"The Starflight Express…" I said
A golden wagon rested right near a small pond in the middle of a clearing. Why is it here? How…? I looked around and the trees and branches seem damaged… Now that I think about it, the Express fell around the same time as me, so it was logical that it fell near here, and that means the other celestials fell nearby too? And the observatory is near to Angel Falls? Gaahh… There are too many questions… Is someone inside? We aren't allow to enter the Express, but, maybe someone is there who can help me… Suddenly I heard something behind me, I turn back and…
"Daaannn!" Clyde jumped at me with tears on his eyes "I found you, I was so scared…!"
"Clyde!" I said and hugged him to calm him down "It's ok, I was looking for you too. You shouldn't have run headfirst into the forest"
"I'm sorry, I was too excited" Clyde said cleaning his tears
"Is ok dude" I said
"Mmm… This is…" Clyde said
The Express, oh no, I haven't thought what I'm going to tell Clyde… What should I…?
"This is a beautiful pond" Clyde said
"What?" I said confused
"We should camp here" Clyde said getting up to inspect the area
"Wha…? Wait" I said
"What's up?" Clyde asked me
"Don't you see it?" I asked back
"See what?" Clyde said and look around the place "There are some broken trees, you think that a monster lives around here?"
What? Why is Clyde not mentioning the very obvious and shining giant wagon in front of him… Maybe he can't see it and I can because I was a celestial, yeah, that makes sense
"Oh, is nothing" I said trying to look calm "But I do think this is a good place to camp"
"Yeah? I knew it" Clyde said
"But first, I need to… ah…" I want to explore the express, but I don't want to worry Clyde "I need to go to the bathroom, I'll go over there" I said pointing to the express
"O-Ok, then I'll go far the other way" Clyde said "Don't take too long"
"Yeah" I said and Clyde start going the other way
I waited till Clyde is far away enough to enter the express, with some fear I grab the handle bar to get up the wagon, because Clyde couldn't see it I thought I might go through the thing as I touch it and luckily it didn't happened
As I get to the door I look back to Clyde to check he isn't looking in this direction, I don't want him to see me floating in the air, I can only hope I disappear as soon as I get in. I slide the door open and go inside, it's dark, but a little light enter from the side windows, I look around only to find nothing, it's been more than two weeks since the incident and this place feels untouched
I keep advancing through the train only to find the same in each wagon, my hope of finding someone is quickly diminishing. I walk through the last door and enter what I think is the engine
"Hello, is someone in here?" I said, but there is no answer
What happened to the people that control the express? Did they leave? Mmm… I walk deeper inside and find what it looks like a control panel at the end of the room. I try to thinker with it but it doesn't seems to work. It looks like this was a waste of time, but I least I found it, if I find a celestial that knows how to make it work, we may be able to return to the observatory
As I was about to go back to Clyde, my body started to shine a familiar shade of green I knew too well, is the same color as Benevolessence. Green mist started to come out of me and entering the machines around, a second later the entire express shook a little and the lights started to flicker, only to go back to what they were before. What was happening? Ok, let's see. First, that was Benevolessence ok, what was it doing in my body? I haven't see any crystal since I became human, but I should had, Benevolessence is gratitude given form, and me and Clyde helped the entire town of Angel Falls, that means as a human I can't see the crystals, but somehow they entered my body…? Mmm…
Also, the express worked for a second, maybe it's out of energy and it needs Benevolessence to function? That's seems to be the case, but it's going to need a lot of Benevolessence, because not even the gratitude of saving an entire town was enough, I wonder how much time is going to take me to get it. Getting the express to work seems to be my best shoot to return to the observatory, I should give it a try
"DAAANN! WHERE ARE YOU?" I heard from outside
Clyde is looking for me, I took to much time, and I don't want to worry him, I should return. I run back the train and finally went back to Clyde who looked a little shaken
"I'm back, I'm sorry I got a lost" I said to Clyde who cheer up upon seeing me
"I'm glad, how far did you go?" Clyde said
"A little far, I didn't want to bother you" I lie
"Is ok, I set up everything already, so you are going to have to get us some fish in compensation" Clyde said
"If that makes you happy, I'll get you all the fish in the pond" I said
"Yeah, you do that" Clyde said playfully
We walked to the other side of the pond where Clyde had already set up the tents, I look back at the express one more time, maybe the path to the observatory is closer that I thought. Well, I can only hope…

The sunlight shine through the branches giving the forest a mystic look
"Do you have everything?" Clyde asked me
"Yep, we are ready to go" I said
"Nice" Clyde said smiling
It was morning already, and we were ready to continue our journey. We didn't have any trouble walking through the forest, there were near to no monsters, I wonder if the express is keeping them away. After exiting the forest there was a huge plain in front of us, with grass and flowers as far as we could see
"This is beautiful" Clyde said
"Yeah" I said, Clyde pull out the map "How long till Stornway?"
