Blood Under the sun

After the attack on the U.A. Training grounds by the villain league, it was considered wise to pull the children away from the city as the various Hero agencies were trying their best to locate and capture the villains responsible for the event.

"An all included fully paid trip to South America! It's a cruel thing to say but if it gets me to be treated this well then I wish I was attacked by villains more often!" Mineta shouts at the top of his lungs as he enters the airport in order to take a plane to South America.

"Don't cause a ruckus damn it" their teacher Aizawa says as he tries to make himself hyped up enough to try and put them back in line.

"Relax, ease up, we're going on a vacation" Midnight says trying to tease him.

"It really was unexpected though. I couldn't believe we would leave so soon. The attack on the high-school really must have put everyone on high alert" Midoriya says overthinking everything again. "Hm... just think about all the heroes we'll meet there and all the interesting Quirks!" He says rising his fists into into the air ready to learn about their culture.

"I've heard all professional heroes in South America wear masks and never show their true identity to the public." Ida says heading with the rest towards the entrance of the plane.

"Makes sense doesn't it? They could be targeted in the streets. Here in Japan we have a high concentration of heroes and villains but there, I've hear whole countries still use Quirks to fight guerilla wars" Kaminari butts in with his out of nowhere facts.

"And where you knucklehead heard about that?" Bakugo asks.

"I think it was a book. The history of South America in the beginning of the century."

"How could people have used Quirks back then if there weren't any?" Bakugo asks ready to punch him in the face.

"Don't worry about any of that." Aizawa says overhearing them. "It's not like were stupid to bring you children close to any possible war zone, quite the opposite. The are we've decided to bring you is an especially tranquil place filled with heroes. You're going to learn from them in a safe environment."

"See, you're stupid! Even when you try to learn you become stupider!"

"Be nice everyone. The plane is about to take flight and if you don't behave I'll have to put you all to sleep." Midnight says teasing them by pulling onto her leotard.

"Please do!" Mineta shouts from the back.

The plane takes flight and after hours of excruciatingly boring cloud gazing they reach South America tired, broken and hungry. The first thing they did was to raid the resort's kitchen for food then headed directly for sleep. Jet lag was a cruel mistress, crueller than Midnight. She couldn't have risked putting them to sleep, what if some of the fragrance got into the cockpit and made the pilots fall asleep too! It was way to dangerous so they just have to bear with the brunt of the time zone change and sleep it out. Everyone sleeps for a whole day waking up only at the beginning of the next evening. It would have been unbearable to force the students to do anything in the conditions they were.

"Alright. Everyone rested up nicely but soon we'll have to put you back to sleep again." Aizawa said with a more relaxed expression. That might have been the first eight hours of sleep he got without interruption in years. "Since we're here we're going to talk some rules with you: First, this is great since you'll have to use English to communicate. People here speak spanish too so start learning some of that while you're at it. Second, don't use your Quirks without permission. You're going to be punished if you do that and I'm talking to you Mineta. Don't think I didn't noticed those sticky balls you've left around the place. No Quirks unless given the order to use them! Third, no wondering off outside the town. This resort area is a famous school trip spot where students can come into contact with masked heroes. There are no attractions here besides the heroes, the monuments we'll visit later together and the training fields. The training fields are supervised all day and night so if you can't hold back from using your Quirk go there and go wild but don't hurt yourselves, there are medics here but no Recovery Girl to fix you up." Then Aizawa looks up a piece of paper and he starts reading under his breath but just loud enough for the students to hear. "No, there's one medic, his quirk allows him to make his hand go through people's skin without damaging the skin or muscles and put back broken bones and tore muscles together with his fingers. Because he needs to feel the blood vessels and the neurons connected they can't sedate you so you feel his hands moving your bones around through your body."

The students shutter in distress at the thought of having someone put their hands inside their bodies and move their bones around.

"Anyhow. For the rest of the evening you are free to do whatever you want, wonder around the camp but don't leave the inner fence. Also, make sure to get a good night of sleep, tomorrow we'll be doing rescue mission training"

"Rescue missions? Wasn't this supposed to be a vacations?" Voices from the crowd unite into this sole questions.

"When do heroes ever get vacations?" Aizawa answers before dismissing them.

And so for the evening they got to entertain themselves with all the resort had to offer. There was plenty of choice: a huge restaurant where everything they could ever wish to eat, the entertainment building with movies, all in English, and an arcade underneath, fields for baseball, tennis, golf and other various outdoor activities and a huge series of fences to keep everyone safe. The resort was a huge investment. Being a hero is a billion dollar business, every country wants to make sure their future heroes are on par with the demand, that being villains as ruthless and violent as they get. That's why the masked hero resort was created, a town sized resort where hero training foundations from all around the world can rent large areas of the resort for the students to interact and learn from a huge variety of masked heroes that work there. The resort is also located on the edge of a tropical rainforest and the sea allowing for additional training in rescue missions or missing person missions. The rainforest being such a harsh environment is pretty much a "cover all" solution to teach heroes in training how to find missing people. Because more than one school can rent part of the resort it is divided into twelve different areas each separated as to not mix and confuse all the children that can visit at once. Beyond the first set of fences which simply separate these rental areas there are the terraformed rainforests. Area of the forest where all the large or dangerous animals were removed while keeping the overall shape of the place intact for training. Beyond the forest there lies the real rainforest with all it's dangers and abandoned sites. Outside the protected area students are allowed only under strict surveillance.

