Chapter 4: Friendship

Bella's POV:

I'm happy Charlotte told me to meet her and Peter. If she hadn't it would have been worse. The raw meat was helping but Peter said it would have only held for another week. The baby would need fresh blood soon. Peter is out robbing blood banks now.

"How come you became vegetarian vamps? I know the Cullens and their cousins are and you are close to Jasper but why?" I asked

"Well Jasper and Alice came down about 20 years ago. When they did we decided to try it because this town is really small and there was a dense animal population. We didn't want anyone learning about us and reporting us to the Volturi so we just haven't stopped. Honestly Jasper is closer to us than the Cullens and him and Alice were talking about leaving them before your birthday." She answered

"Wait he wanted to leave them." I asked confused.

"Yeah, him and Alice didn't like feeling like they were only being kept around for their gifts. Jasper is the one holding them together as well. They all love each other but only Alice and Jasper are truly mated."

"Are they really going to leave? Will they be mad that your helping me when I know they're searching for me?"

"They will leave. And if your so worried is it ok if i talk to her? I would only talk to her and maybe you will have them back."

"Yeah you can but check and make sure Edward can not hear."

She walked away to call Alice and I focused on not making any decisions. Peter came back in and handed me a freshly drawn blood bag. I handed it back to him and in a second he was handing it back in a Styrofoam cup. I chugged it down pretending it was cranberry juice. When I finished Charlotte handed me my breakfast.

When I finished eating she informed me that Alice was coming next week with Jasper. Then we went to go find the hybrid in town. After looking in all the hot spots in town I decided that we should just look for him tomorrow.

Alice POV:

I had a short vision this morning of Bella telling me to be alone so I told the family me and Jasper were going shopping in Seattle. When we got to the mall I asked Jasper to leave me alone for 20 minutes. Right after he left I received a call. As I looked at the caller id I gasped knowing it was Charlotte and Peter. (A/N: bold Charlotte, regular Alice)

"Hey Alice, are you alone?"

"Yeah. So Bella is with you two?"

"Yeah she has been here for six days. Do you still want to leave the Cullens. If so me and Peter would love to have you."

"You know we do but what would be our explanation for leaving right now. We were all looking for her..." I trailed off "Can I talk to her please. Or at least can you tell her i never believed Edward or wanted to leave."

"Well I'll tell her. She still would have ran if you didn't leave. There's a lot going on but i can't say a lot. I know the more I say the harder it will be to hide it from Edward. We can't wait to see you both, Bye"

"Bye see you soon"

When I hang up Jasper is beside me. I had been on the phone for 30 minutes. He heard her ask for us to go up and hiding it from Edward. I start to actually shop as I explain what she told me. I notice that I'm seriously jumping in place whenever we stop happy that Bella is safe.

When I finish shopping I call Carlisle and ask to talk to him alone. As he is the head of the family, I decided to tell him me and Jasper are leaving in a week. We are taking a week to pack and say goodbye. When we get home Carlisle is waiting for me in his soundproof study. That is the only room that is foolproof so no one can hear us.

I tell him me and Jasper aren't comfortable here anymore and we are leaving once we pack. I also write down about my last vision I had of Bella. Maybe two days after she got to them i saw he collapsing and being covered in bruises. I also noticed how sick she was. He asks me where and I told him Peter's.

If Edward was listening to our thoughts he would think we were talking about where we were headed when in reality it's about Bella. I don't bother to say bye to anyone else but Emmett. Emmett whispered in my ear he was coming with before walking away. No one else knows our coven isn't truly mated together except for us.

Edward POV:

I knew something was up when alice went shopping this morning. I think she knows more than she was letting on. When she got home she went straight into Carlisle's study where I couldn't hear. I learned she was leaving with Jasper next week and going to Peters. I left after that thinking that was why it felt strange. I decided to hunt while I was out. I pounced on a mountain lion and was full before even an hour was up

I decided to stay out longer and go to the library. It would have been Bella's favorite place here not that I cared. As time progressed my bond to bella was weakening. I still have to find her and get her to believe me. To trust me. That will be the hardest part because how will she trust me when I can't give her a reason to. When I don't trust myself. She is my singer and I think she is my mate but the longer we are apart the more I question if that true.

When I get back home i hear Carlisle arguing with Esme. Carlisle is telling her we never should have left. When he stops talking she tells him that she doesn't care.

"That bitch didn't appreciate anything we did. We risked ourselves for her. Now she goes and runs off and we have to clean this up? Nope I don't think so. If your on her side then you can leave with them. You know we haven't been close for years and this is the last straw. We can't pretend anymore so we are done. I was kind to her, I invited her into our home, I cared but not enough to risk my life because you asked me too." Esme screamed.

"Ok so we are done but don't come running to me with your problems." Carlise said

I start fuming. I brought Alice here to stop this. Jasper was supposed to hold us together and keep us from going separate ways. Alice was supposed to warn me if this was coming up so I could prevent it. I am not losing everything. I will demand them to stay if anyone else tries to leave. I will use my secondary gift of mind control before I let them all get away.

Rosalie POV:

I heard Alice tell Emmet about leaving. He told her he was going to go with them and he didn't even talk to me. All this because of that fucking bitch who wormed her way into this family. She is the reason we are falling apart. We only even came back to Forks because of Alice's vision that she would be important to us. Emmet chose that moment to join me in our room and I fell apart.

"Go ahead and leave. I never get what I want. I saved your life and I loved you but go please. When you love someone you can't hold them back so I am letting you leave." I cried.

"Thank you. I love you too but we need time apart. I know we aren't mates but I also think that not everyone has a mate. When we first came here and met the shifters we learned about imprints. Not everyone has one and you can be a parent, brother, friend, or partner. I think that I won't have a mate and if I do I think it won't be as a partner." Emmet proclaimed and he pulled me into a bear hug.

"Your right. I will be waiting for you. I didn't want Bella here but I understand she is like your younger sister. You are free to do as you want because I love you enough to know how much this means to you."

"I will promise to come back. I will not leave you here. I love you so much and this only strengthened our bond. Bye my love" He said before walking out the door.

I have to let him leave and trust he will return. Maybe I don't like Bella but I don't hate her. I am only jealous because she has what I will never have a chance for. I trust him and he's right because with time apart it will bring us closer when we see each other again

A/N: only Emmet, Carlisle, Jasper, and Alice are coming to join them. Next chapter we learn what Bella is having. I tried to explain why I made them vegetarian. Also you will see what I'm doing with Edward and Bella. Edward is an asshole. I love their ship but it just doesnt work right now
