Chapelle knew that he had likely been discovered, he knew he had to flee immediately. He made an excuse to leave and began walking towards his car in the parking garage.

Paramedics are examing Hekmetyar. He's clearly hurt, but it seems he'll be fine. Hekmetyar asks to see Jack Bauer.

Hekmetyar: Thank you for saving my life.

Jack: Just doing my job.

Hekmetyar: I believe our paths have crossed before.

Jack: Yeah. During the war, I was involved in a few extraordinary renditions of associates of yours. And you, put bounties on the heads of american soldiers. Got friends of mine killed.

Hekmetyar: Wasn't it your president Grant who said "War is hell?"

Jack: It was general Sherman, but I understand your point. And now it seems I saved you, from your former friend.

Hekmetyar: Sabzi was like a brother to me. It is sad that we became enemies at the end.

Jack: I know what you mean. Tony Almeida was like a brother to me. But after what I did, how I got his wife killed, he will never forgive me. I can't blame him.

Hekmetyar: I know peace will not be easy, it will be our generation who will have the hardest time of it. But maybe, we can prevent others from getting caught up in this conflict not of their own making.

Jack: Well, we can hope can't we?

President Donovan is told of the current development.

Santos: The doctors say Hekmetyar will survive. Secret Service is bringing him back here for security.

Donovan: Excellant. Assuming ofcourse that the terrorists don't have many more assasins waiting.

Santos: We can't rule out the possibility of other assasins in Afghanistan, but Sabzi is dead and it seems most of his allies in America are dead or in custody.

Donovan: Except for Chapelle and senator Allen.

Santos: Division is about to arrest Chapelle now. He can then implicate Allen.

Chapelle makes it to his car, when suddenly six security guards surround him. He knows he's been defeated. All he can do is negotiate for immunity and his life.
