DISCLAIMER I OWN NOTHING
"Stupid lightning storm knock out my cable," Cleveland muttered angrily to himself as he climbed the stairs. It was just getting to the good part of the movie where Scarlet Johansen and Emilia Clarke were gonna mud wrestle naked for the pleasure of the zombie Nazi gorillas when the cable went out. "Screw that movie, I'll just play me one of Junior's video games."
Entering his son's room, Cleveland sat down on the floor and turned the console on. As he cycled through all the downloaded games, he wondered which one to play.
"Zombie Army Trilogy, no, Assassin's Creed Odyssey? That's a maybe," he said, he passed over a few more before stopping on one. "Far Cry 4? That sounds interesting."
Just as Cleveland pressed the X button to open the game a large bolt of lightning struck the house, sending the electricity coursing through the power outlet, through the PS4 and up to the controller. Before he knew what had happened Cleveland found himself standing in the middle of an empty field.
"What happened and where am I?" looking around Cleveland saw vast mountains and clear skies all around him. "Last thing I remember I was getting ready to play a video game and then I'm here."
A twig snapping behind him made Cleveland freeze in place. After several seconds he turned to see a red dog coming towards him.
"Oh, thank God, its just a dog," he chuckled, bending down slightly he held out his hand. "Come here pup."
The dog began barking at him, and within seconds several more dogs came to join it.
"Boy, you sure got a lot of little friends, don't you," Cleveland said, a feeling of unease beginning to come over him. "I'm just gonna get out of here and leave you guys alone."
The next thing he knew, Cleveland was running down the road followed by several Dholes, a Tiger, two bears, and a Rhino.
"Junior I don't remember buying you this game and if I did, I am terribly sorry!" looking over his shoulder, Cleveland saw the conga line of vicious animals getting closer and closer, causing him to not see the cliff he was running towards until it was too late. "No no no no no nooooooo!"
Luckily, there was water at the bottom. Cleveland broke the surface and began to gulp down air.
"I'm alive? I'm alive!" Cleveland looked up to see the animals looking down at him from the cliff. "Ha ha can't get me now you bunch of furry pussies!"
His laughter slowly died away as right in front of him a crocodile floated to the surface.
"Oh, that's just not fair," he muttered.
Several members of the Golden Path watched as Cleveland was dragged under by the crocodile. After several seconds, he came crawling out of the water, covered in bite marks and missing his pants.
"I don't wanna play this game no more," he said, passing out.
Cleveland awoke to find himself in a small one room house. Sitting up, he was surprised to see that his wounds were healed.
"Did I dream that animal attack?" he said.
"No daddy, you died and respawned," Junior's voice said.
"Junior? Where are you?" Cleveland asked, he looked under the bed and then moved on to look behind other furniture. "Stop playin' hide n seek we need to find a way out of here."
"I'm watching you on the tv, daddy," Junior said. "You're trapped in my game somehow."
"Well, how do I get out?" Cleveland asked, opening the door and stepping outside.
"I guess you gotta complete a mission or something," Junior said. "I already beat the main game I still need to start the DLC."
"The what now?"
"Downloadable content," Junior replied. "It's the rest of the game the developers make you buy later on."
"Sounds crooked," Cleveland said. "Alright let's do this. What's this DLC called, anyway?"
"Valley of the Yeti," Junior replied.
The next thing Cleveland knew he was standing in the snow, and in the distance, he could see a tall, lumbering thing.
"What do I do?" Cleveland asked. "I beat it to death with my bare hands?"
"You use weapons, daddy," Junior said. "here, try this."
A shotgun suddenly appeared in Cleveland's hands.
"Oh that's cool," he said. "I'm gonna go kill me a yeti."
An hour later, Cleveland was sitting in a car, staring angrily at the yeti.
"Well daddy, looks like its now 43-0 yeti," Junior said.
"I know its 43-0 yeti!" Cleveland exclaimed. "I've used every weapon in the game! What am I supposed to do hit it with a car?! Wait a minuteā¦."
Jamming his foot down on the gas Cleveland began to laugh in triumph as he sped down the icy slope towards the yeti, unfortunately, the yeti shambled just barely out of reach, causing Cleveland to rocket past it, hit a rock, and flip over and roll several times.
"Don't say a word," Cleveland grumbled, gritting his teeth. "That stupid ape isn't getting the best of Cleveland Brown!"
Spotting a snowmobile sitting nearby, Cleveland crawled out of the flipped car and made his way over and climbed on. He pulled back the throttle and shot off towards the yeti. Just as the beast turned to face him, Cleveland slammed into it, causing the yeti to drop dead.
"that's all it took?" Junior asked. "You barely tapped it."
"That's some bull-"
Cleveland was cut off by a bright flash of light. When it was gone and he found himself standing in a room facing a door.
"Where am I?" he asked. "Junior?"
When no answer came, Cleveland shrugged and made his way over. As he opened the door he felt a hand grab him and turn him around.
"Welcome to the family son!" an old man in glasses said, right before he punched Cleveland, knocking him out.
