Night One
As usual, the days began with breakfast; today oddly though, Sett was cooking. This was rare of course as the half vastayan never had home economics in school. The problem wasn't the cooking per say, but in the fact that he made the fire alarms go off. While Xayah was already awake, this was a very rude awakening for Rakan. Both Xayah and Sett laughed as a pillow came flying out of the shared bedroom. Unfortunately for the other two, said pillow ended up breaking the pitcher of orange juice that was on the kitchen island. Both of the lovers end up looking at each other with a slightly annoyed look before Xayah goes to clean up the glass and spilled juice.
About twenty minutes later Rakan comes shuffling out of the other room at the smell of coffee. There was a large spread on the small kitchen table; plates topped with pancakes and bacon and bowls filled with eggs and oatmeal. Both Xayah and Sett were already chowing down on the mostly not burned food while Rakan made himself comfortable in the chair between them
"Was setting off the fire alarms really necessary Sett?" Rakan asks with a husky sleep voice.
"Well," Sett began with a mouth full of food, "I kinda, well really burned the first batch of bacon which is why we only have one pound here not two." Sett babbled while spitting food basically across the table.
Xayah glared at the man in front of her while pulling a bit of scrambled egg from her hair.
"You know Sett, for your mama being such an amazing person, you'd think she'd teach you table manners." Xayah teases, quickly ducking under the table and laughing as a piece of toast comes flying at her.
"That's my Mama you're talking about!" Sett yells with a fake pout. A pout that is easily fixed with a quick kiss from the still exhausted Rakan.
"What a waste of food," Rakan mumbles through the kiss before pulling away, "I should make you eat that off the floor." He whispers to Sett with a chuckle before sitting back down.
A deep crimson blush came to the other man's face as he stared at the yellow-haired vastayan. A look that was quickly hidden when the female among the bunch emerged from underneath the table.
"What did I miss?" Xayah asked with curiosity while looking between the two boys.
Sett chimed in quickly while standing from the table, nearly knocking everything over. "Oh! It's nothing, honestly!" He laughed while backing to the door and grabbing his bag and keys. "I really do have to be getting to work though. Love you both!" He yelled while closing the door behind him.
Not long after that door closed, the sound of a car starting and peeling out of the driveway was heard. Xayah looked at her man with a look of extreme confusion. After a minute she just shook her head and got up to start clearing away the empty plates and to do the dishes.
Not long after she started the dishes, she was assaulted with multiple kisses on her neck and face as Rakan said his usual goodbyes before heading off to work himself. Fortunately for Xayah, she worked from home and she didn't begin work until the afternoon. This left her with the ability to sit and wonder about what those two men did while she was under the table eating that thrown piece of toast.
Around five in the afternoon, Sett returned home. Xayah was still working so instead of bothering her, he sat down with a glass of red wine and began to catch up on the group's collective favorite show, Gilmore Girls. Around the one and a half episode mark, Rakan comes home. The other male as always reeked of sweat and was covered from head to toe in body glitter.
Sett looked over and smiled. "How was the day at the dance studio?" he queries as he gets over to give Rakan a welcome home kiss.
Rakan smiled tiredly and kissed him back before replying. "Well you see, it's almost my group's recital day, so all four groups were trying on their costumes, makeup, and hair and we danced wearing it all to see how it fared. It went well, except for one little hiccup." He sighs and runs his hands through his hair, making it stick straight up. "One of my girls broke her arm after falling during a lift and now we are down a dancer." He groaned with stress and plopped down on his part of the couch.
Sett walked over and sat down next to him, gently massaging his shoulders and soothing him. "It will all be okay love, and you know if need be Xayah knows all of your dances and she's small enough to fill the role of that girl easily."
Rakan looked over at him and smiled softly. "I'll have to ask her about it when she's done with work." He replies before they both continue to watch the episode of Gilmore Girls.
Around three hours later Xayah emerged from her office. Taking her large round glasses off and hooking them onto the front of her shirt. She sighed and smiled when she noticed that both of her boys were passed out on the couch with an empty bottle of wine for both of them. She walked over to the closet and pulled out a few blankets and pillows; tucking them both in snuggly before she went to shower and go to bed herself.
