to isska matlab aap isse samajh hi nahi paaye. Siya humesha khud se pehle doosron ke baare mein..apne pariwaar ke baare mein sochti hai..samjhe aap! Aur aap hote kaun hain Siya ke baare mein aisa bolne waale. Jaante hi kitna hain aap Siya ko haan? Main jaanta huun Siya ko kyunki main usska bhai huun..

Riya (shouted)- Oh great! Hum sab jaante hain ki aapka aur Siya ka bhai behen ka rishta hai. Par aapsab ko nahi pata ki Shreya aur Daya ka kya rishta tha. Kyun Shreya bata duun main ki tumhara aur Daya ka kya rishta tha? Hmm?

All Mathura members got confused by her words. Shreya's eyes clearly reflected the fear buried inside her heart.

Riya continued- Bohot pyaar karti hai na Shreya aapsab se..to puchiye isse ki itni bari baat aapsab se kyun chuppa kar rakha hua hai issne. Poochiye iss ehsaan faramosh larki se jisse khud ke alawa kissi ki parwaah nahi. Puchiye isse...

Aditi- Kya bolti jaa rahi ho tum Riya. Kaun sa raaz?Aap sab ko hua kya hai. Aap sab Shreya se aise baat nahi karsakte samjhe aapsab..

Taarika- Kyun? Kyun nahi karsakte. Isse jo mann mein aayega yeh wo karegi. Yeh jo kare wo sahi aur hum jo kare wo galat..waah. Waise Shreya..kamaal ka jaadu kara hai tumne inn sab par. Bilkul waise hi jaise pehle humpar kiya tha..par ab wo jaduu khatm ho chuka hai bas afsos iss baat ka hai ki tumhare jaduu se bahar nikalne mein thori derr ho gayi. Aditi..humaari baat maanlo..yeh larki aisihi hai sab ko pyaar ke jaal mein phasaati hai phir dhokha de kar saari khushiyaan chin leti hai...

Kavin- Taarika..stop it...

And this fight continued. Two families were fighting with each other. The scene was so scary.

Mumbai team was continuously accussing Shreya while Mathura team was trying to protect her. But in between all this..both the teams didn't notice Shreya and Purvi's condition.

Shreya was closing her eyes tightly . Tears continuosly rolling down her eyes while Purvi was crying. She wanted to speak and stop the fight but she couldn't..

Shreya slowly took her steps back and without anybody's notice ran upstairs. Purvi saw her. She could feel her pain..the pain she was also going through..the pain of seeing their family members fighting and also just because of them.

Purvi (loudly)- Stop it! All stopped. There was complete silence. All started staring her. Everyone' s heart pinched to see her eyes red and tears flowing down her cheeks.

Purvi started crying. She folded her hands infront of them.

Purvi (cryingly)- Please ruk jaiye. Mat lariye plz. Aur nahi dekh sakti main. Bas kijiye plz.

And then she also ran upstairs.

All realized what they were doing. All were guilty after realizing their mistake. Noone had courage to speak a word furthur. Slowly everyone went to their respective rooms .

On the other hand, Purvi and Shreya were in their respective rooms.

Shreya was sitting on the floor, keeping her head on the bed. Her eyes were swollen but then also she didn't stop crying.

Both at the same time were trying to open the door but all of their efforts were put in vain. Both looked at each other in disappointment as their rooms were just beside each other.

Kavin was sitting on the bed in his room putting hand on his head. Whatever happened today was revolving in his mind. He was thinking about Shreya..Also whenever he closed his eyes, Purvi's face came infront of his eyes. Her tears..her red eyes ..everything..

Daya was in his room. He was very angry. He was thinking about the incident which took place four years back. His hate for Shreya was increasing day by day..minute by minute. He picked a vase and threw it on the floor. It broke into pieces.

Shreya (pov)- Hey kanha, main yahaan roo rhi huun..najane Purvi kaisi hogi..

Purvi (pov)- Hey bhagwaan, main Shreya ke baare mein kaise bhool gayi. Pata nahi bechari par kya beet rahi hogi..

Both at the same time opened the door and found Ruhi and Ishita standing outside. Both ignored their gazes and looked towards each others room. and found each other standing near the gate.

Both ran and hugged each other tightly and cried for atleast fifteen minutes.

Ishita and Ruhi looked each other and smiled slightly.

Purvi- Yeh sab kya ho gaya Shreya. Wo nazara, dimaag se nikal hi nahi raha. Dono families aapas mein aise larr rahi thi jaise log dushmann se larte hoon.

Shreya- Wo nazara bilkul ek nightmare ki tarah tha Purvi. Main bohot darr gayi thi. Aisa kyun hua Purvi..kyun hua..

She started sobbing.

