QUICK DISCLAIMER
[Hello, Fanfiction readers and SIMS enthusiasts just wanted to drop the disclaimer. Honestly, I don't own any the characters of any of the franchises of Sims1, 2, 3, or 4 or otherwise cannon bits included in this hopefully fun saga. It's like any Sims game to a PC user different…and incorporates multiple timeline histories (just majorly ignoring a lot from Sims4, because of alternate timeline) So a lot of stuff is majorly AU stuff or viewpoint of how I view the sims saga, focusing between the events of Sims1 & Sims2 (Twenty-Five years after 1st, but Twenty-Five years before 2nd) Cozy middle ground if you get my drift, so please go easy on me with the Flames, and have mercy. Less serious focus and my goal is funnier dribble with humor and some dark bits. Any whom hope you enjoy and hope I get the lore right for what I am aiming for, if not please message and I'll correct the best of my ability. Anywho…on with the story.]
As long as I could remember The Sims1 was the start of my obsession with my escape to my reality as a kid growing up in a small rural community. As the games shifted into the various other expansions, personally I could never forget the fond memories and escape the game franchise brought me. However, as the years and decades shifted and my life eventually found myself in college and doing online courses while working on tutoring college students or my younger brother in his final years of high school back home. With the dreaded pandemic of the global situation, and sitting at home majority of binging television sagas, read my books on the shelves, it was the plundering of my old boxes my parents had sent with my younger brother when he drove last week to personally thank me for helping assist him on his assignment for the English final.
My parents haven't always gotten on good terms with myself, as I've always been a loner or you could say estranged as long as I could ponder my subconscious. My father partook into sports, his interest driving beyond the point of irritating when my followings cycled a different calling. My older Sister was decent but moved out and just dropped all contact, which broke his and my mom's heart. Sure my parents fought, but when my younger brother came along things slowly shifted and as time progressed spent more time in my room isolated with my computer, rather than my freshmen brother whom took interest in my father's pursuits, however when my boyfriend was outed by the school's football team and small town gossip as gospel, I decided to leave home and pursue academics in out of state college or least near the border of my state about three hours away.
Plundering the old cardboard box, few collections of belongings swore my father expressed were thrown out were actually neatly piled into three boxes to make room for the family office for my mom's real-estate business, since the pandemic business moving home and leap of faith decided to break away from her long term contract and work on her own. Though Anthony, my younger brother swore it was probably best to wait, our parents never knew when to not jump, and well his old bedroom became an office. The cake of dust on the belongings and stuffed puppet, made me chuckle as I tossed it into the box, debating about goodwill pile, when a plastic case caught my eye with the familiar CD binder. The Sims series…and even had my old copies of Sims3, though my parents swore was a waste of the time my money back then was worth every penny for the good grades and gave my parents less to gripe about. Which after a few moments made me eager to download the games to the Gaming PC I kept in my space of the off-campus dorm, though pricy they worked a good deal with the owner if they agreed to pick up shifts at the local bookstore, which he got paid. However with the circumstances the shop closed and basically unemployed and his roommate family, could stay even with the campus evacuated, as it was off-campus grounds, but affiliated with the structure and policies.
After several long hours and the sun emitting form the shutters in the living room revealing it was dark outside, I heard a hard fumble followed by a metallic juggle of keys. Sighing aggregately, though my mind was sour about my roommate, I still cared about Justin, even if he had the common sense of a tin can open both ends, however, him and his Uncle were good guys. He attended events, though social distancing dancing on the line and two kept their space life was reasonable relationship. So putting the dampened thoughts of his roommate as Justin stumbled into the apartment, probably wasted or impaired, all I could do was shrug it off as the idiot fumbled by my room into his bedroom down the hall, before lumbering into the direction of the kitchen.
So nothing to do and a long weekend, I did my best to ignore Justin, but when my roommate sprawled past the confines of my room to his bedroom, he stopped. "Sup nerd?" Justine smiling sipping from the fresh zollo cup of what smelled like Orange Juice laced with liquor, as Justine proceeded into my bedroom and uncomfortably leaned forward to peer into what was on my computer as the bone-head joshed, rambling before exclaiming, "what dirty secrets ya keeping-," His answers halted as he saw the loading of the modded game and subedit how to load the 'NEW EXPERIENCE SIMULATOR', as I quivered and heaved a dry cough at the massive fumes of the mixed drink. After the persistence and egging from Justine, as he spoke, "Wait?! The Sims? I –" Justine halts his sentence as he sipped his mixed drink its potent odor strong, as I scooted the chair forward and allowed my roommate to see my computer screen. Justine was brief as his fascination lit his face up, and said, "…had that game when I was a kid, my Uncle bought um for me, though its been years since I poked around them." The roommate seemed glazed as we exchanged a smile, and he offered the glass, "here…lets *hic* do an old school night, here take my drink…" Before I could protest, the drink concoction was already in my hands, as I figured I didn't have anything better to do, however, what was one drink to do to me.
Sipping the drink, as the Launcher loaded the custom loading screen and platform of the SIMS sage, it was that moment I called back to my roommate, "Dude…what did you –shutters and smacks my lips- put in the drink," as the screen began to pulsate in colors, and feeling immediate effects as the program loaded up and the string of error messages brought on a new loading screen, as the red taskbar read, "INTERMINGLE WITH FOURTH WALL CONNECTION….WAITING." As the world swirled with a a blanket of colors and the mixed drink numbing my after thoughts I began to feel depleted of energy as the drink tumbled over into the waste bin, and slowly raising to my feet found my roommate like myself trying to keep hold of something as the force of whatever was occurring was becoming too much. Lastly, the only thing I can recall or the last moments between my roommate and myself was him clamoring to my door white-knuckling the frame like the apartment was turned upward and he was trying to hold onto something to keep balance, as he reached a hand and last words he spoke, "….Kori." Before the universe went fully dark, and I began to drift into a sea of patterns and shapes as my body was pulled into the digital matrix of reality with a cackle of female laughter as images of faces, I couldn't make out surfaced in my state of dreaming…Now as you may be wondering my experience and how the world of the Sims universe literally ripped my reality and how I woke up in Old Town of all things. Well it begins with a bender from a roommate offering cup of orange juice screwdriver tightened little too loose, which resulted in me with a major crick in my neck and annoyingly bright sun in my face with a familiar face to great me.
