Chapelle soon found himself in an interrogation room. Being questioned by, of all people, George Mason. It seemed that Mason was once again in charge of CTU Washington.
.
Mason: You know, Ryan, I never liked you, but I never would have thought you were a traitor.
Chapelle: Spare me your morality.
Mason: Why would you betray your country?
Chapelle: Money, ambition, patriotism, take your pick.
Mason: Hope that thought comforts you on your way to the electric chair.
Chapelle: We both know I didn't act alone. You want me to name who else was involved, I want full immunity from prosecution and my full pension. And I suggest you decide quickly.
Mason: Why?
Chapelle: Because the terrorists had one last move. Obviously I can't call them off, but I can tell you their target. Still, if I don't start talking quickly, you'll never stop them in time.

Senator Allen meets with Mandy, who is suppossed to help her flee the country.
.
Allen: Thank you for your help.
Mandy: All the arrangements are set. The private plane will take you anywhere you want to go.
Allen: Good, my allies and sympathizers in Europe can keep me hidden. Still, it's embarrasing to have to go into hiding like this.
Mandy: I assume it's less embarrassing to go to prison.
Allen: Fair enough.
.
At CTU George Mason calls a meeting with Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida, Audrey Raines, Chloe Obrien and Nina Myers.
.
Mason: Chapelle has told us that there's one more attack coming. He won't say anything until he gets full immunity. I'm going to be blunt, we're short-staffed, and I don't even know who I can trust around here. Nina, when this is over, you'll be a free woman. You've already done your part, you want to leave now I'll understand. The rest of you, you'll probably be going to prison for life. But I'm asking you all, to help us out, just a little bit longer.
Jack: I'm in.
.
Not one person asked to be relieved. Whatever happenned whe the sun came up, they were all willing to do one last good thing with their lives.