Purvi(teary voice)- Yeh sab meri wajah se ho raha hai Shreya..sab meri wajah se ho raha hai.

Shreya- Nahi Purvi, tu aisa kyun bol rahi hai. Teri wajah se kuch nahi ho raha. Infact yeh sab kuch meri wajah se ho raha hai. Dono families ke bich jo daraar aayi hai meri wajah se aayi hai. Sab meri galti hai...

Purvi nodded in no. Then only a voice came,

"Kyun ho raha yeh sab teri wajah se Shreya", Kavin said.

Purvi and Shreya turned and were shocked to see all the Mathura members standing there.

Ruhi- Bolo Siya..ab humein jawaab chahiye kya ho raha hai yeh sab.

Shreya closed her eyes. She was afraid..afraid of loosing her family once again..

Purvi- Guys, listen. Pehle hum sab room mein chalte hain phir baat karenge.

Ishita- Haan, Purvi di sahi keh rahi hain. Ek kaam karte hain hum sab Shreya di ke room mein chalte hain.

All Mathura members were looking towards Purvi and Ishita with questioning eyes. Both understood this fact.

Purvi- Relax...main aap sab ke saath huun..Shreya ke saath huun aur waise bhi ek bff dusri bff ka saath nahi degi to aur kaun dega..

Ishita- Haan..aur main bhi apni Shreya di ke saath thi huun aur humesha rahungi.

Aur main bhi...a voice came.

All found Dushyant standing behind.

Dushyant came near Shreya, cupped her face and said"I am sorry Shreya..main tere liye kuch nahi kar paya..main apne bhai hone ka farz nahi nibha paaya..really sorry. Aur jab se pata chala ki tu mere best friend Kavin ki behen hai tab se mujhe aur zyada guilt ho raha hai. Please ho sake to mujhe maaf karde"

Shreya (held his hand)- Nahi bhai..aap sorry kyun bol rahe. Aapki koi galti nahi hai. Aap sahi keh rahe hain..aapne mere favour mein kuch nahi kaha par yeh bhi to sach hai ki aapne aaj tak kabhi bhi mere against bhi kuch nahi kaha. Aur I know aap humesha se mere saath the bas rishton ki jaal mein fass gaye the. Agli baar se aapne sorry kaha na to main baat nahi karungi..samjhe?

Dushyant (smiled)- Hmm..and I promise ab chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye mein humesha tera saath dunga..har mor par tera haath pakar kar khara rahunga.

Shreya smiled in tears. She hugged him. After few seconds both separated.

Kavin- I know Shreya..maine waada kiya tha ki main kabhi tujhse kuch nahi puchunga par..

Shreya- Aapko koi safaayi dene ki zaroorat nahi hai bhai. I can understand. Aaj jo bhi hua uske baad aapka mujhe confront karna sahi hai. Main bhi agar aapki jagah hoti to sawaal zaroor karti. And waise bhi ab mujhe aapsab ko sab sach batana hai..main aur iss bojh ko nahi utha sakti.

Aayiye aapsab meri room mein. Aaj main aapsab ko sab sach sach bataungi.

All nodded. They went inside Shreya's room and locked the door. All settled themselves. Some on bed..some on sofa..while Shreya sat in the middle.

Ruhi- Waise Purvi, Ishita, Dushyant sir..apsab ko to sab pata hi hoga phir aapsab kyun

Ishita- Nahi Ruhi di humein sab nahi pata..infact humein bhi kahaani ka sirf1% hi pata hai aur wo1% bhi jhootha hi hai

Purvi- Haan..aur ab humein sab sach janna hai jo sirf Shreya ko pata hai.

All looked towards Shreya.. She was having little fear in her eyes. All noticed it.

Kavin (comforted her)- Shreya darr mat. Hum sab tere apne hain. Humein tujhpar poora vishwaas hai. Baakiyon ka pata nahi par iss room mein jitne log mawjood hain, they all trust you. Teri kahi hui har baat par humein vishwaas hai. Bejhijak humein sab bata de.

Shreya felt relaxed by his words. She smiled.

Shreya- Thanks bhai. Ab main aap sab ko sab kuch bataungi..everything..

On the other side,

Snehal was in deep thoughts..

Snehal(pov)- Kahan mili huun main unse..I have to find it out.

Ek baar shuru se sochti huun... Pankaj told me that Shreya di ke saath wo sab chaar saal pehle hua tha..Kavin sir ne bataya tha ki Shreya di chaar saal se unke saath hai. Itna to clear hai ki main chaar saal pehle hi unse mili huun wo bhi Mumbai mein hi because I never visited Mathura..

Jab Shreya di ke saath wo sab hua tha usse do mahine pehle hi main Mumbai aayi thi. It means inn do mahinon mein hi main unse mili huun..par kahaan...

