You will soon see the starting world. It is nice to see that my mind vomit is getting so much support. Let's all strive to do better, ok? Ah, yeah. Not much to do about the comments since most of them were recommendations. So... let's get started!

After reading that text, suddenly a weird feeling struck Makoto. He felt weightless and everything started to twist and shake around him. And then, all became black...

Wake up, sleeping beauty~! We have a lot to do!
"Urgh... I told you to stop calling me that-! Wait, where are we...?" After letting the dizziness fade from his senses, Makoto saw that he was in a apartment sleeping in a bed. He slowly got up and started walking and observing around.
The place was somewhat empty and some labeled boxes were around. It seemed that someone, himself, Makoto supposed, just moved in recently. The walls were devoid of any paint or decors. There was a small coffee table in the living with some papers and a cellphone resting on it, alongside a small blue sofa that could fit two people. There was no TV but there was a Jukebox in the corner with some CD cases sprawled around it. In the kitchen, there were all the basic tools to cook and also a small refrigerator filled with food and ingredients for a week at least. There was a small balcony that overlooked the city. All in all, it was a nice apartment that could easily fit two people.
Hmmmm... It's somewhat empty but we can easily fix that later. Oh, look on that dossier on the coffee table!
Listening to what his partner said, Makoto grabbed the dossier in the coffee table and open it. It showed his photo on it alongside some of his information. It seems it was his school information and a school transfer form.
Huh, it seems the Gamer System designed a background for you. Emancipated orphan? Man, that seems to follow you everywhere. I'm sorry, partner.
"Don't worry about it. I'm accustomed... Second year, eh?" Makoto said as he checked the folder. I was going to be a second year student again? I hope it doesn't become a trend...
Hmmmm... Say partner, which school are we going into? Maybe that will show us a clue on which world we are.
"Oh, you are right. Let me see... Homurahara Academy?" Makoto answered as he checked the dossier.
...Fuck. We are in big trouble partner.
"Trouble...? What do you mean? Is there something wrong with the name of this school?" Said Makoto, feeling a big sense of foreboding out of those words.

Makoto scanned through the content of the quest and then started searching for workout clothes in the labeled boxes. After picking up a white shirt, gray jogging pants and a pair of light blue running shoes he grabbed the keys of the apartment he left and started jogging around the city. If he was going to stay here for a while, he might as well explore around Fuyuki.
He had to admit, the sights in Miyama-cho were nice to admire. Makoto kept jogging at a sedate pace as he explored everything he could before the end of the day. Two hours later he was feeling tired but he had completed one of the objectives.

As he took a small break he decided to check the school he would be joining. After a small walk, he reached Homurahara Academy. It was quite a nice place.
He never had told anyone, but while he enjoyed his time at Gekkoukan and the modern facilities it offered, he would always appreciate the charm of a traditional school. Since the school was closed, he would check it out later.
As he started going home to complete the rest of the quest, he stopped at the market to get some groceries. He had enough of them in his refrigerator but he wanted rice and vegetables for his dinner today. As he searched for the rice, he turned into a corner only to crash headfirst into someone else, letting his basket with vegetables fall into the ground."
"Ouch! Oh, I'm sorry! Let me help you with that." Said a redhead male about a inch higher than him as he crouched to pick up the vegetables while he rubbed his forehead.
"No, don't worry. I should be the one apologizing. I was somewhat distracted. Here, let me help you. My name is Makoto Yuki." Makoto said as he apologized and helped the stranger he bumped into. "Man, I should know better than to be too immersed in my thoughts while I walk. I'm surprised I haven't crashed into a wall yet."
"Nah, don't apologize. I was distracted, too. My name is Shirou Emiya. It's nice to meet you, Yuki-san." Said Shirou Emiya as he presented himself. He had auburn hair and golden-brown eyes. He was wearing a blue and white long sleeve baseball jersey T-shirt and a blue slim straight jeans. He had a sheepish smile as he helped pick up everything.
"It's nice to meet you too Emiya-san. I'm new on the city. I'll be starting my second year as a transfer in Homurahara." Makoto said as they finished picking up everything. He grabbed a pack of rice and put it into the basket too.
"I see! Then I'll be seeing you around. I'll be also starting my second year now. I hope we get along, Yuki-san. Take care!" Said Emiya as he left to pick up the rest of his list of groceries.

