Hello, this is basically a somewhat re-telling of me and my sister's journey throughout Black/White game. While we were playing, we accidently started to roleplay as the main characters, which was actually rather fun.
The reason why I named Hilbert as Touya is just because I like his Japanese name a lot more.
If you expect an actual story, don't get your hopes too high, we weren't really that serious on roleplaying, especially with my sister doing Hilda.
It's been a few weeks, almost a month I think, so my memory is a bit hazy, but I'll try my best to recall what the hell we did.
Just as off note, I will be using the team we used during our playthrough, so if you ask about why the pokemons are named that way or why they have that pokemon on their team, that's why.
While writing this, I keep changing the pokemon they would get, I accidently gave Touya an Oshawott at first cause I remembered my first run instead of the run I did with my sister and because of that I accidently gave Bianca a Tepig as well.
The battle was supposed to be Bianca vs Touya and Cheren vs Hilda, but I figured since Touya just got his pokemon, I don't think it'd be smart for him to suddenly win and fight against Hilda (also because I was too lazy to do a protag vs protag)

The day starts off brightly as the sun dawns in the horizon. A quiet and refreshing blow of the wind, carrying the leaves of autumn in the air in the small town of Nuvema Town brought the new morning to the small town.
In a bedroom located in one of the few houses residing in Nuvema, a brown-haired female is still sleeping soundly on her pink bed. Drowzing around in her dreamland with occasional mumbles of sleep talking, the sound of her alarm clock has shaken her to awakeness, in her annoyance. With a grumble and half an effort, the female snoozed the alarm clock and proceed and try to go back to sleep.
Only to be awaken by a male voice, "Wake up Hilda!" and although she requests to be left alone for a few more shut-eyes, the person had apparently decided that getting enough rest for the day is not an option, as they rolled the female, named Hilda, towards the end of her bed. Hilda then falls off her bed, head first, shaking her to her conscious and letting the person who had rudely awaken her, a kick to the knee.
"What the hell was that for?! You know girls need their beauty sleep or-" Hilda then remembered that she apparently had a guest over in her house. As she only lives with her mother, it took a bit to remember in her dazed state. Finally opening her eyes, she sees the person in front of her, a male messy-haired brunet, around the same age as her. He's fully dressed in his black shirt, blue jacket, and dark grey pants that seems too loose for his size.
"I was only trying to help, geez…" The male sighed.
Finally getting up, although a bit lazily, Hilda finally stood and looked up at the boy who has given her rude awakening for the morning. "Well you could've done it in a more, maybe LESS hurting way, Touya!" Hilda gruff. "Yeah, yeah, sorry Hilda… at least we won't be late now!" The male, Touya, said with a hint of excitement in his voice.
And that's when it finally hit Hilda as she remembers. Touya had came and stayed at her house overnight as it was his birthday the other day, marking his 14th birthday and finally letting him have the chance to have his own starter Pokemon. Hilda had gained her starter during her birthday a few months ago, a Tepig she had named Daniel. But she and their friends decided to wait for the last of the quartet to also get his starter so they could start together. The other two of the quartet, Bianca and Cheren, had also gotten their starters during their birthday, an Oshawott and a Snivy respectively.
Touya moved away with his mother and brother to another town at the other side of the region as their mom had to work as a Pokemon Center Nurse in said town, thus the family moving out a few years ago. But even through that, the quartet still holds a long-distance friendship, with Touya occasionally visiting when one of them has a birthday party.
When said boy finally had his turn of turning of age to own a Pokemon, Hilda agreed to let Touya to stay in her home for night as he has to get his starter from the profound professor of the region, Professor Juniper, who happens to live in Nuvema Town as well.
And here they are now.
"Why didn't you wake me up any sooner?!" Hilda yelled at the only person in the room beside her as she ran towards the bathroom to get ready. "Well, I did, but SOMEONE wanted '5 more minutes', no problem by the way," Touya shot back, his voice getting quieter by the second, meaning he's probably going downstairs to wait for her.
Wearing her adventuring outfit, an XTranceiver on her left wrist, a black vest over a white shirt and her very, VERY short shorts with her Tepig's pokeball clipped to the belt, Hilda finishes her set-up with brushing her overly long hair into a giant ponytail. As she takes her cap and bag with her, she skips her way downstairs, finding Touya and her mom on the dining table eating breakfast which consist of pancakes and a few fruits from the bowl.
Touya noticed her presence first and pat the chair beside him, where the brunette walks to the chair and sat beside the boy. She took her share of breakfast and ate it with a satisfying 'mmm!'. The breakfast was mostly filled with random chatters before the two put their dirty dish in the sink. Both teens put on their respective cap, a white with pink bill and pokeball symbol for Hilda, and a red and white with black bill and pokeball symbol for Touya, and their travelling bag.
"I can't believe you kids are finally going on your own journey! Oh, it felt like yesterday that you were gushing over wanting to be champion~" Hilda's mom chuckled, as they were standing in front of her house. "Yeah, can't believe we're finally starting our adventure now," Hilda replied. "Please be safe out there, make sure to never trust strangers, always be your best, you always have your friends to help you out!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know mom." Hilda sighed as she hugs her mom, the latter letting a single tear out knowing she probably won't see her daughter for quite a while. Touya watched the whole scene play out, a warm smile plastered on his face.
