A Tale of a Nine Tail Chapter 7
Aria was on edge as she shot off from the roof to find her sister. She dropped her sketch book which landed on the grassy yard. As her feet touched the grass, fire danced around her in anger which caused the once green grass to burn underneath her feet, and leaving behind her shoes to run into the forest following her sister's scent. As she entered the forest, she picked up Antonio's scent which mixed with her sister's scent as well. Her stomach turned as she can smell the fear in the air. The fire whipped up around her body in reaction to her sudden flare of raging emotions. The fire whips at the trees causing some of the leaves to burn as she passes by. It leaves a warning that if you try to stop me I will hurt you. She was pissed. No! She was beyond the point of pissed knowing this boy had taken the most treasured person she held dear to her heart. One of the only people who still cares for her. She was gonna make him suffer for kidnapping her sister. She snarled causing her eyes to go red and her fangs to grow as she got onto all fours and shot deeper into the forest.
Back inside the house...
Ken and Sora were inside the kitchen discussing on what to do now that the town was on its final strings with their little fox. They knew they had to get both of their girls off the island since they wouldn't leave without the other but how. Sora paused mid sentence when her nose caught the scent of burning foliage. She looked out into the back yard and found the grass singed in the shape of foot prints that lead into the forest.
"Oh no." She muttered and she quickly goes around her husband. She opened the sliding glass door and the scent of fire hit her like a brick wall. "Shit! She's gone over." She muttered in slight fear. Her daughter only gone crazy ONCE like this before. She can remember the way her broken arm hang limped at her side and how her husband held their unconscious daughter covered in burns.
She jogged out to the edge of their yard and picked up two more scents. One was undoubtedly her youngest daughter's scent and the other... was that boy Antonio's scent. He must be the reason both of her daughters are gone. And he's the reason her little fox snapped during the pageant. She was gonna tear that boy apart! No one invades her territory and kidnaps her cub.
"Ken, we have a situation!" She yelled out to her husband still in the house.
She ran back into the house through the back door and into the living room.
"That Antonio boy took Ray! I think he's using her as bait to get Aria away from our protection!" She explained to her husband and the Strawhats since they were in the same room.
"Wait, that guy took Ray?" Usopp asked with wide eyes as he pushed his chair back to stand. Hearing Ray was taken churn something inside him and for once he was not scared but annoyed or even angry.
"That is not super. I mean come on! Why take it out on her when she didn't do anything wrong but enter a pageant?" Frankie asked as he wonder how much more twisted this island can get.
"This island is just traumatized from what happened 12 years ago and they hold grudges to no end." Sora muttered that last part and pinching the bridge of her nose in irritation. This town has crossed the line now. They pissed her off and now she's gonna go all mama bear on that boy. And unless this town gets rid of its grudge against her little fox, there was no stopping her... and no stopping her husband either.
"Listen I don't want you guys getting involved with this. Just... please stay here ok. We rather avoid people getting involved with our situation. You all understand right?" Sora asked them.
"Yes ma'am we understand. We will try to avoid trouble as much as we can." Nami confirms with the Mitsu mother. Thank god someone finally asked them not to help. They always tend to cause more trouble wherever they go.
Luffy on the other hand was pissed. His hat covered his eyes and the emotions inside him were raging. He wanted to help them but he couldn't if the parents didn't want them to get involved and he respects that.
"Just stay here. If we need your help we'll ask ok? For now stay here." Ken enforced and his arms turn granite and headed out the back door with Sora.
"So honey how you want to go about this?" Ken asked his wife as they start jogging into the forest and followed his wife.
"Finding Ray and Aria and get them off this godforsaken island once and for all." Sora growls as her hands begin turning into paws and her ears are turning to cute little round ears. She slowly begins traveling on all fours as blonde brown fuzzy thick hair begins covering her body. Her face grows out a snout and nose and fur covers her face as well. Ken hopped onto her back and let's her take them to their daughters.
On the outskirts of town...
Antonio was heaving and dragging a knocked out Ray-Ray out of the forest with sea stone cuffs on. He had this crazed look in his eyes that has shown he has lost his sanity. As Aria jumped out of the forest and spotted the two, tingles crawl up her back as she looks into the most craziest eyes she has ever seen. Not just that but those crazy eyes are Antonio who dragging Ray-Ray out of the forest.
"Antonio what the hell is this?!" His sister Rose shouted in surprise.
Their father and mother as well as the mayor of the town were shocked to what Antonio was dragging behind him.
