Unfair punishment chapter 3

Warning: this chapter contains spanking of a minor. If that isn't your thing; turn back around now.

A/N: I updated this chapter since fanfiction uploaded the wrong version for some odd reason and I only realized it now. There were a few missing pieces that annoyed me since it made the chapter harder to read.

Donnie tried storming off, he actually got a few steps away from the couch, but Chris was both stronger and faster than him so he caught up to him easily and grabbed a hold of his left arm.

"I'm not. We need to talk about this Donnie."

"We don't." Donnie answered stubbornly. "Case closed, nothing to discuss."

"We do." Chris corrected him." And I'm in no hurry and you'll stay for as long as it takes for the two of us two clear the air."

"Well I'm in a hurry to get home so let me go! I have stuff to do!"

"No. Sit back down."

"I hate you!" Donnie spat desperately out of pure built up anger, stress and hurt.

"What?" The shock had Chris dropping his grip on Donnie's arm.

"I hate you." Donnie repeated looking straight into his eyes before taking off and slamming the door shut behind him before Chris could recover from what felt like a fist to his face.

-Unfair punishment-

Donnie glanced at the clock over the front door. One a clock in the morning, if his parents woke up now they would be worried sick and murder him when he was found. He had screwed everything up once again, and try as he might, he hadn't been able to get Chris's hurt eyes out of his mind. He had hurt his brother. Sure, he had been desperate not to talk to Chris, but had that given him the right to hurt his own brother?! Donnie threw the basketball hard towards the fence surrounding the court in frustration. Why couldn't he do anything right?! He had tried so hard to do something nice but failed completely and now everything was just wrong. His parents and Nate were worried, Sean frustrated, his coach mad, King angry and Chris…Donnie couldn't exactly blame Chris if he couldn't bring himself to ever forgive him.

Donnie caught the return ball, but couldn't bring himself to even try for a good shot, the last thought overtaking his mind. Chris had been there every step of the way since the day Donnie had confessed his longing to be included in Chris's and King's family. He didn't hate him. He couldn't. Not now or ever.

"Donovan James." The unexpected, disappointed, voice of his brother had Donnie standing frozen, staring dumbly at his brother. The basketball in his hands dropped to the ground and stayed there, Donnie making no move to pick it up. "I think you are well aware that you've crossed a line tonight by being out here at this time of night. No matter how angry you are you can't put yourself in this kind of danger."

"How did you find me?" Donnie asked once he got his bearings back and moved to pick up the deserted ball.

"I had a feeling you'd do something stupid so I put out a word to some friends to keep their eyes and ears out." Chris nodded towards the squad car in the parking lot Donnie had failed to notice. "Detective Collingwood and Hawk responded to a call about a teenager being out here alone at this time of night, found you, and called me. I asked them to only keep an eye out until I arrived." Donnie nodded absentmindedly, feeling the beginnings of the headache he had been fighting all day, forming. "You are going to thank them for looking out for you before we leave, got it?"

"Yes sir" Donnie whispered conflicted, not sure if he should hold onto his anger or sink to his knees and beg for Chris's forgiveness for his hurtful words.

"Come on, let's get you home." Donnie didn't answer, but didn't fight against Chris's hold this time. They paused by the squad car Hawk and Josh stood leaning against. Donnie swallowed his pride and thanked them sincerely.

"Thankyou for keeping me safe."

"We were glad to be of help." Josh answered kindly, squeezing his shoulder reassuringly.

"Kind of stupid though to be out here at this time. I hope you don't think I'm just a stupid kid."

"A hurting teen maybe, but not stupid." Hawk replied and ruffled his hair. "Do me a favour though and don't do this again. You have no idea what could have happened to you."

"Yes sir."

"The same goes for me." Josh said, his tone suddenly stern.

"Yes sir." Donnie replied miserably.

