"The Hero Sports Festival, a once in a lifetime chance to show your strength to the world and be noticed by a pro hero in order to work under them for an internship. You'll have to face various challenges which will slowly thin the number of participants until only one of you will win." Aizawa presents the festival to the students in hi monotone manner.

"Will we be able to use our hero costumes?" Ida asks.

"No, you can submit a request if your Quirk requires special items to use but as to not give unfair advantages to the students you'll all have to use your uniforms. Any other questions?"

"Yeah, what are costumes?"

"Did Midnight really not explained anything to you?"

"She was busy... loitering around on the beaches."

"Wait, don't heroes had costumes in your country too?"

"I can't say living in a tribal village gave me many opportunities in experiencing the world around me and whenever I had contact with the outside world it was mostly along the lines of 'it's the thief, tear gas him so he doesn't escape!'."

"But you've seen masked heroes didn't you? You've even seen us wear them."

"I've always figured you do it for fun. Masked heroes at least wear masks, you all wear flashy highly easy to identify clothing which sometimes make you even easier to identify in public while not wearing your costumes. You're not even trying to hide your identity, half of you don't even wear a mask."

"What kind of hero costume would you wear then?" Bakugo asks ready to explode.

"Something that completely covers my blue skin alongside something I can easy move in... I'd say European knight armour for added protection too!"

"It matters not, a hero's costume is meant to make him easily identifiable as a symbol of peace. It's more than hiding your identity or not, it's all about making a statement. A statement which you'll soon need to make since you'll need a hero costume too!" Aizawa says.

"European knight armour!"

"Denied, think of something more creative."

Al didn't had time to think about a substitute to his beloved knight armour since the Sports Festival was right at the corner and to say the truth he prolonged his costume creation deadline on purpose to spend some more time thinking.

"This is the day, today I'll tell the world 'I am here!'" Deku thinks to himself while the class waits in line for the inauguration ceremony. As expected Bakugo turned everyone in class 1-A into a target with his very pleasant personality before they are all prepared to start.

"You're first goal is... to go through an obstacle course around the arena until you reach the goal line. You'll be allowed to use your Quirks as you see fit as long as you don't use them to purposefully hurt or get your companions disqualified. Before we start, are there any questions?"

"Yeah. Are the images we've just seen of the goal line live?" Al asks.

"You mean on the big screens? Yes they are why?"

"No reason..."

"Alright... we'll does anyone else have any questions? If not, then let us begin!" Midnight says as Present Mic takes control of the commenting as he and Eraser Head watch over the competition.

"And they're off ladies and gentlemen, everyone is struggling to go past the first..."

"So, how many points does the winner get?" Alphonse asks suddenly bursting out of a stalk of corn in the middle of the room.

"How did you got here?"

"I saw the reflection of the floor in the ceiling."

"Shouldn't you be participating in the contest?"

"Look at the finish line."

"There's corn there!"

"Yep, I can create corn anywhere in my field of view, it doesn't have to be direct field of view, live feed works too. I tried it once when I came here and infiltrated a certain television show and... I better stop before I say too much and the police starts looking for me. Anyhow, I won, give me the points."

"No! You didn't participated in the race." Aizawa replies

"I used my Quirk to win it!"

"You didn't run the course!"

"Would you have said the same to a hero capable of flight?"

"If you would have used your Quirk to pass over the obstacles then you would have won, you didn't you just reached the finish line. No forget about that, we showed the video of the finish line before the race started. You cheated using your powers beforehand!"

"Aizawa..."

"Call me teacher."

"Do you think I didn't considered that possibility?" Al says with a satisfied look on his face. "Check the whole video from the cameras pointing at the finish line." The video appears on their screen, the go back before the beginning of the race and there was no corn there. Alphonse created the corn when he entered the commenting room and then created the corn when he asked them about what the winner gets. Technically he didn't used his Quirk before the race started.

"You left the race field therefore you don't get any points."

"Can I at least present with you?"

"No, get out of here." Aizawa says ever more angry with Al's actions but the blue trickster steals his microphone and just teleports around the track interviewing the students. By repeatedly creating then immediately withering corn in front of him he creates the illusion of flight by constantly moving forward through a row of corn although he doesn't leave any behind.

"So, Todoroki, do you think you'll win? You have a pretty big advantage."

"Please don't distract me while I'm competing."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the crowd's favourite has spoken. Just so you know, I won, even though they don't want to give me the points." Alphonse says before disappearing only to start bothering Bakugo.

"So, explosion head, how's it feel to be number two?"

"I'm going to win this then beat the hell out of you in the second round too, then the third, then the fourth."

"Oh, even if they don't consider me you'll still be second."

"I'll blow you to pieces!" Bakugo shouts but Al was already gone.