"Bait. It's the perfect bait to finally end that stupid demon. Once she's gone and slain by my hands I'll be a hero to the island!" He let out a crazed laugh before his sister slapped him across the face.
"You dummy! We like Ray-Ray!" Rose seethed at him.
The mayor a 5ft 11inch man with slicked back brown hair that was peppered with silver hair as his age was showing through some of the wrinkles on his face and around his dull brown eyes. His skin was a dark tan having spent most of his life in the sun and running around the island to help his people any way he can. He had on a palm tree and seagull decorated shirt, khaki shorts, and flip flops in celebration of the festival.
The man was pissed that this boy had angered young Aria. He never viewed her as a demon and supported the Mitsu family and kept the town at bay from killing Aria. It has been a hard few years but he has been able to turn a few people opinion to the better to help make Aria's life a little easier.
"And your plan won't work! You don't have any devil fruit abilities or any kind of combat skills to defend yourself from HER, besides your stupid knife! And you've gotten her mother and father pissed off as well. I may be the mayor but you've doomed this whole island now!" The mayor listed off and reminded him of what he didn't have. He was fucked! Plus this boy caused most of the complaints from the Mitsu family whenever she comes home bleeding.
"Your too nice to that demon you old coot! She's the reason we live in fear of her powers twelve years ago!" He proclaimed and some of the town agreed with the deranged boy.
"No. The reason we live in fear is because this town put the blame on a little girl who just gained her devil fruit abilities the same day we were nearly captured or killed by pirates!" He states to remind the town that it was Gold Digger Mason that pillaged the island twelve years ago.
Some of the citizens looked down in shame having been one of the tormenter and hurt little Aria through the years. Now thanks to Antonio kidnapping Ray-Ray, Aria may have finally snapped! Like a rock hitting the undisturbed water causing ripples of destruction.
An angry roar was heard from the trees warning people what to come to those who has mess with her family. The mayor knew all too well who that was. He turned to his citizens with slight fear in his stern and cold eyes. "Everyone get out of here! Sora has snapped and coming towards our town!" And like a flock of birds everyone scrambled to get inside a shop or their homes.
Some even hide in the trash cans and others under tablecloth tables; a few even managed to get on the roofs. Sora was one woman and mother you don't want to cross. She still has a bounty from her early years of pirating with her crew. And Ken, he's just as dangerous as his wife. He's just much more calm and collected. He's never really been pissed off as bad as his wife throughout his entire life living on Jewel Island. But that was about to change now...
A brown grizzly bear with Ken on its back came busting through the trees and roaring at Antonio, his sister, and the mayor. Ken slipped off the grizzly bear's back and pat her shoulder letting his wife know to wait. "Antonio boy, you've really pissed this family off more than we can count. And now you go off and kidnap Ray-Ray? All because you think you can get rid of my little fox? Well you know what happens when you poke the bear?" The father asked him gesturing to his growling wife.
Antonio was slightly afraid of the mother but stood his ground. He heard tales that she was a very formidable pirate back in her early teens. Some tales say she may even be from the New World. The other half of the Grandline. It is said to be so dangerous that only the strongest can survive there.
"Well old man! Maybe it's finally time to put that stupid kit down into the ground. After all she's nothing but a freak!" Antonio let out a crazed laugh before something burst out of the tree tops of the forest.
Leaving behind trail of fallen and slightly burning leaves in its wake. The figure lands back onto the stage of the pageant and there was Aria in her hybrid form. Three tails out and flickering dangerously behind her. She was hunched over in a crouch with her elongated nails digging into the wood, her canines have elongated enough to be prominent in her snarling, the lips were a much darker shade and almost black with a red hue to them. Three whisker marks were showing on each cheek and her eyes... one look into them and you know you'll either die or barely survive with the amount of killing intent spotted in her red slitted eyes. Her hair gained white streaks in it due to the amount of tails she had out showing off her immense power yet she still doesn't have them all out. If she truly did have all her tails out this island would become ash as Aria would lose her mind to the immense power of her devil fruit.
"Ah, right on time demon." Antonio taunted fully turning to face Aria. "You know for years everyone has shunned you, taunted you, and even physically hurt you to keep you in your place including myself. And you know what demon? I don't even regret it! I don't regret scaring you! I don't regret even tormenting you! You not fighting back just goes to show that you ARE so weak to not fight back!" He proclaimed and Aria snarled.