"Oh, come here kid." Josh opened his arms and Donnie shot into them without hesitation. He had known Sean's godfather for years and although he hadn't been back in NO for years until 6 months ago, he still felt like the same safe harbour as he had when Donnie was a kid.

"Everything is a mess." Donnie sniffled.

"Talk it out, that's the only way for it to get better." Josh advised giving him one a last comforting squeeze before letting go of the teen. "And Donnie? My door is always open if you need somebody to talk to who isn't in the middle of it. Please remember that the next time you need space."

"Thankyou. I will."

"Come on Trouble, it's late enough as it is." Chris said a lot less sternly and guided him towards his car.

-Unfair Punishment-

"It's too late to talk about it now, but neither of us will sleep if you have to fret over your punishment for tonight until the morning, so pants down and over my knee." Chris ordered and sat down on the couch expectantly the moment the pair made it through the door. "If I have to chase you, I'm adding swats, so don't make me."

"No." Donnie balked at the sight of his brother removing his belt. "Chris, no."

"Come here before you panic, it's only for the last part."

"Still."

"I won't hurt you Donnie."

"King has never used a belt."

"And you have thus far never put yourself in as much danger as you did tonight."

"Please don't." Donnie pleaded.

"I'd hate to start counting, kid." Getting a feeling he wasn't getting out of this, Donnie took a hesitant step towards Chris, who calmly reached out for him and brought him to stand in between his knees. "Listen to me." Chris brought Donnie's chin up with one hand to enforce eye contact. "Will it hurt? Yes. Will I really hurt you though? No. Do you understand the difference?"

Donnie nodded reluctantly.

"And please remember that I do it out of love."

"I know."

"Good." Chris gave him a wry smile. "Do you understand why I'm about to spank you?"

"Because I put myself in danger."

"Exactly. Pants down and over my lap please."

The first swat was hard, much harder than Chris had started out a spanking the few times in the past. The heat built up rapidly and Donnie struggled against the tears by the tenth swat. Chris held a close eye on his brother's body language, while making sure the lesson would stick. Donnie had put himself in danger tonight, Chris wanted to make sure it wouldn't happen again. So although Donnie started crying openly after five more swats, Chris only shifted to target the sensitive undercurve and thighs. The so far ignored target didn't take long to warm up to the same rosy colour as the rest of Donnie's backside but it was only once Donnie went limp that Chris moved his hand to gently rub Donnie's back instead.

"You are okay pal, we're going to be okay kid."

Once Donnie had calmed down enough Chris helped him stand up but stopped him from reaching for his discarded clothes.

"Sorry kid but we aren't done yet."

"But…"

"No. I can't use a belt with you over my lap, it would be a too great risk of me hitting your hips by mistake. I want you to bend over the sofa, you can rest your head in your arms or in a pillow, but do not reach back." Donnie wanted to protest more but couldn't find himself to do so when Chris led him to the backside of the sofa and grabbed a pillow that Donnie could bend over so the edge of the sofa wouldn't hurt him.

"Spread your legs a bit more Buddy, I don't want you to rock forward from you losing your balance." Donnie did so shakily, still contemplating whether he should run or not…but then again it was only a few licks, if he took of now, he was sure he would be in for another spanking like the one he just had gotten. After all it couldn't get much worse, could it?!

Chris didn't waste any time and brought the belt down with a snap. It took a millisecond for the pain to register but once it did; it felt like a sting of bees. Three more hit his bottom before Chris moved to the tights, shortening the belt in his hand a little so that when it landed the loop hit Donnie's inner thigh. The kid yelped surprised and Chris winced sympathetically, but knew from own experience that those were licks he would remember. Chris gave the other thigh the same treatment before laying down one last lick against the kid's sit spots and immediately thereafter dropping the belt and bringing Donnie into a tight bear hug.

A/N: Please don't hate me if Chris seems harsh to you. He is always going at it from own experience and is only looking out for Donnie. Anything could have happened to Donnie and it was important that he knew it. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the story and please give me a comment if you did!