After a pause..kahin hospital mein to nahi? Ho sakta hai..I have to find out.

Snehal called her PA who was in Mumbai..

Snehal (on call)- Hello Diya, jald se jald chaar saal pehle mere join hone se lekar usske do mahine baad tak ke Shreya name ki har patient ki details jald se jald mujhe forward karo..It's urgent..Do it immediately. Aur haan..One more thing , mujhe unke photograph bhi chahiye. Am I clear?

Diya- Ok ma'am don't worry. Just give me five minutes.

Call gets cut. After five minutes.. Beep..beep..beep phone vibrated.

Snehal- Lagta hai message aagaya.

She started checking and after few minutes she got a huge shock. She sat on her bed with a thud. She kept her hand on her mouth. Tears brimmed into her eyes..

Snehal- Oh god..main wo din kaise bhool gayi. Uss din hi to wo mujhe milli thi. Main hi to lekar gayi thi unhein hospital. Maine hi to check kiya tha unhein. Par yeh kaise ho sakta hai. Isske baare mein to Pankaj ne kabhi zikr nahi kiya mujhse..

Isska matlab Shreya di ne yeh baat kissi ko nahi bataayi. Yeh baat sirf Shreya di ko pata hai. Par kyun...

Kahin Shreya di sach mein bekasuur to nahi. Kahin wo sach to nahi keh rahi? Mujhe Shreya di se baat karni hogi jald se jald. Aakhir hua kya hai..mujhe pata karna hi hoga. Kyunki agar yeh sach hai to Shreya di ke saath jo hua aur jo ho raha hai wo sahi nahi hai. Mujhe baat karni hi hogi di se...

On the other side,

Shreya took a deep breath and started..

Shreya- Yeh kahaani cheh (six) saal pehle shuru hui thi Mumbai mein. Uss waqt Kavin bhai as an undercover agent ek mission par gaye hue the. Issliye inn sab ke baare mein unhein kuch nahi pata. Mumbai ko sapnon ka sheher mana jaata hai. Kehte hain ki wahaan jaakar sab ko sab kuch mil jata hai. Par wahaan jaakar mujhse to mera sab kuch chinn gaya.. Sab khatm ho gaya..

FLASHBACK ,

Shreya joined Cid six months ago. In these six months, Shreya made very good relations with everyone. She considered Abhijeet, Sachin, RAJAT and Dushyant as her elder brothers, Kaajal as her elder sister, Purvi as her bff as well as sister, Ishita as her younger sister, Taarika as a good friend and Acp, Salunkhe sir were like a father figure not just for her but for everyone. Riya was on a mission since past seven months. Snehal didnot enter into their lives yet.

Taarika was very much attached to Rajat and considered him as her brother.

Purvi and Rajat were in relationship for the past five months. Ishita and Dushyant loved each other but never confessed and the whole bureau was aware of this fact.

Abhirika were married.

In these six months Shreya and Daya developed feelings for each other but didn't confess. Whole bureau was well aware of this fact. Everyone made many plans to make them confess their love for each other but everytime their plans failed.

One day,(in bureau);

Everyone was engrossed in their files.

Beep..beep..phone vibrated.

Shreya picked up the call, excused herself and moved in one corner to talk.

Shreya- Hello mumma! Kaisi ho aap?

Mom- Main thik huun beta. Tu kaisi hai aur kaam kaisa chal raha hai tera?

Shreya- Main bilkul thik huun mumma aur kaam bhi badhiyaan chal raha hai.

Mom- Achi baat hai. Waise tu busy hai kya? Mujhe ek important baat karni thi tujhse.

Shreya- Haan mumma boliye.

Mom- Shreya main jaanti huun ki tera kaam bohot mayne rakhta hai tere liye..tu humesha kaam mein busy rehti hai. Par personal life bhi to important hai na. Tu 21 saal ki ho gayi hai. Ab tujhe apne upar bhi to dhyaan dena chahiye na.

Shreya (pov)- Kahin mumma wo to nahi kehne wali jo main soch rahi huun. Nahi nahi aise kaise.

Shreya (hesitantly)- Aap kehna kya chahti ho mumma. Saaf saaf boliye na.

Mom (took a deep breath)- Maine aur tere papa ne milkar tere liye ek bohot achaa rishta dhundha hai. Tu shaadi karle. IAS officer hai..papa ke dost ka beta hai. Bara sanskari hai. Wo tujhe bohot khush rakhega.

Shreya (loudly)- Kya!

Shreya was shocked. Her legs started trembling. Tears made their way through her cheeks. Her face got red. Whole bureau started looking towards her.

Shreya (trembling voice)- Mumma aap yeh kya keh rahe ho. Mujhe abhi shaadi nahi karni please.