"Not far, we should get there before midday" He said
"Then let's keep going"
After a few hours of walking and fighting some slimes, mushrooms and giant butterflies, we saw in the distance a great wall of stone, behind it we could see rooftops and flags, we rush to finally found ourselves in front of the gates of Stornway
"We are finally here!" Clyde said "I'm tired"
"Yeah, me too" I said "Let's get in"
We enter the city, I was amazed of how big it is, it's at least three times bigger than Angel Leap, there is a lot of people and buildings, it was incredible
"Hey" Clyde said "What's going on there?"
Clyde pointed to a multitude of people gathering around a big wooden board, we got close to see a big sign with big words I didn't understand
"What does it say Clyde?" I asked
"Oohh… Is a bounty"
"A bounty? Like to hunt someone?"
"Yeah, is says 'In seek of adventurers to take care of a monstrous evil knight, who has terrorized the kingdom', is a request from the king himself and, OH GOD! He is giving a huge reward for it, I've never seen so many zeros" Clyde said
If it has terrorized the kingdom, that means if we take him down, the entire Stornway would be grateful and I'll get a lot of Benevolence
"Should we try?" I asked Clyde
"Sure, with that reward we'll be set for months" Clyde said
"Yeah" I said
"Hello gentlemen" We heard a new voice talking to us, we turn around to see a girl with red hair and a beautiful dress walking to us "I never saw you before, are you new in town"
"Ah, yes, we arrive today" Clyde said
"I knew it" She said "Are you adventurers? And are you interested in the dark knight? If you like I can give you some information"
"Really?" Clyde said excited
"At what cost?" I said wary
"Not much" She laughed "Just, if you don't have anywhere to stay, come to my inn. My name is Red, and I am the owner"
After introducing herself she pointed to a big building behind her. The place was big and looked fancy, I don't know if we'll be able to afford it
"Sure, it's a deal" Clyde said out of nowhere
"Clyde, I don't know if we have enough money to stay there" I said
"Don't worry, is not expensive at all" Red said "Let's go in"
We follow her inside the inn. The place looks cozy, the main area is big and had a lot of tables for people to relax and also had a restaurant
"Welcome to the best inn in Stornway" She said
"The best?" I said sarcastically
"I have awards to prove it" She said pointing to a showcase with trophies
"Wow…" Clyde said amazed
"So, what do you know about the dark knight?" I asked
"It depends, are you staying here?" She asked
"Well, at least we are eating here" I said
"Yeah" Clyde said
"That's good enough for me" She said "Mmm… ok, the dark night appeared in town a little bit after the big earthquake a couple of weeks back"
"See, I told you it was felt all over the world" Clyde said to me
"We are not that far away" I said
"But it really felt that the whole world was shaking" Red said "Not even a week later, the dark night bust through the city gates and demanded to see the princess"
"The princess?!" Clyde said excited
"Well… yeah…" Red said uncomfortably "Anyway, the king quickly dispatch the royal guards to stop him and after a long battle the dark knight declared he was going to keep coming unless the princess accepts to meet with him"
"What does the dark knight want with the princess?" Clyde asked
"Who knows" Red said "The dark knight is strong, the king send his strongest soldiers to hunt him and failed, and then he put the bounty on him, but no adventurer has been able to stop him until now"
If he is that strong, I doubt two novice adventurers could do something about it, but… getting that benevolence it too good to pass
"So, the dark knight has killed all who tried to fight him" I said
"Nop, the dark knight hasn't killed anyone, they all return in bad shape, but nothing a few days of rest can't cure" Red said
"We should try it" Clyde said
"I guess we could try" I said and Clyde smiled
"Haha, I like you guys" Red said "You can stay the night for free"
"What? Really?" Clyde said
"You are weird" I said "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, no problem" She said "With all this dark knight stuff, I been having a lot of customers. I can afford to give some nights for free to people I like"
"Thanks" I said
"If you want to sign for the hunt, you need to go to the castle" Red said "Also, is only the two of you?"
