It's the Christmas ball day that he is particularly fond of, and it's been a while since he had a good Christmas. Since his mother's cheating and his parents' divorce he and Marcus have celebrated with their father as their mother is too "busy". This year he was hoping to spend it with Donna but that was before she told him these things at the Halloween party. He was trying to hate her but he couldn't make it he was just broken but he wished it was different between them. He gets up close to attack this endless day. He hears Mike on the phone he's in confluence with Jenny since she thinks Mike has feelings for Rachel. Hard love. For his part he is with Zoey although he does not really feel in a relationship with her they have never slept together he knows that Zoey would like but he always claims that it is too early or that he is tired but he knows it's a facade. Zoey is not Donna.
He drives the dark thoughts out of his mind and walks into the bathroom with a tuxedo on his arm.

Donna is not doing well, as in not well at all she can't stand what she has done to Harvey. They haven't spoken to each other since Halloween so except pass me the salt when he was sitting at the table with their friends and unfortunately the salt was next to them. Donna decided to go in the shower the shower always made her forget her worries. She is determined tonight she will arrive with her head held high. Deep down she knows it's a mask because as soon as she sees Harvey she will no longer be in control of her emotions.

That's it, it's time, Donna told herself before stepping into the room. It is covered with snowflakes everything is white or blue with glitter. The snow covering the trees outside is real. This is what a winter in Boston looks like.

But she keeps watching him resting his head subtly on Stephen's shoulder so he won't know what she is doing. He looks really happy. When at one point he finally meets her gaze a wave of emotion overwhelms him when his hazel eyes meet her intense chocolate eyes. But he looks away, his veil lifting revealing sorrow. If his heart wasn't broken before, it definitely is now.
The next song is playing it's pretty rhythmic jazz she loves jazz she discovered this style of music thanks to…. Harvey realizes. Immediately his thoughts return to him dancing with Zoey making her laugh at the crazy steps he takes. When she hears his laughter, she is full of nostalgia, no longer thinking of hearing that sound again, but she realizes that her laugh was not intended for her, it belongs to someone else.

Great music comes out of the speakers. Stephen grabs her and spins her around. This is where everything goes wrong, something fell out of Stephen's jacket. She bends down and grabs it she knows what it is. Cocaine, but it's not just that. A small caliber gun. Stephen is he? No, that's not possible.
- «Stephen what is this?» She shows him the cocaine and the gun
- «What is this mess ?»
- «Nothing is good» he snatches the package and the gun.

- «Explain me Harvey» she said harshly

- «What just happened? Why did you jump on him?»
- «He assaulted Donna he manhandled her he touched her when she didn't want to I never would have let that happen, this asshole is a drug dealer and he was ready to rape her.»

A flash of defeat flashes through Harvey's eyes and in pain he sees Donna in the room she seems lost, Zoey catches her gaze.
- «So that's it» she expires

- «Are you in love with her?» She asks looking him straight in the eye

Harvey looks sadly at Zoey he can't say that he has to be honest with her.
- «I like you Zoey you're a wonderful girl but ...» she won't let it end
- «You are not in love with me you are in love with her» she answers her tone full of purpose.
- «That's not it Zoey» he said weakly
- «At least be honest with me Harvey at least once be honest» she cries
Harvey looks up and what he sees grips his heart. He looks her in the eye and decides to answer the most difficult question he has ever had to answer.

He reaches out his hand without thinking and wipes it off.

Donna is frozen by the words emanating from him she does not know what to say she meets his gaze but in a brief moment everything is over.
- «Have a good Christmas Donna»
- «Merry Christmas Harvey»
And with that he left a tuxedo jacket over his shoulder after saying words to him that made his heart beat. A tear pearls on her cheek and as she gazes at the dark night a snowflake as perfect as a star lands on her mantle.