Mom- Kya hua Shreya , tujhe shadi kyun nahi karni?

(After a pause)- Kahin tu kissi se pyaar to nahi karti. Dekh Shreya agar aisa hai to mujhe abhi batade. Mujhe koi objection nahi hoga. Par baad mein agar tu aakar kahegi to main kuch nahi kar paungi. Do ghante hain tere paas. Soch kar decision bata dena !

Shreya (cryingly)- Mumma..mumma meri baat to..(but the call was already cut)

Shreya(pov)- Do ghante? Itne kamm waqt mein main kya karungi. Main Daya sir se pyaar karti huun par kya wo mujhse pyaar karte hain..Shayad mera pyaar adhura hi reh jaega. Meri kismat mein Daya sir hain hi nahi shayad. Aur waise bhi mumma ne jo bhi mere liye socha hai wo sahi hi hoga..I am sure.

Maine tay kar liya hai ki ab mujhe kya karna hai.

She dialled her mother's number.

Shreya- Hello mumma..maine decide karliya hai.

Mom- Arre waah! Tune itni jaldi decide karliya. Chal bata kya socha hai tune?

Shreya- Mumma mujhe pata hai..apne mere liye jo bhi socha hoga wo sahi hi hoga..And I am ready. Aapki khushi mein hi meri khushi hai.

Mom(excitedly)- Kya! Waah beta kya khabar sunayi hai tune. Chal phone rakh. Yeh khushkhabri mujhe tere papa ko bhi to deni hai.

Shreya was on the verge of crying.

Shreya- Ok mumma bbye!

She cut the call, wiped her tears and turned around and found the whole Cid team standing there fixing their gaze on her.

Shreya was shocked.

Shreya- Aap sab yahaan aise.

Purvi put her hands on her shoulder.

Purvi(concerned tone)- Pehle tu bata tu aise? Kuch hua hai kya? Kiska phone tha Shreyu?

Shreya (lowering her gaze)- K..kuch nahi Purvi mumma ka call tha. Wo unki yaad aagayi issliye thora emotional ho gayi main.

Daya- Jhuth..jhuth kyun bol rahi ho Shreya..tumhare chehre se saaf pata chal raha hai ki baat kuch aur hai.

Now Shreya's anger raised to the peak.

Shreya (little loudly)- Sahi kaha aapne Daya sir. Baat kuch aur hai. Aur aap janana chahte haina ki baat kya hai to suniye. Mumma ne meri shaadi fix kardi hai mere papa ke dost ke bete se. He is an IAS officer. Sunliya aapne ki phir se bolun.(now little more loudly) "Meri mumma ne meri shaadi fix kardi hai". And haan main bohot khush huun. Dekhiye. See, I am perfectly fine. Ek aur baat..maine iss rishte ke liye haan bhi kardi hai. Aapko pata hai kyun...kyunki mujhe dusron ki emotions ki kadr hai. Main nahi chahti thi ki meri wajah se mumma hurt ho. Par yahaan kuch log aise hain jinhe dusron ki koi parwaah hi nahi hai.

All were hell shocked listening this. Daya's eyes brimmed with tears.

Tears flowed from Shreya's eyes. All were looking towards Daya in disgust.

Shreya started going.

Purvi- Shreya sunn meri baat. Shreya...

But she left.

Purvi (turning towards Daya)- Yeh sahi nahi hua sir. Abbhi waqt hai sambhaal ligiye sab kuch.

Purvi also ran behind Shreya.

Abhijeet (kept his hand on Daya's shoulder)- Purvi ne sahi Kaha Daya. Abbhi der nahi hui hai. Yaad rakhna sacha pyaar kismat waalon ko milta hai. Usse yuun itni aasaani se jaane mat de.

Daya looked towards Abhijeet. Abhijeet nodded.

In canteen,

Shreya was crying keeping her head on the table while Purvi was trying to console her.

Purvi- Shreya kitna roegi. Chup ho ja na nahi to teri tabyat kharab ho jaegi.

Shreya- (sitting in the same position with trembling voice)- Kaise shaant ho jaun Purvi. Tujhe to sab pata hai na. Mere saath hi kyun hua aisa. Unhein sach mein meri koi fikr hi nahi hai. Jhooth ka main unka intezaar karti rahi itne dinon tak. Main hi paagal thi jo umeed lagakar baithi thi ki ek na ek din wo mujhe apne dil ki baat zaroor bataenge. Par ab samajh aa raha hai ki aisa kuch nahi hoga kyunki unke dil mein mere liye kuch hai hi nahi...

She again started sobbing.

"Kisne kaha tumse aisa ki mere dil mein tumhare liye kuch nahi hai", a voice came from behind.