After a night of fun and exploration, intertwined with some adventures and some running away from a very angry Bakugo the students are forced half way through the night by their teachers to get some rest. In the morning training will start. They are brought to an open field in front of two masked heroes. The first hero in front of them was a pretty tall woman wearing a green and red mask with long blond hair and a sleeveless bodysuit. Her code name was Speakeasy or Easy for short and it came from her Quirk Lingua Franca. The second hero next to her was a huge man code name El Santo and he was wearing a glittering mask and white pants with a cape wrapped around his shoulders.

"Alright everyone, get in line" Aizawa says before presenting the two masked heroes to the class. "The first masked hero is Speakeasy or Easy for short and she will make it possible for all of us to understand one another". Easy's powers allows her to draw shapes on people's bodies by simply touching them. All who are marked can understand each other and if Easy desires she can make the marked individuals enter a drunken like state where they tell the truth even if they don't want to. After she was presented to the class she started drawing shapes on the back of their necks. As she was going from student to student she started telling them all a story about how in the past she used to mark students on their hands. The drawing disappears only three days after it was placed on the body but once it happened that a student who had his drawing made on his palm fell, scratched his hands and got lost in the jungle unable to receive informations over the radio because the symbol was damaged.

The second masked her is El Santo and his Quirk is called Glitter Bomb. Whenever he falls his body gathers energy really fast releasing a bright flash on impact. He can chose to not release the stored energy on impact and shoot it through his torso in a manner similar to Aoyama's navel laser only scattered in all directions. The stored energy and explosion gets stronger if he's more hyped up either by performing a wrestling move while falling, shouting or being showered by reflectors.

"Alright everyone, for the next few days we'll be dealing with missing people training. A hero's job is not only fighting villains, they must also rescue people and find missing individuals. In these areas of the world a lot of people go missing for all kind of reasons and it is our job as heroes to find them as soon as possible. The area around the resort is specially prepared for your training. We'll divide you randomly in four groups then set you into four different areas of the forest where you'll need to track down a missing person who has been kidnapped by a villain."

"We'll hand you special tracking devices, they hold a charge for 72 hours of constant use in the extreme case you get lost and can't find your way. They also work as communication devices allowing us to keep in touch and if needed you can remove the battery and charge it either by heating it or holding it under sunlight for a hour or two."

Questioning this move, considering how limited the protected space is Ida rises his hand and asks:

"Are we that much in danger of getting lost that trackers are necessary? Shouldn't we start with a more beginner friendly are first?"

"Well, it is procedure to give all our participants trackers to make sure they don't just wonder off outside the protected area. We would lie however in saying there is no danger. Although this resort is a bastion of heroism filled with masked heroes it happened twice in last five years that people disappeared without a trace, the second time the student was being tracked too." El Santo says before pointing out towards a pair of mountains in the distance. "That place, that place is cursed! No matter what you do, no matter the danger, if you're forced to leave the protected area don't even head into that place!"

"We've had masked heroes enter the mountain ring, some returned never the same" Easy finishes the story. "Don't worry though! The mountains themselves are fenced too so you won't just wonder there without realising it and from here to the mountains there one fifty kilometres of masked heroes and guard stations to keep you safe so don't worry!"

"Anyhow, there are so many measures in place to make sure you won't wonder out of the enclosed area that the probability of that happening is lower than 1%! So let's begin the selection." El Santo say bringing a wooden box with a round hole on the top covered by some dark blue cloth. Inside the box there are twenty sticks divided into four different colours. Each student has to draw a colour to form a group then be assigned an area of the forest.

"Before we begin, just so you know we've calculated the challenge in a pretty fair manner so each one of the five teams is equal to the others. So to incentivise you to work harder and find your target first, as to simulate the pressure of having to find a missing person, we'll add a secret reward to whichever group find their missing person first" The drawing started.

Team Blue is going to be formed of: Yuga Aoyama, Mashirao Ojiro and Mezo Shoji, Koji Koda and Denki Kaminari.

Team Green is going to be formed of: Hanta Sero, Toru Hagakure, Minoru Mineta, Fumikage Tokoyami and Shoto Todoroki.

Team Red is going to be formed of: Katsuki Bakugo,, Mina Ashido, Tsuyu Asui, Rikido Sato and Eijiro Kirishima.

Team Purple is going to be formed of: Tenya Ida, Ochaco Uraraka, Kyoka Jiro, Izuku Midoriya and Momo Yaoyorozu.

Once everyone is ready and prepared they are briefed lightly on their mission then sent off towards the entrance into their respective area of the forest.

"We've also placed surveillance cameras hidden everyone and we'll evaluate all your actions so don't just go crazy destroying everything until you find the missing person."

"Why are you all looking at me?" Bakugo shouts out in anger.

"Well just be careful. Act as you would in case a villain kidnapped a person and now they are on the run from you. Every few hours the location of the villain will change so be on your guard and never lose track of the ground you've already covered! Now, if everything is clear you may each take the path that leads to the entrance of your area! Good luck! Easy says before letting all of them go. After a few minutes when no one was within earshot.

"Well, I guess we've given them enough time to start making their way through the forest. I guess is time for us to head out and prepare too. It's not like villains won't set up traps or attack pursuers when escaping with a prisoner"
