Mary Mitchell stands over the dead bodies at the reactor. President Donovan and CTU watch in horror as she calls her ally Justin.

Mary: Are you in the reactor?
Justin: No, they must have found the cannister because it's been disabled.
Mary: Our window is fast closing. Just get as close as you can and detonate, or I will.
Justin: Understood.

Justin briefs his two terrorists on their plan, they need to move fast and hard, and really just get as close as they possibly can.

From this call Jack, Tony, and their group prepare for Justin and his team's assault. In the meantime, Chloe has been able to hack into Mary's phone and call her. Henderson and Nadia are both ready to try and talk them down.

Henderson: Mary, this is Henderson. This isn't what we planned.
Mary: Isn't it? You were right, in 2 years there will either be an american flag flying over Mecca, or the crescent moo over the White House. I'd prefer the second one.
Nadia: Mary, my name is Nadia Yassir. I work for the State Department, and I am a muslim.
Mary: No true muslim would ever work for the americans.
Nadia: I know that this country has it's faults, but the Koran says that the killing of one innocent life is the same as killing all of humanity.
Mary: Noone is innocent in this country.

Justin and his team attack Jack's group. But Jack and the others are ready. Justin and the other two are killed immediately. Tony begins searching their dead bodies, but can't yet find any explosive devices.

Mary and Nadia continue their argument, Nadia knows there's no reasoning with this woman, she can only hope to distract Mary long enough for the National Guard to retake the reactor. But then Mary sees the cellphone, and realizes that the americans are watching them. Mary angrily destroys Ella's cellphone, and calls Justin's phone. As Jack hears this phone ringing, he realizes that the bomb is in the phone. Jack takes the phone and runs as far away from the reactor as possible. Mary gets no answer from Justin, she has to assume he's dead. So she activtes the bomb. When Jack hears the phone go off he instinctively throws the phone away and hits the floor. Mary's bomb goes off, but Jack got his phone far enough away. The other reactor shuts down immediately, making a meltdown impossible. Potentially one million lives have just been saved.
