Note: For the conversation between Hekmetyar and Aakrama, assume it's in Pashto and you're reading the english subtitles.

CTU is trying to find who the other terrorists at the plant are. Based on Hekmetyar's tip they are searching for american soldiers who went missing in Afghanistan, particularly those who grew up in the foster system without ever being adopted. That part doesn't narrow it down much. Many of the soldiers had nothing else when they joined, no family, no resources, the military seemed like their best option. Nina remembers that Chapelle was an army clerk once, maybe he fed Sabzi or others names who might be prime targets for recruitment. She is searching those names now when Mason approaches her.

.

Mason: First up, I want to apologize for not believing you years ago.

Nina: Apology accepted George.

Mason: It seems Chapelle might have told them to use you, he feared they were on to him and he needed a scapegoat.

Nina: Are you saying he is the main reason why my daughter is dead?

Mason: Yes, and he's the one who destroyed evdence that could have proven you were coerced.

Nina: I want to kill him.

Mason: I can't allow that, I'm too scared of the consequences. But if the reactors melt down, given how close we are, I'll give you free reign.

Nina: And if I were to murder him on my own?

Mason: We'd have to place you under arrest.

Nina: Which would mean normal prison, maybe the jury would be understanding.

Mason: Just promise you won't murder an innocent guard.

Nina: You have my word.

Hekmetyar is on the phone with his old friend Aakrama. Aakrama got a degree in psychology in America before returning to Afghanistan to help repel the soviet invasion. He'd fought along Hekmetyar and Sabzi for decades, when Hekmetyar started talking about peace Aakrama was torn between his loyalty to both of his friends.

.

Aakrama: Are you okay my friend?

Hekmetyar: I am fine. Sabzi was killed by the americans.

Aakrama: I'm sorry to hear that.

Hekmetyar: Tell me, were you and he still trying to turn american soldiers against their own country.

Aakrama: What if we were?

Hekmetyar: The americans have offered amnesty if you cooperate now.

Aakrama: What about the others, the young footsoldiers for one?

Hekmetyar: I am negotiating with Donovan for amnesty for all. But we both know that will never happen if they succeed in melting down the power plant.

Aakrama: Sabzi never told me the target.

Hekmetyar: I believe you. The time for terror and bloodshed is over, we need to seek a brave new peace.

Aakrama: Very well, I will tell you and the americans everything.