As they release themselves from the hug, Hilda's mom gave the two four same-looking items, "these are town maps, they'll help you navigate the region whenever you feel loss," the woman explained. After a thank you, a wave, and a goodbye to the lady, Touya and Hilda walks towards the Pokemon Lab. Thankfully, the building was quite close so it only took them a few minutes to walk over.
At the front of the lab, two familiar figures are standing beside each other with their partner by their side, a Snivy and an Oshawott. The green beret wearing blonde waves at Hilda and Touya as the two speeds up to greet the other pair. "Took you two long enough." The other figure besides the blonde, wearing glasses and has jet black hair, noted. "Well I'm sorry for having to say farewell and have a long goodbye to my mom." Hilda jerked back at the male. Cheren only scoffed while Bianca joined in, "I can't believe we're finally starting our journey, I mean, we've been waiting for this moment this our live and now we can go and explore the entire region, like, wow!" She gleamed in excitement, Cheren can't help but smile at Bianca's enthusiasm while Touya and Hilda laughs a bit.
"Shall we enter now? I can't wait to my partner as well, you know!" Touya exclaimed, and as the other three unanimously nodded, he knocked and opened the door where the group walks into the lab.
As they walk in, a woman in a lab coat with a hair-style one can only describe as 'destroying any logical possibilities' stands before them as they stand in a line. "Welcome, I've been waiting for you all! As you all know, my name is Professor Juniper! And I think you all may know me for researching in how Pokemon comes into existence." The woman introduced herself. They all nodded eagerly, fueled with excitement.
"Skip the introduction already, I want to meet my partner now!" Touya shouted impatiently. The boy is basically shaking, not wanting to wait any longer. The professor seems to get a signal as her smile grew a bit, "Of course, Touya. Although a bit of formality would do, I don't think it'd be wise to keep you waiting any longer." She gestures Touya to follow her to the backroom, leaving the other three standing.
"What do you think he'll pick?" Bianca said.
"My bet's on Tepig." Hilda answered, tapping on Daniel's pokeball.
"I wouldn't be sure on that, he could really choose any of them." Cheren replied back.
A minute of waiting later, the boy in question and the professor walked out of the room, Touya basically hopping in joy as he heads back towards the group. The group all stared at him, wanting to ask which starter he had chosen but the professor cut them short before they have the chance to ask.
"Now that that's done, I have a request for you all!" Prof. Juniper said as she heads back to her desk, taking what seems like rectangular devices, two each on her hand. Cheren perks up at the sight of the device, probably already knowing what those are. "Pokedexes?" Cheren ask, just to make sure what he is seeing is indeed what he thought it is.
"Correct, Cheren!" Prof. Juniper answered gleefully. "Then if I guess correctly, your request is for us to collect every data of Pokemon there is while we travel around the region." He inquired. "Again, correct, although I should explain this as to make sure everyone else understands." The other three nodded, somewhat loss on what the two were talking about.
"The Pokédex is a high-tech device that automatically records the Pokémon you encounter! So, I want you three to visit many places and meet all of the Pokémon in the Unova region! So, Cheren, Bianca, Hilda, and Touya, will you complete the pokedex while going through your journey?"
"Of course professor."
"Okay- I mean yes, professor!"
"Sure will, prof!"
"You can count on us, professor."
"Thank you all of you, you have given me the best possible answers!" The professor smiles as she answers back the responses she had been given. "Now, I want you all to meet me up at Route 1, I will give you a catching tutorial there, ok?" And with that, the professor left the lab and out the door, leaving the four teens in her lab.
They were all getting ready to leave when Bianca suddenly piped up, "hey guys!" Everyone immediately looks toward her, "what is it, Bianca?" Hilda asked. "Since we all already got our starter, how about we finally battle each other? Tournament style!" Bianca suggested. It's actually a pretty good idea. The three never really battle with each other, Cheren wanting to give more time to strategize and train with his partner as well as Hilda training her Tepig in her off time while Bianca spent most of the time only growing her friendship with her Oshawott, so battling each other would be suitable now, especially that the last of the group has finally gotten their partner.
"I'd say, that's a pretty good suggestion! What about it you two?" Cheren asks Hilda and Touya, in which both give a firm nod, letting him know that they're both in.
The four teens proceed to split up into a pair, agreeing that the winner of each pair fight each other at the end. The pairing they have decided to do are Cheren versus Touya and Bianca versus Hilda. They went to a small field near the town, where the clearing is big enough to hold as a battlefield for the squad.
"Goodluck to you, Hilda! Let's go, Oshawott!" Bianca cheered as her Oshawott moves to in front of her, letting a cry in a battle stance. "You too, Bianca! Come on out, Daniel!" Said Swine Pokemon lets out a battle cry of his own, excited to finally have his first battle with another trainer.
