Milo Pressman and Jamey Farrell arrive back at CTU. Both had been relieved recently, Jamey was even accused of treason. But Mason trusted them more than Chapelle's cronies right now. And after the death of many CTU agents earlier, they needed all the help they can get. Milo and Jamey each begin helping Chloe search for senator Allen.

A plane is flying towards Virginia. The pilot fears they might be noticed by the FTA. Still, it's unlikely that president Donovan would even have time to authorize his air force to shoot them down. At any rate, the pilot would rather not take chances, he just wants to complete his mission before they die.

Jack Bauer comes to see Ryan Chapelle.

Chapelle: What are you doing here?
Jack: I'm going to prison when this is over. I think you deserve to go as well. The way I see it, if I can find out what you know, before your immunity is official, you'll go to prison.
Chapelle: You wouldn't dare kill me, I just have to hold out until security drags you away.
Jack: Then I guess I better act quickly. I stole sodium penathol from the lab.
Chapelle: You what?
Jack: Sodium penathol. It's not quite the truth serum movies make it out to be, but it lowers a person's resistance, makes them less able to lie.
Chapelle: You can't. I put Amanita Phalloides in there. It's a poisonous mushroom.
Jack: So, if I give this to you, it might kill you.
Chapelle: It will kill me.
Jack: I don't believe you. You're just stalling for time. I'll give you the injection and take my chances.
Chapelle: Don't! I'll talk, I'll talk.
Jack: What's the final target?
Chapelle: I don't know exactly. But it's somewhere in Virginia.
Jack: That doesn't narrow it down much.
Chapelle: Senator Allen has more details. She has her own plans for escape, with help from a known mercenary Miranda Stapelton, known as Mandy.

Jack then calls president Donovan to let him know the truth.

Jack: Chapelle says that the next target is in Virginia.
Donovan: Anything more specific?
Jack: He claims that senator Allen know more, and we're searching for her now. Mr president, after the earlier attacks, they wouldn't hit a public place again, not enough people would be out. You should consider increasing security at water dams and power plants. It would be the only way for them to still ensure large casualties.
Donovan: I see your point, I'll increase security at the most likely targets.
