Chapter 1: The New Student
Summary:
Kinoshita Kazuya is your average new college student, but he's not that average at all. No one knows who he is nor why he is always with a bruise on his cheek or, sometimes, an ugly cut on his bottom lip.
To you, Kinoshita Kazuya may look normal, pathetic even, but he's not that. And Ichinose Chizuru —as curious as she is beautiful— will discover the secret her neighbour and classmate, Kinoshita Kazuya, is hiding.
Notes:
So, hello there~! This story came up to me after training some Kick Boxing with my best friend at his house... I always thought that martial arts are something extraordinary, and although I don't know too much about MMA or other disciplines I'll try to stay true to realism and everything.
For those who might be interested. I used the following songs while writing: [2Pac ft Eminem - My name], [Eminem - 'Till I Colapse], [Roy Jones, Jr - Can't Be Touch]

KAZUYA

.
"Hit him!"
Someone screamed and before he could understand what was going on Kazuya felt something punch him in the cheek. He heard the sickly echo of bones meeting flesh as his head turned to another direction and his sight became blurred.
The noise around him became muffled as he tried to regain his senses. An iron-like taste overwhelmed his taste buds.
"Yeah! Hit him! Don't let him run away!" Several hands started to grab him from his arms, lifting him up from the ground and carrying him towards another kid.
After a moment of complete silence, Kazuya lifted his gaze from the ground. His eyes widening as he recognized the kid in front of him — and Kazuya tried to break free from the two other kids holding him, spreading his arms by applying force on his elbows. He squirmed and used every ounce of force he had to break free to no avail.
"Look, who we have 'ere?" The kid in front of Kazuya said, smiling and cracking his knuckles.
"S— Seiya I— Akh!" The sudden punch to his stomach took the air out of him. He panted as he tried to breathe but the pain was so intense that he unconsciously tried to curl up, but the ones grabbing his held him tight.
"I never allowed you to talk, did I?" And he punched him again. "So, Kinoshita, I heard that you like to talk to Miyamoto."
Kazuya forced himself to not flinch when her name was said, he knew this was coming — Miyamoto was a pretty girl, but no one dared to approach her because he —Seiya Akihira— and others would chase those who dared to even say a word with her. Kazuya warned Miyamoto to no talk to him but she just ignored him and spoke about their assignment and although he didn't respond back, he was sure that one of Seiya's friends would tell that to him.
"So, Kinoshita?" Seiya grabbed him by his hair, pulling it hard enough to make him grunt. "Ya' know the consequences."
Something made contact with his eye and his head went backwards, Kazuya screamed out of pain. Another punch to the liver shut him and in a matter of seconds, he was on the floor, with his face pressed against the dirt.
"Ya're weak!" Seiya said, pushing his head against the dirt. "Don't even try to talk to her again, Kinoshita! Or I'll punch you 'till I get tired of ya', ya' hear me?"
"Oi!— What the hell is going on!?" Someone yelled and Kazuya felt the pressure being released. There were other voices, older voices somewhere near, but he was too tired to understand.
Heavy footsteps and screams were heard. A pair of hands tried to lift his face from the ground and Kazuya grunted in pain, someone said something to him.
"Grandpa?" He whispered, before the image of his grandfather in the dark fog of unconsciousness.
...
"One! Two—" He shacked his head many times, trying to get rid of the dizzy feeling. There was a man in front of him, his gloved hands aimed at him and two fingers sticking out. Two seconds he had been out... he had almost lost. He grunted angrily as he stood from the floor. "You're okay, kid?"
Kazuya nodded, not really in the mood to talk. He took a moment to look at the bandages covering his hands — they were bloodied and some strands were loose. Kazuya breathed in and out, feeling his heart pounding hard as he cracked his neck. That left hook was something to fear, he would admit that.
"Ready?" The referee asked loudly, moving in-between him and his opponent.
"Ready!" He said but his voice sounded muffled by his mouthguard.
But before the referee could announce the beginning of the match again, some sirens were heard. All the people yelling and screaming around the cage fell in silence as more sirens were heard. And everybody knew what that meant.
In a matter of seconds, the handmade octagon became pure chaos as spectator and bettors tried to flee from the place, pushing people aside and leaving their things behind in order to elude a possible arrest by the police. But before Kazuya could escape, the police had already entered the building.
He sighed tiredly as two cops surrounded him, aiming pistols at him and the other fighter in the octagon. He could hear already his parents yelling at him.