"Yeah, just me and Dan" Clyde said
"I would recommend you to get more people, at least one or two more" Red said
"You think we are not enough?" I asked
"I have seen the dark knight wipe much bigger groups" Red said
"I see… We'll keep it in mind, thanks" I said
"You are welcome boys" She said and gave me a key with numbers on it "This is the key to your room, third floor. Also, the restaurant is close now, but should be open in an hour"
"Alright, thanks" Clyde said and Red leave to work, probably to get more costumers "What now?"
"Mmm… Let's leave our luggage in the room and then let's go talk with the king" I said
"Sure" Clyde said
The room Red give us looked very comfy and is probably bigger than Clyde's house, after leaving our belongings there we leave directly to the castle to take the job. We were greeted by some guards at the entrance and they escort us to the king, but it seems to be in a pretty heated discussion between a guy in a throne and a girl in a fancy dress, they must be the king and the princess
"Father please, just let me go to him, I´m sure we can talk things out" The princess
"No, no, NO, you won't get anywhere near it. That monster is going to bring ruin to my kingdom, he needs to be delt with" The king said
"But he hasn't done anything bad, he hasn't destroyed anything or killed anyone, he…" The princess tried to said
"Shut up right now! One more word and you are grounded" The king said and the princess bit his lip with regret "Now step aside, we have visitors"
The king and princess finally address us after waiting awkwardly for them to finish. The king looked stern and mean, the mayor of Angel Falls was also stern, but you could see he cared for his people, this guy didn't feel like that
"So, you two want to deal with our dark knight problem?" The king said
"Yes sir" Clyde said nervously
"I really don't care who does it, I just want that knight dead and out of our lives" The king said "I don't know what he is planning, but he is always at the lake north of town at sunset"
Clyde got his map out and mark the spot "Is not far from here, about half an hour walking" Clyde said
"You can leave now" The king said, signaling us to go away "And don't fail me"
"All right…" I said "We'll do our best"
"Thanks" Clyde said and we leave the throne room
As we were about to leave the castle we heard someone running at us, we turn around to see the princess, catching back her breath
"Ah sorry" She said "I was wondering if I can have a word with you before you leave"
"With you being the princess, we can't refuse" Clyde joked
"Sorry about that, but is really important" She said and turn around "Follow me"
It felt like we walked through the entire castle following the princess, we reach a tower and we climbed like three floors worth of stairs, but finally we reached a room cover in baby pink and blue colors, it was quite small, but enough for all of us
"Sorry for bringing you here, this is the only place my parents won't bother us" She said
"Is ok. You wanted to talk about the dark knight, right?" I said
"Hehe, you heard us" She said
"Why don't you want to kill the dark knight? Don't you want him to go away?" Clyde asked
"Is not like I don't want him to go away, is just that I don't feel like he is a bad person" The princess said
"A monster?" Clyde said
"Yeah, something inside me tells me that, and also he hasn't destroyed anything or killed anyone" She said "No normal monster would do that"
"You are right, monsters are always relentless when they want something, and the inn keeper told us he was been waiting for more than a week" I said
"Right. So, what exactly do you want us to do?" Clyde told the princess
"I talk to him, I want to know why he wants me so desperately" The princess said
"I say we should do it" I said
"If we can make him go away without fighting, that would be the best" Clyde said
"Please, I beg you" The princess bowed to us
"You can count on us" Clyde said
"Thank you" The princess said "One more thing before you go, could you tell me your names?"