She shot forward causing the wood underneath her feet to splinter into pieces. She brings her arms back and swipes her claws along his jaw. The power alone sent Antonio flying through the air and crashing into a bunch of tables and chairs that surrounded the pageant stage. Once the dust settled Antonio struggled a bit to stand on his own two feet. Blood soaked his exposed raw jaw muscles as the fresh wound will leave a scar, forever reminding him that he messed with the wrong person if he lived through this experience.
"You think we were weak for not fighting back?" She asked him with a surprising dual toned voice coming from Aria.
The dual tone voice surprises everyone surrounding the town square as it sounded nothing like her. "We didn't fight back for a reason. We had the fear of our home finding any reason to kick us off the island. Or for the fact that we could have been turned into the marines!" She states and a fourth tail was beginning to form.
Citizens hiding nearby were shaking in fear and in guilt for the torment and mental abuse they've been giving Aria for the last twelve years and now it's coming back to bite them in the ass.
"This town has been nothing but hell to us. And now, we think it's time to finally fight back." The fourth tail solidified and more white appears in Aria's hair and red tips were showing up on the tips of her hair.
"You took something precious from my host," the dual voices became one mysterious and mature female voice. "and now, as guardian of this island it is my duty to protect this island and my host." She looked up and stared at the shaking young man that had treated her host the worst kind of treatment in the last twelve years. Anger reignited in her eyes and in her heart was the pain of all the memories of torment and abuse she's received over the years. She wasn't gonna let them walk all over her again! "Starting with you, Antonio Garcia you are no longer welcome on MY ISLAND!"
The voice turned into a monstrous tone and fire began licking at her feet as she shot off once again destroying the cobblestone beneath her feet, charging for Antonio. Before the island protector in Aria's body can do any more damage, a granite rock fist punches her in the stomach causing her rocketing into an abandoned stall. Ken stood their with a calm and calculated look after knocking his daughter away from the ungrateful boy that caused his daughter's rampage and the island guardian's anger to rise up and surface. He could let his daughter kill him but he doesn't wish for his daughter to live with such grief for the rest of her life. He quickly grabbed Antonio shirt and throws him to the mayor, "Alan get this stupid boy out of here and clear out the town. The guardian is upset and she won't stop until she succeeds in her goal or is beaten in a fight." He told him and threw up both granite covered arms and blocked another strike from his daughter.
Her claws dig deep into the granite around his arms which caused a scratch but that's what he needed. Now that she was close enough he pivots and has her arms locked into his before his wife came running and pinned down their daughter.
"Aria snap out of this!" Her Mother pleads as Aria continued to struggle under her mother's grasp.
The fox ruby shines from around her left wrist and ignites a blast of fire out from her body. The explosion of the fire sent her parents back quite a ways from her.
"No one is gonna stop me. Not you or anyone else!" She screams and went after the mayor and the Garcia siblings. They narrowly dodged Aria's attack and she continued going after the mayor and Antonio hoping to finally rid them from her island. And with Ken and Sora chasing after their eldest to stop her from truly becoming the demon the town feared.
Back at the Mitzu household...
Luffy was whining and sprawled on the floor bored. And nothing was worse then a whining and bored Luffy amongst the straw hats.
"I'm boooooored!" He whined and Nami groaned in irritation.
"Then be bored quietly!" She said irritatedly sitting on the couch somewhat enjoying the fact that they didn't have to involve themselves in another mess that didn't necessarily need their help.
"We're all super bored Nami. Can't blame us." Frankie shrugged and pulled out a cola bottle from the fridge. Hoping the family wouldn't mind a missing bottle of cola.
"I think the only one that doesn't seem bored is Robin." Chopper added as the said women was reading a book on the island's mythology.
"I'm going for a walk." Zoro said lifting himself from the fireplace and heads out to the backyard. "Don't get lost you stupid swordsman." Sanji stated and couldn't help but take a jab ate the swordsman.
"Please I'll take getting away from you as long as I can ero-cook!" He seethed and headed into the forest. He just couldn't be in that house too long otherwise he'll get stir crazy and fight with that rep-cook. As he continued his walk he didn't exactly realize that his stupid cursed luck of getting lost every-time he takes a step. He eventually found himself at the edge of town by noticing the small crowds of tourists walking around some of the stands.
"Great I'm back in town..." he muttered as he just let his stupid curse of direction lead him to wherever.
