Sabzi and his neo-nazi allies begin torturing Hekmetyar. Hekmetyar knows that his old friend is irrational, vengeful. That's why he wants to see him suffer, rather than simply killing him. But it is clear that Sabzi does not intend for either of them to leave this basement alive.

Jack Bauer and his group take control of the nuclear dirty bomb.

Audrey: I'll deliver this to division, and surrender myself.
Chloe: Are you sure I shouldn't be the one to turn it in?
Audrey: We still need to find Hekmetyar, or there will be no peace in Afghanistan. Jack and Tony are better fighters, and they need your skills with the laptop.
Jack: So, this is goodbye for you and me.
Audrey: In this life anyway.

Jack and Audrey shared what was likely their last kiss ever. As she left for CTU, Tony was calling George Mason.

Mason: So you claim that president Donovan authorized all of you to stop this dirty bomb, rather than his own agencies?
Tony: Not with Chapelle bringing in his own cronies.
Mason: I don't like Chapelle, but I don't assume he's a traitor.
Tony: We still need your help in finding Hekmetyar.
Mason: What do you need?
Tony: You're still in the game, you might know better than anyone where Sabzi might be holed up.
Mason: Okay, I might have some contacts from my days in the police department. I'll see what I can find.

At Camp David president Donovan discusses the situation regarding senator Allen with Santos.

Santos: We're monitoring calls from senator Allen, as well as Ryan Chapelle. We do know that Chapelle has gone to the bunker below CTU, but given the dirty bomb that's not too suspicious.
Donovan: If they know that their plan to assasinate me failed, they might not be too eager to talk about it over the phone.
Santos: They're working on it, trying to provoke them into making a mistake.
Donovan: Here's hoping it works. But if we can't find Hekmetyar, it might all be for nothing.
