CHAPTER 2 THE WAY DOWN
The spartan was one hour into his adventure with the mountain air filling his lungs he was having the time of his life. He had always loved snowy areas as a boy and always wanted to visit snow planets. But when he was made into a spartan he got his wish fulfilled but not in the way he expected.
He had been going downwards for at least 3 hours until he saw something of interest. On the corner of the cliff he was walking on he saw a rotting wood sign saying the words, "Mad Dog Mine" which made the spartan think of irrelevant Elvis songs . And on his way to the mine he noticed something odd: a rotting corpse on the cliff and as the spartan approached he noticed it was a hideous bipedal rat with a long-rusted knife and turning the body over he saw the long slash across the chest. Someone was here.
He continued his journey to the mine until he saw a beautiful sight long ice river leading to a frozen waterfall with large staircases leading up but that was short lived as the climb swiftly ended with him losing his footing slipping down the stairs sliding across the ice river and off a cliff. That was not stopping him as he had done that before.
When at the base of the mountain he saw a large town surrounded by forest. He had found a place of rest. The walk through the forest was long and boring with the sound of the long wood filling his ears. He was not excited he had been walking all day and was beginning to tire. But over the horizon he saw something of interest something to see.
The town was close very close and reminded the spartan of the small Germanic towns from earth but this one had the largest walls the spartan had ever seen dozens of meters tall the walls were dwarfing most of the walls he had seen, a clear reminder to make his way in.