"So, Ida... shouldn't you be a fish swimming in the ocean right now? How come you aren't up there in the front?"

"I'm going to pace myself, keep a low profile for the first part of the round in order to let my opponents take the brunt of the traps lied ahead then I'll take the lead on the final stretch!"

"Great strategy. I'll be cheering for you to beat Bakugo!" Alphonse gives Ida a big double thumbs up before running around interviewing other contestants.

"You seem to have... something on your shirt."

"I can't get him off. I can't!" Momo shouts as Mineta holds onto her with his sticky balls.

"Hit your back in a wall, or jump in the air and land on your back. That will squish the bug and and properly"

"Traitor... Why?" Mineta says as Alphonse leaves.

The first part of the contests ends and the participants finally reach the second part of the track where they have to run over a great chasm.

"So... I presume there's water or something really soft at the bottom." Alphonse says returning to the command room.

"That was some great commentary you've got on the field. The people love it!" Present Mic says enthusiast while Aizawa was brooding.

"Is the chasm safe though?"

"Why don't you go check it out yourself?" Aizawa asks.

"I would but unfortunately I can't see the bottom which really makes me ask some questions here because after a certain length, even if you land in water it would be like landing on concrete so I really hope you put something really, really soft down there."

"If I were the students I wouldn't want to find out as whoever falls loses the race."

"Loses the race or their lives!"

"Oh, look at Todoroki and how stylishly he crosses the ropes. Go take some more interviews with the students!"

"Can't do that. I can't create corn mid air and that rope is too thin for me to create enough corn on it for me to teleport so I'll sit this one out."

"You're saying you couldn't have crossed this obstacle with your Quirk?"

"Are you kidding me? I can see from one side to the other of the canyon with no problem."

Soon enough however the participants reached the last obstacle. A mine field, with mines that aren't dangerous enough to kill.

"To hurt or to kill?"

"Listen, we've already had enough lawsuits to know how not to hurt the students. It is safe."

"Do I lose points if I go and sabotage Bakugo from reaching the finish line?"

"Yes, you'll lose all of them, you'll be disqualified, just stay put and watch." Bakugo and Todoroki start fighting as they each want to be the winner of the race. A huge pink explosion however interrupts the two as Midoriya managed to create a plan to reach the first place. He gathered up all the mines he could dig up and launched himself on top of them in order to propel himself forward and win the race.

"What a turn of events! Midoriya Izuku is the first to win the race!"

"Oh, come on! At least Bakugo didn't reached first place..."

"That's enough. Time for you to go back in the arena and wait for the second round."

Alphonse does as he's being told and everyone goes in front of Midnight to listen about what's to happen next.

"What a race filled with twists and turns! I could have never foreseen such an outcome! Now that the race is done, it's time for the grading. Because of his Quirk, Alphonse Sabas is disqualified and cannot compete to the second round!"

"I will become a monster if that happens!" He protests in anger.

"Calm down, calm down. It's just that we didn't considered you being able to teleport when we created the challenges so... it's kind of impossible to test you considering how you can just teleport away from whatever we try to throw at you."

"So I'm out?"

"You can still take part in the final brawl if you want to. I mean, this got to be something, the first student to break the Sports Festival."

"If you find me a hero interested in an apprenticeship before the Festival ends then I won't lawsuit you."

"You mean you won't sue us."

"Don't think just because I don't know what a word means now I still won't know before the Festival ends!"

"We'll see what we can do. Until then, feel free to keep commenting with my colleagues."

"Thank you I really enjoy doing that!" He says before leaving.

"Well, now that this matter has been settled we can go forth to the second round where we will split the students in a cavalry battle based on teams. Every student will have a certain amount of points to themselves that they've earned during the first round. If you want to keep the points then you'll have to keep the bandanna with the points on your head. During the battle you can use your Quirk but not to purposefully make your opponents trip. If the team leaders touch the ground then they lose all their points and the team is disqualified.

"I never had a cavalry battle before. I bet is very fun."

"Don't listen to him, he's just trying to guilt trip us for disqualifying him."

"You mean he's just trying to guilt trip us for being too good at what he's doing!"

"Why do I feel this weird tension in the air?" Present Mic says as Aizawa and Alphonse keep butting heads over technicalities.

The commentary for the second round is far more lacking than the first since all the people hear is either Present Mic trying to hold a conversation with himself or Aizawa fighting with Alphonse. While the second round was going down however the teachers had to deal with Alphonse and his powers. They really had to find a way to appease him as what they did to him was truly unscrupulous. Therefore they searched around for a bit and finally found a hero willing to accept him as an apprentice, however to do so, Alphonse would have to fight him for ten minutes without running away.

