Jack continues to evade the police. He has no doubt that Chapelle and CTU are also looking for him. And by now the hospital security are on the lookout as well. Jack knows that if he goes there it will only b a matter of time before he's arrested. He just wants to say goodbye to Kim, before it's too late. The real uestion is, how to get past those security guards.

Agent Hayes plans to assasinate president Donovan. Once Mandy's team breaches the perimeter, it will be protocol to bring the president to the bunker, noone else will know about the bomb that Hayes has planted. Hunter will get all of the blame, and Hayes will be in place. With Hodges dead, Hayes will take orders from president Allen. As he sees it, she's the only one willing to do what's neccessary to stop islamofascism, and destroy the taliban as oppossed to making peace with them.

Gary Miller waits nervously at the hospital for news about his beloved Willow. She took pity on him, on all these strangers, and those racists tried to murder her for it. If Willow dies, Gary will make someone pay for this.

Tony Almeida and Audrey Raines are once again being taken to prison. And once again someone tries to murder them. This time it isn't their guards, but masked gunmen who attack their van. The two guards are murdered, Tony and Audrey quickly take their guns and fight back. They kill these three masked gunmen, now they're unsure what to do.

Audrey: What do we do now?
Tony: The only way they could have gotten our location was from the inside. Someone's tying up loose ends.
Audrey: It probably has something to do with that investigation, someone who's involved in this conspiracy.
Tony: And we're not the only ones.
Audrey: Chloe?
Tony: She's in danger. Audrey, I realize we don't like each other, but we owe it to her to protect her.
Audrey: Agreed, let's go find her.