"Our names?" I said
"Yes, you are going to risk your life for me, is only fair I pay the proper respect" She said
"But your father didn't care" I said
"Yeah, he is not the most caring person" She said
"It's fine, I'm Clyde Donovan"
"And I'm Daniel"
"Daniel what?" The princess said
"Just Daniel" I said
"Oh… ok. Clyde, Daniel, thank you for listening to my request" She said making Clyde smile
"You are welcome miss" Clyde said
"Oh, you don't have to call me like that here, no one can hear us here" She said
"Like what?" Clyde said
"Miss" She said
"Sorry for being too formal" Clyde said
"It's not like that, what I mean is that… you know" She said
"Know what?" Clyde said
"Wait, you don't know, but everyone in town know. Are you not from Stornway or any town nearby?" She said
"We are from Angel Falls" Clyde said
"The secluded town in the canyon… I see, so you don't know who I am?" The princess said
"You are the princess, are you not?" Clyde said
"Hehe, I see, I never been in a situation like this before, everyone just know it" She said and Clyde and I look at each other confused "Let me introduce myself. My name is Leopold Stotch, but my friends call me Butters, I'm the first-born son of the King and Queen of Stornway"
"Son…? What?!" Clyde said
"You are a guy?" I said
"Yep, hehe" The apparently prince laughed
"Then, why are you wearing a dress? And why everyone calls you princess?" Clyde asked
"That's because my parents always wanted a daughter, and because I born a boy, they force me to dress like this and decreed that everyone address me as such" Butters said
"Why?" I said still bewildered
"During political marriages the Princess families are the ones usually on top, but they had me and were never able to have another baby, so they force me to dress like a princess and hide the fact that I'm a boy, even if everyone in the kingdom knows it" He said
"No way, that's horrible" Clyde said
"Don't worry, one day I plan to run away and live my life far from my parents, but until then I'll have to endure it" Butters said
"You are so brave" I said
"Don't worry Butters, we'll complete this mission and support you in any way we can" Clyde said
"Thanks, I wish you the best" Butter said
Clyde and I nodded and leave the castle. There were some hours to sunset, so we returned to the inn, the restaurant was already open and we decide to eat
"I would had never thought Butters was a guy" Clyde said while we wait for our food "He is pretty, though"
"Maybe that's why we can put that act so well" I said "I hope I can see him without that exaggerated dress in normal clothes"
"You don't like fancy clothes" Clyde said
"They don't seem comfy" I said
"Hey boys, how did everything go?" Red said entering the restaurant and walking to us
"Great, we got the job" Clyde said "And we got to talk with the prince… princess"
"Is ok, everyone knows about Leo" Red said
"Something tell me the king's plans for Butters is not working" I said
"Yeah, Leo is a great guy, but the king's personality drives off anyone interested in Leo" Red said
"That's good, that gives Butters more time to run away" I said
"That's right" Red said "Also I have something for you"
"A gift?" Clyde said excited
"Not quite" She said "Have you considered what I told you? About getting more people for your group"
"Not really" Clyde said
"It's not a bad idea, but we are beginners' adventurers, I don't know if someone would want to team up with us, especially for such a big mission" I said
"Well, I know someone here in town who has a little bit more experience, but has never been able to be in a team" Red said
"Huh? What do you mean?" Clyde said
"Hehe, would you like to meet him?" Red said
"I guess…" I said
"Is he an adventurer too?" Clyde asked
"Yep, he is a mage" Red said
"A mage?!" We both said

Hey guys, sorry this took so long. My old phone finally died and got a new one, and I been playing all the games I wasn't able to play before :3 (This is not a promise to upload more frequently)
But hey, did you like the chapter? I'm happy with everything I was able to put in, the story hasn't had a lot of views, but I still like it :3 I just hope the South Park and Dragon Quest fans like it too
