President Donovan discussed the situation with Santos.

.

Donovan: Do you think it's true, could senator Allen really be a traitor?

Santos: I wouldn't have thought so, but here we are. Someone on the inside gave intel to the terrorists. Maybe it wasn't just about greed, maybe they thought someone at the top would protect them later on.

Donovan: Yeah. Still, this charity did a pretty good job as a front, most of the poeple who donated probably thought they really were buying food and medicine for refugee children.

Santos: It's possible. At any rate we should look for evidence, perhaps set up a sting operation.

Donovan: I remember, when I was in the marines, there was someone who we thought was giving intel to the taliban. I was asked to participate in a sting operation. He was my friend, we were closer than brothers, I didn't want to believe it was true, bit I agreed to help. I pretended to be a representative of this warlord, said we needed to help him escape. This marine turned his gun on me and placed me under arrest, I had after all just admitted to betraying my country. The investigation eventually cleared him on any wrongdoing, but our friendship was never the same. Still, his reputation was cleared and justice was accomplished. Set up the sting operation.

Nina Myers continues to work silently at her desk at CTU. She knows that much of CTU didn't like or trust her. After the deaths of Curtis Manning, Mike Doyle, and many other good agents, the survivors wer angry at her, ready to take their frustrations out on her. Nina admitted she had been somewhat selfish in demanding a pardon before she cooperated. Still, she wanted to help now, wanted to stop these terrorists from hurting any more innocent people. Then Nina discovered something. Stasevich, a former soviet nuclear scientist, had been spotted in D.C. He was in a van, and this was only a few minutes ago. She went to tell Chapelle.

.

Nina: Local traffic cameras found Stasevich, a former nuclear scientist with ties to rogue nations.

Chapelle: That image is too fuzzy, you're grasping at straws.

Nina: We know that Sabzi's terrorists stole two z-ray machines, and Stasevich could help Sabzi build a nuclear dirty bomb from that radiation.

Chapelle: We'll look into it. Now get back to work.

.

Nina went to the ladies' room. She knew she was taking a chance, that Chapelle was likely monitoring her, but she didn't trust Chapelle to really follow through with this. And Nina decided she couldn't live with herself if she took the chance and thousands of civilians died as a result. She had to warn Jack Bauer. She called his team.

.

Nina: We found Stasevich, but Chapelle refuses to move. I'm sending you his last known coordinates. Good luck.

.

As Nina sends Jack these coordinates the guards burst through the door and placed Nina under arrest. Chapelle siezes Nina's phone and orders Carrie Turner to trace Jack's location. He can't help but gloat.

.

Chapelle: Your only ally here is under arrest Jack. We will find you and send you to the electric chair.

Jack: Maybe, but we will stop you and your conspiracy. And if you hurt Nina, I will kill you myself. No matter what it takes, I will kill you. Don't think I won't find a way.
