Jack Bauer and Audrey Raines leave CTU. Now that they've officially been given amnesty Jack wants to go to the hospital to see Kim. To their suprise they see Tony Almeida in the parking garage, he's just standing there, not sure where to go. Jack goes to talk to him before they leave.

Jack: You okay?
Tony: I'm not sure what I am anymore. I've always had a purpose, serving my country, revenge against you, and serving my country again. I'm grateful for this amnesty, and I really hope that peace comes. I just have no idea what I'm suppossed to do with the rest of my life.
Jack: Niether am I.
Tony: Yeah but, at least you have Audrey, Kim, your grandson.
Jack: And becaus of me you don't have that.
Tony: I didn't mean it like that. I forgive you for what happenned to Michelle, and I'm glad you have them. But there's nobody waiting back home for me.
Jack: So come with me. I'm going to the hospital to see Kim, and you're welcome at my home anytime. The future is uncertain, and if there is to be a brave new peace it will be our generation who will have the hardest time of it. Let's help each other on that.
Tony: Yeah, maybe we can help each other.

Chloe sat on a bench by the Potomac River, with a gun in her hand. She feared that, with peace at hand, there was no reason for her to be here. As much as she hated the war, it had given her life purpose. Chloe had thought about suicide since the death of her child, since being released from prison. There had always been something that prevented her, a feeling that there was more to do. Perhaps it had been for today, one last chance to save lives. Now that it was over, what next? As Chloe contemplated suicide Nina Myers approached her. Chloe tried to hide her gun, but Nina wasn't fooled.

Nina: I can't judge if you want to die. I've thought about suicide since I was arrested as a traitor, since my daughter died.
Chloe: Then why'd you want a pardon?
Nina: Revenge against those who imprisoned me. Chapelle will live the rest of his life in my old cell, in fear that I'll come for him. And I supposse I wanted some form of redemption. Look Chloe, this new world scares me a little too. There aren't a lot of people who will understand what we've been through, maybe we can help each other.
Chloe: It's worth a shot.

Adaeze, having been released from CTU custody, goes to see her friend Kristen, let her know that everything is okay now.

Brian is woken up early this morning, someone is throwing pebbles at his window. Brian wakes up and looks outside. It's his ex-boyfriend Behrooz, they smile at seeing each other.

Courtney Cofell takes her little brother Ted to see their aunt Mila. With their father dead Mila has agreed to let them stay with her for awhile. It seems they are safe now.

At the hospital Gary Miller goes to see his ex-girlfriend Willow.
.
Willow: I heard you got full immunity.
Gary: I uess they felt bad about falsely accusing me of terrorism. Helping Jack Bauer see his daughter didn't seem worth prosecuting.
Willow: You didn't need immunity for anything else?
Gary: You remember, right after we broke up, how someone beheaded a confederate statue, and spray-painted "John Brown lives?"
Willow: That was you?
Gary: At the time it seemed like a good way to win you back, but I lost my nerve and didn't confess.
Willow: I can understand why. Besides, they should be putting those statues near schools, gives children the wrong ideas. But you might have had anger issues.
Gary: I know, and the therapy helps.
Willow: I don't neccessarily want to get back together, but let's keep the option open.

Jamey Farrell arrives home, and begins making breakfast for her son. As she does this Nina and Chloe arrive unexpectedly. These three women have been through similar tragedies, they hope to be able to help each other through this. Jamey says they are welcome in her home anythime.

Jack, Audrey, and Tony arrive at the hospital. Jack recognizes Danielle, Kim's former cellmate and ex-girlfriend, holding little Jack. She brings them to Kim's room, where Jamal is already visiting his wife.

Split screens show president Donovan working out details with doctor Hekmetyar, Courtney and little Ted settling in at aunt Mila's place, Behrooz and Brian re-connecting, Jamey making breakfast while Nina and Chloe wait, Willow and Gary bonding, and Jack's group going into Kim's hospital room.

Jack looks around and savors this scene. The early daylight is creeping into the windows. Danielle hands little Jack to Kim in her bed, Jamal is in a wheelchair visiting his wife and son. Audrey and Tony are also in the room, and it seems they are all friends again. For the first time in a very long time, Jack thinks to himself "I'm home."