But, something stirs the town, tourists and towns folk were rushing past him in complete worry and fear. Some were even pulling, no more like yanking their children with them. When he finally had the chance to move forward his cursed sense of direction didn't strike this time as he approach town square and his eyes widen at the sight before him. Aria was surrounded by fire and her four tails were swaying behind her, her eyes were blood red with a black slitted iris's, her nails had elongated and whiskers were apparent on her cheeks. He even noticed some white streaks in her hair with red tips at the ends. He could clearly see the killing intent in those fierce eyes as she continued going after the mayor and that boy that kept tormenting her. He felt the need to step in and help.
He shot forward and pulled out Wado from its sheath and blocked a strike of her nails that was intended for the Antonio boy. "Third match is the charm Fox." He gritted and pushed her back with Wado. She back flipped and landed in a crouch.
"Don't get in the way swordsman. This boy has tormented my host for years! He either earns a colorful death or gets thrown into the sea!" The Island Guardian states snarling. "And your willing to let your host deal with the grief and guilt of her killing someone?" The guardian faltered for a moment as the swordsman continued his speech. "You want your host free from the torment? You won't achieve that if you kill someone in revenge with her body!"
"You know nothing of what she has gone through!" She snarled and leapt into the air. "Kit Kit Red Inferno!" She tucked herself into a ball and started spinning rapidly with the fire engulfing her body and turning into a fireball and shot herself at Zoro. Zoro pulled out his other two swords and stands his ground crossing his swords and grunting as the full force of the attack hits. Zoro is pushed back slightly from the force but he holds himself rooted to his spot. "Your not getting past me!" He states a little muffled holding Wado in his mouth.
Behind him the Mayor Alan pulls Antonio with him and away from town square and towards the east side docks. With Antonio's sister following she was still pissed with her brother! "You fucking idiot! You've doomed everyone on the island! Now you have the guardian's anger thrusted upon us! What were you thinking?!" She seethed at her slightly dazed brother.
"Ridding us of a burden. A burden that had lived too long on the island!" He stated. "The hunters will finish her off. They'll get rid of her once and for all!" He revealed to the Mayor and his sister. Both paled when Antonio mentioned the Hunters.
They were a group of people on the island that just despised Aria no matter how much the mayor tried to sway them from their killing intentions. They've proclaimed their intentions of killing Aria but they never pulled through on their threat throughout the years. And now tonight seemed to be their best opportunity to take her out.
"Rose go find my daughter and find Ray-Ray. Both her and Aria must leave the island before the marines are called in." The mayor orders the sister and she nods. "That's one thing I can agree with you mayor. They both need to leave." She then headed off back towards the mayor's office.
Outside of town near Mt. Jewel, a quite large settlement was preparing itself. It was preparing for a battle. A battle that would finally rid the island its troublesome demon. A lone man stood at the edge of the settlement listening and waiting for his scout to return with the news of Antonio initiating the plan into action. He was giving the task to entice that demon away from the safety of her home and parents and into the town where they can come and be the saviors and slay the demon fox. He had sent another scout to see what was taking the boy so long to return.
A crunch of dirt beneath feet were heard and the man glanced behind him to find his wife walking up to his side. "Don't get too anxious Doran. I'm sure the boy is on his way over here with the scout." Her voice was that of silk and venom hidden underneath those words.
The man now named Doran looked back at his second in command in question, she was tall about 5' 9", black and green colored long hair that reached down to her lower back and was placed in a messy bun, fair tan skin, leather green pants and scale patterned heels, a black low cut tank top and a black light weight jacket. Her eyes showed clear signs of reptilian genes with a golden eye with a black slitted iris in the middle.
"I doubt it Mania. I don't think it was a wise choice to place that boy as the instigator of the plans. He's not stable and he doesn't keep that stupid mouth shut." He gritted out
"Which is why we sent the scout my dear. To retrieve the sister and keep the demon from sniffing out the real plan." She gently reminded him smirking. "It's moments like this where you need to be reminded of my intellect-"
"Woman just shut up." He ordered her not wanting to hear more of her silver tongue. The bushes and leaves of the jungle rustled in the distance, near the camp and both the adults turned their attention to the foliage and out came a young man carrying the unconscious Ray-Ray in his arms. He has short blonde hair, blue eyes, no shirt on and showing off his well toned upper body and wearing just well worn jeans and working boots. "Sir the town is a mad house. And with the demon and guardian both pissed off we don't have much of a window to end this." He reported and Doran nods in agreement.
"Then let's speed things up shall we? Initiate the plan into action and get everyone into position now." He ordered and the young man nods and carried Ray into the camp while Doran turned to face Mania but gone she was and already on her way to start up their plan. "Tonight, this island will be rid of the demon and we can all have peace once more." He said solemnly looking up at the moon high in up in the sky.