"I'll teach him to make a mockery out of our traditions. He think he's so amazing teleporting around and having a big mouth? I'll put him back in his place." The pro hero Grey Tusk said as he headed out to challenge Al to a fight.

"A pro hero versus a student? Is the head rector insane?" All Might says as the other teachers are made aware of the fight.

"This is the only way to appease Alphonse. We've taken away his right to compete, might as well give him this token. If he fights and Grey Tusk gets serious then we'll intervene immediately. If he survives at least three minutes in ring with him then he'll most certainly receive some proper apprenticeship requests."

"You should still remember, we have strong students this year. Todoroki and Bakugo are especially strong, even Midoriya has a tremendously powerful Quirk which he is unable to control. They already could prove quite the challenge for certain heroes. Now consider Sabas, he lived all his life in the mountains in a tribal village venerated as a god and most likely had to fight a lot of battles, he is after all the sole survivor of his village and he defeated an army of villains with only the help of one other unknown fighter."

"You think he'll win?"

"No, there's no way he can damage Grey Tusk, not even his obsidian weapons could pierce his metal like skin. At most he will run around in circles until Grey Tusk gets bored and stops the fight. He dodged Bakugo's explosions, I'm sure he can dodge Grey Tusk's charges."

Grey Tusk is an elephant pro hero. His mutation Quirk much like Gang Orca turns him into a man-elephant hybrid with huge muscles, a large trunk and a pair of very large curved tusks that grow from his shoulders. He can chose to increase the size of his tusk at will and can use them as spears to thrust with them as he elongates them. He is strong enough to demolish houses with his charge.

"Before the rest of the battles start, as the students rest and gather their strength, we prepared a side activity but it seems that will be replaced with a mock battle between Grey Tusk and Alphonse Sabas. The pro hero Grey Tusk will wear weighted cloths and gauntlets to slow him down during this battle. The rules are simple, whoever leaves the field first loses. Any opponent can give up whenever they want. Any of the two wins if the opponent can no longer fight. Alphonse wins if he is capable of fighting for 10 minutes against Grey Tusk. Any questions?"

"Yes, let me answer this pipsqueak's question. Yes I will crush you under my feet."

"I was wondering if they had any red meat for me to eat after the battle but I guess your trunk will do. I never tasted elephant before." Alphonse says as he removed his shirt and picked up a wooden sword covered in obsidian from a stalk of corn he made to grow next to him. Midnight gives the signal and the two are ready to fight. Al immediately enters his rows of corn and tries to strike Grey Tusk from behind but the large pro hero is huge and resilient and his attacks did barely any damage. Grey Tusk turns around and tries hitting Al with his trunk but the latter disappears in an instant.

"I'll teach you how a pro hero does things boy. You showed all your cards in the first round. You can create corn inside your field of view you said. What if you couldn't see? Grey Tusk shouts as Al tries to get behind him again. When he did it the second time Grey Tusk released from his trunk a thick cloud of dust covering Al's field of view making him unable to teleport away.

"You're mine now!" The hero says as he grabs Al with his giant arms and throws him into the air. "Tusk Rush!" he shouts as he sends out both his tusks and hit Al mid air. He doesn't aim with the sharp part of his tusk using them like the shaft of two long spears to hit him in the middle when the tusks cross together. He holds him in mid air like a bull holds a matador swinging him wildly then throwing him on the ground. Grey Tusk slams his feet into the stage breaking the concrete. He was preparing to charge Alphonse out of the stage.

"You've made a mistake accepting my challenge kid. You should have learnt to keep down your head and do as you're told, it's your fault for disrespecting the Sports Festival."

"You're a pro hero right? Then you should know the best to never count the villain out before you apprehended him to the police. My corn is made out of my own blood." Alphonse says as Grey Tusk is about to charge him out of the ring. "So just you wait and see how terrifying it is from the source!" Al shouts as he makes a large cut from his left shoulder to his right hip making blood sprout out of his wound which immediately turned to maize.

"Yes, this is not corn, this is the maize Aztecs used to grow hundred of years ago!" Hands reach out from the maize and Grey Tusk disappears in the rows before Alphonse throwing him out the stage through a separate bush. Alphonse falls down to the ground from his own inflicted wound. He won, Grey Tusk was out of the field but he couldn't stand up to celebrate his own victory. The organisers take him away as the crowd remains silent not knowing what happened. Grey Tusk too seems very shocked as for a second he felt like he was dead then came back to life when he was thrown out of the corn rows.

"It was terrifying. There was a huge field of corn, taller than me, with dark pyramids every now and then. The sky was dark filled with lightening and I could feel people looking at me, waiting to pounce on me and rip me to shreds. What is wrong with that child?"