"...I have so many questions right now." Said Makoto as he stared at the status of Emiya. First, Magic Circuits and makeshift Magic Circuits? And second... how can someone be so unlucky?
I can answer the first question but that can wait for later. And the second... I swear nobody in the multiverse knows the asnwer for that. Shirou Emiya is a big walking mystery for all of us.
Also, good job on your first impression with Emiya-san there. You can say he is one of the protagonists of this world and thus, he is quite important. If you play your cards right, you will get a strong ally for yourself. Let's walk to our home as I explain.
"Sure. I'm done buying the groceries anyways." He answered as he paid the cashier. He frowned a little as he felt his wallet getting lighter. "I might have to find work later."
As he started walking home, Asteos started explaining.
So... Magic Circuits. Let's see... This is a complicated subject. Magic Circuits are a pseudo-nervous system that spreads itself through the human body and what qualifies a person to be a magus.
Magic Circuits reside within the magus' soul, and what is found on the body is just a physical expression of them that stretches itself throughout the body in a fashion similar to the nervous system. I don't really know anything about makeshift Magic Circuits thought, I'm sorry. You'll have to ask someone with more knowledge about that.
"I see. What exactly is a Magus? Another term for Magician?" Makoto asked as he processed the information.
No. Magus and Magician are different terminologies. Make sure to keep that in mind. Magus is the term for a human practitioner of Magecraft, the magical science, as opposed to a Magician, who is capable of bringing forth true miracles that are impossible to be reenacted at the current scientific stage.
"I see... It sounds quite complicated. But that explains many things here. Do they have a code of secrecy or something?" Makoto asked as he mulled over the information he just obtained.
For the record, they do have it. But not many respect it. Magis are an unscrupulous bunch or at least some of them are. As long as they get results, they will throw aside things like human decency and morality. You better be careful if you are going to mingle with them.
"I'll be careful, so don't worry. Say... Is it possible to have both magic circuits and a magic core?" Makoto asked as he thought of the possibilities.
Hmmmmmm... Theoretically it is possible but not really known. In this age, the ambient magic of this world is deteriorating so people don't develop magic cores anymore, so be careful to whom you reveal you have one. You don't want to end in a dissection table, do you?
"Nope." Answered Makoto simply. It would have sounded nonchalant... if not for the fact his face was pale.
Good, you are scared. That will keep you from doing something stupid. Still, if you still want to know about that, you will have to find someone you can trust and is experienced in Magecraft.
"Yeah, I can see that. Saying it is easier than doing it, though. Still, it seems I have a lot to do here." Makoto scoffed, deep in thought.
Soon he reached his apartment and grabbing his keys, entered in and put his bags in the couch. Breathing in and out, he started to do the rest of the quest. 3 hours later, it had become almost night.

Sighing deeply, he took a shower to wash the sweat. Grabbing a towel, he dried himself up and started preparing his dinner.

"I'll open them after dinner." Said Makoto as he prepared the rice and boiled the vegetables. Soon, a nice aroma started permeating the kitchen after he was done. Grabbing a plate, he served himself the food and started eating. He blinked as a text box appeared in front of him.

Makoto smiled after seeing that. Finished with his food, he washed up everything and then he got ready to open the boxes.
Good, let's get started. I have noticed I haven't explained some things about the system yet. More specifically, Titles, free stat points and some other things I will mention after that.
Now, say Inventory.
"Inventory." Said Makoto as he watched a box with a list of things on it.
Nice. Have you ever heard of a bag of holding? The inventory is like that. You can story many~ things there. The inventory also works like a stasis chamber, so any food you store in there won't go bad. Don't think about storing things like people's bodies in there, though. Bad things happen when you do that.
"I'm pretty sure I don't want to know... Your first host?" Said Makoto as he got the feeling Asteos was grimacing.
Just... don't ask. Whatever, double touch the item you want to bring out.
Doing so, and ignoring the urge to ask Asteos about what his first host did, he brought out the Golden Joystick Lootbox. Like the name said, the box was golden with silver borders and the image of a Nintendo 64 Joystick on it. Seeing a lid, he slowly opened the box. And then...

Makoto gasped as he held the red scarf in his hands. It was quite soft and comfy to the touch and he could feel the power on it. He smirked and put the scarf on his inventory. Next, he grabbed the Holy Grail War Lootbox and the Uncommon Lootbox. He opened the lid of the first one.

Makoto observed the strange pill he had obtained. It was light blue and had a transparent hue. He decided to examine it with Gamer's Insight.

"I get it! No need to play coy with me. I will definitely give this to Shirou once I gain his trust." Makoto snarked annoyed to Asteos. He was no idiot. He had more than 100 INT, damn it! Somewhat pouting, Makoto opened the last Lootboox.

Okay, since we are done with that, let me explain the next point. You've obtained some Dungeon Keys, haven't you? Alright. In many places in the world, there are Dungeons hidden around. These are like gates to other small worlds you can open with these keys.
Many of the creatures there are hostile, which makes them a good place to level up and practice your skill. Make no mistake though, some dangerous enemies can inhabit Dungeons.
They are known as Dungeon Bosses and their bigger and meaner cousins, the Field Raid Bosses. They are dangerous to fight, but you get big rewards for defeating them. I would recommend getting some friends to fight Field Raid Bosses, though.
"I'll keep an eye out then. Who knows where I will find one out." Said Makoto with smile as he played with a Common dungeon key. It looked like a normal iron key.
Next... I would say Gamer Credits and Gamer Shop but that's currently in maintenance. It will be available later.
Alright, we can go with gacha now. Grab those tokens and that ticket please.
Makoto did so as he brought them out of the inventory. The gacha token was a golden wooden stick with the gacha word engraved on it and the ticket was self-explanatory. It was a reddish-golden ticket that also had the word gacha engraved on it.
Well, first since you are Japanese you should know what a Gacha is, so I'm going to skip that. To use that token you only have to break that token in half. And I'm also going to skip over the ticket since you can't use it yet.

As you can see, since you don't lack a physical body anymore, the physical stats are now available. I made sure to fix your background to make sure you had a fit body, Mr. Retired Kendo Star.
That aside, let's start with titles. Titles are passive bonifications obtained by doing big achievements. Some are active passively even if you don't have them equipped. So make sure to live a full life and get as many of them as possible.
Next, stat points. Stat points are free points you can either obtain with quests or by leveling up and can be allocated into any stat. I would recommend trying to increase your stats by exercising and save them as much as possible for emergencies.
Well, that's it. With the theoretical tutorial done, I hope you do your best from now on! Still, you have the practical tutorial waiting for you when you reach a Dungeon.

"Yeah, I guess..." Makoto smiled tiredly. He changed into more comfier clothes to sleep and set up the alarm. Closing his eyes, Makoto allowed himself to smile imagining all the things that could happen tomorrow. "Tomorrow is another day..."

Which makes it all the more enjoyable to read, at least for me. I would have finished this chapter earlier but... I got distracted playing Valorant. Hides in the corner lowering my head in shame.