"Tackle!" The two trainer shouted in unison as both Pokemons charges at one another, butting their head as hard as they can as they backflip away from the damage, both on par on each other. "Oh, um, okay, how about a Tail Whip this time?" Oshawott proceeds to sway her tail side to side, gaining the attention of Daniel who watches the hypnotizing movement, lowering his guard. "And Tackle!" Having caught his attention, the Oshawott charges at Daniel fullspeed. "Daniel, dodge!" And with the scream of his trainer, Daniel barely dodge a full-on Tackle from Oshawott. Taking the opportunity of the other one having to turn around, Daniel tackles the Oshawott from behind, letting it roll over a few times before finally getting to its feet.
"One more Tackle, Daniel!" Daniel goes in, trying to ram the Oshawott with the most powerful Tackle he could manage. "Ah, Oshawott, fight it back with your own Tackle!" Shaking her head to clear her head, the Oshawott runs toward Daniel at full speed as well, giving another collision in the middle and creating quite a dust cloud.
As the dust settles, both trainers see their Pokemon shakily standing, and when one of them falls, Bianca only ran towards her now fainted Oshawott, saying thank you and sorry. Daniel ran back as fast as he can towards his trainer who had her hands outstretched. She caught her Tepig and twirls around with him on her hand, laughing happily at their winning.
"Good battle, Hilda, you were really strong!" Bianca complimented with her fainted Oshawott in her arms, "Thank you, you were great too, Bianca," Hilda said back with a smile. As they looked over to the male's side, they see a fainted Snivy and another Snivy full of pride, stepping on the fainted snake. "You were amazing!" Cheren shouted towards his partner, who is now slithering back to his trainer all while Touya picked up his fallen partner on his arm, "Sorry, it was my fault for letting us lose," he said with as much positivity he can in his voice, although a hint of disappointment can be heard as well.
Cheren had pull out a potions and ether to heal his Snivy and used his revive and another potion on Touya's Snivy and Bianca's Oshawott when he noticed the females had finished their battle as well. Both fainted pokemon are now energized as they can be, letting out their disappointed face towards their trainers for having to lose on their first match. Touya and Bianca tried their best to cheer up their partners and both seems delighted enough by it. They all said a thank-you to Cheren and are now on the sidelines, ready to watch the match between Hilda and Cheren. Cheren had healed Daniel prior and gained another thanks from Hilda as the two go to their respective spot on the make-shift battlefield. "Ready?" Cheren asked, "Always am!" Hilda replied with determination
"Let's go, Snivy!" The Grass Snake Pokemon slithers in front of Cheren hissing at its opponent on the other side of the field as Daniel has been ready, standing with a battle stance in front of Hilda, who also has a determined look in her face.
"Alright Snivy, let's starts off with a Leer." Cheren's Snivy glares menacingly at Daniel with a twinkle in his eye. Daniel got a bit thrown off, shrinking and taking a step back from the intimidation as he lowers his guard. "Don't let it get to you Daniel, Tackle, head on!" The energy of his trainer's command shirks off the hesitation he had as he charges towards the Snivy, "Snivy, dodge it!" And with the command of his trainer, the snake barely avoided the tackle, slithering to the side to avoid the attack.
"Again, charge that fiend!" Daniel immediately does a full 180' turn and before the Snivy could look back, he had been hit by the pig. Cheren could only grits his teeth, "Alright Snivy, give him a taste of your own medicine!" The Snivy shook off the hit, before proceeding to hit Daniel with a tackle of his own. "Tackle him with your own, Daniel!" The Fire Pig Pokemon charges towards the grass-type. Both meet their own attack at the middle and being pushed back from the force. The Snivy was breathing rather heavily and looking beaten up, while Daniel on the other hand isn't as tired as Snivy is.
"Let's finish this Daniel, use one last Tackle!"
"Try to dodge it and attack from behind Snivy!"
Daniel starts running at the Snivy with fullspeed, while the Snivy tries its hardest to keep steady, his reaction time was too slow as Daniel had hit him head on with full force. The Snivy was thrown back, his eyes are spiralling, meaning the poor Pokemon had fainted.
Hilda runs up to her Tepig and throws it into the air, "We won! We won Daniel!" The Tepig oinks in happiness, sharing his winning moment with his trainer in absolute joy. Cheren had healed his Snivy while the two were celebrating and returned him to his pokeball, "you did a good job, sorry we didn't win." He whispered to the now resting Snivy in the pokeball before going towards Hilda and spraying another potion and ether at the Tepig.
"Wooow! You guys were awesome! And all our Pokemons as well! Everyone really did their best!" Bianca exclaimed as she walks towards the two trainers with Touya slightly behind. "Yeah, you two and your Pokemon were really cool!" Touya added, complimenting the two. Hilda and Cheren smiled at the compliment, with Cheren throwing back, "Well you two weren't half bad yourself."
The four trainers smiled and laughs at one another, "We should probably meet up with the Professor now, she's probably been waiting for quiet awhile," Cheren spoke up and all of the others agreed with him, walking alongside each other with their pokemon on their back or being hold, back to town and towards Route 1.
