Tris POV

We've just entered the Merciless Mart and we are now trying to find the room where Tobias and I were injected with the Truth Serum. The Merciless Mart is equally as lifeless as was The Pit, the hallways were dark, the walls were filled with cracks and the floor is covered with dirt.

We haven't found any guards yet which is good because we don't want to scare off the group with gunshots. Uriah then stops walking making me stop and he leans closer to me. "The room is at our left but we have to be careful, they are armed." Uriah whispers.

I guess Uriah is warning me because they could shoot us thinking we are guards, I nod understanding his message. "All right, but we won't shoot them." I whisper and go to the big double door that blocks our path.

I then hear Uriah whisper something to himself that I cannot hear well but I'm sure it's nothing. I'm about to open the double door but then I hear an engine. I turn to Uriah and see he also heard it, we quickly go to the nearest window and we spot a car driving towards where we left ours.

"We have company." Uriah says. I look more closely and notice it isn't a car from the security, that's weird. Who would come here if it weren't the people that need to guard it? "I will check it out. You get the gang." I say.

I can see Uriah debating if he should let me go on my own but then he reluctantly nods, I know he worries about me but it's time to prove that I'm still as strong as I was during the war.

"Very well. Be careful, Tris." Uriah said and then leaned closer to my ear. "You never know how's watching." Uriah whispers and then heads to the double door.

I'm not sure what Uriah was referring to but then I look up at the ceiling and see a security camera. At first, nothing happens but then it turns to my direction. Who's watching us? Is it that sick laboratory that we escaped from? Or an ally that is trying to help us?

I quickly ignore my speculations as I hear the car getting closer; I hurriedly retrace my steps to get to where we parked our car. If someone is indeed watching us then we have to be more careful, we can't let our enemies know what we are doing, even if it someone trying to help us.

Tobias POV

Zeke has just parked his car right next to Uriah's car and we see that it is empty. They must have entered the Merciless Mart. Why are they here? This building has been abandoned for over four years. We then see a hologram appear above the air ventilation and it's a hologram of Caleb, he's now in a laboratory, surely the one he works at. "What do you want, Caleb?" Zeke asks annoyed.

"We've been following Tris and Uriah through the security cameras of the Merciless Mart and they are armed. You should take weapons with you for precaution." Caleb explained.

"Thank you for the warning, Caleb. Could have used the information before, luckily I always take weapons." Zeke says bluntly and turns off the hologram.

Zeke was clearly annoyed at Caleb as we all were but Zeke more than anyone else, I'm guessing is about Uriah but we all found about him just an hour ago so maybe is because Caleb didn't tell us about Tris. As I think that, I chuckle inside, even though he was reckless and a prankster, he was always loyal, ever since I came to Dauntless and will always appreciate his friendship, even when he's an ass.

He and I get out of his car and he goes to open his boot, which is filled with different types of weapons. He wasn't kidding when he said he always carried weapons, he then turns to me. "Take what you please, Four." Zeke says.

I turn to him and nod, I grab an assault rifle and put on my back with the strap that it has. Zeke also grabs an assault rifle, we then see the girls coming out of the car.

"Come on girls. Tris and Uriah aren't going to come to us." Zeke says jokingly as he puts the rifle on his back the same way I did.

Zeke receives slight laughs from everyone including me, then they quickly go to the boot, they all grab the same weapon Zeke and I did. The assault rifle is the most efficient weapon we have in Chicago, supposedly, there are weapons that are more powerful but they never arrive here, which it's odd.

"Me and Christina we'll take the top floors." I say as the girls ready their assault rifles.

"All right, use this so we can stay in touch." Zeke says as he gives Christina and me a comlink each.

Former Erudite members had made many inventions and renovations of older technology, the comlinks were one of those renovations, not only did they permit you to speak to someone that is further away but you could even send your exact location or use it as a Taser gun.

Christina and I place them on our belts and head to the top floors of the Merciless Mart; don't worry, Tris, we are coming.

Third Person POV

Uriah has just entered the room where Tris and Tobias were given the Truth Serum; he searched the former brightly light room, his brown eyes searched for his friends that he had lost during the wretched war. He reaches the dome that was in the middle of the room; he looks around and sees no sign of life. He's confused. He was sure they were in here! Where were they hiding? "Hello?! Anybody?!" Uriah shouted hoping to get a response.

At first, there's no response but then he hears a female voice. It's vague but he would recognize it anywhere, it's Marlene. That soothing female voice that melted his heart was calling out for him. He follows her voice until he reaches a black door, he reloads his gun fearing they might think he is an enemy and slowly opens the door, a bullet greets him that narrowly missed his face. He opens the door more and raises his arms in surrender dropping his gun as he sees Lynn aiming her gun at him ready to shot. "Don't shoot, it's me, Uriah." Uriah hurriedly says.

Lynn immediately lowers her gun as he recognizes his voice, Marlene gets up shocked at seeing him, she walked over to him and hugged him tight glad to see him again. "I missed you, Uri." Marlene says softly.

"I missed you too." Uriah says as he hugs her back. He then sees Will get up and walk over to him. Will is also shocked at seeing Uriah but he manages to not show it not wanting to drag this reunion any longer than it should. "How did you find us, Uriah? Did you come alone?" Will asks.

Uriah looks at Will knowing he had a lot of explaining to do. He pulls away from the hug but keeps one of his arms around Marlene not wanting to leave stop the physical contact with her. "It's a long story how I found you guys but I didn't come alone." Uriah explains.

Al and Lynn finally get up and walk over to the reunited couple and Will. Al turns to Uriah wanting to know who came with him. "Who came with you, Uriah?" He asks

Lynn looks at Uriah with a little disgust because of how he stole Marlene's heart but tries not to show it not wanting to upset Marlene or Uriah since they were still her knows Lynn will never forgive him for stealing Marlene's heart but knows that she will always be a loyal friend even though she will be harsher on him.

"The person I came with is Tris. And she also came back to life and so did I. She died four years ago saving Chicago and, if it weren't for her, Chicago would have been destroyed. I also died around the same time but I died because of a bomb that left me in a coma." Uriah answers.

Marlene looks at Uriah's eyes confused at how Tris could die, she was one of the best loyal Dauntless soldiers they had, and how could Uriah die with his experience in combat?

"But how did Tris exactly die? And why didn't you wake up?" Marlene asks confused, a confusion that Uriah perfectly understands.

"She was shot and the bullet hit her neck so she bled to death. And I didn't wake up because my head injury was too severe and the doctors couldn't do anything." Uriah replies.

Will is about to say something about who shot Tris and who threw a bomb near Uriah but his ears catch a sound, the distinct sound of gunshots. "Does anyone else hear that?" He asks. They all say yes as more gunshots could be heard, Uriah grabs his gun fearing it might be Tris trying to defend herself. "It could be Tris. Let's go, she could use our help." Uriah says urgently.

They quickly grab their guns with fresh ammo and they all head to where the gunshots are coming from, hoping Tris is still alive.

Tris POV

These guards just don't give up, do they? I've been having a shootout with these wretched guards for a while now and they don't seem to give up. Every time I try to escape, they shoot; this is getting ridiculous. I just hope Uriah gets here soon to help me.

I quickly hide behind a wall when I see a bullet coming straight towards me. It narrowly misses my face. That was too close. I then hear footsteps and see Uriah, Marlene, Will, Al and Lynn running towards me. Perfect timing.

"Good thing you guys are here, I really could use your help." I tell them as another gunshot goes by.

"I can see. How many are there?" Uriah asks as he leans against the wall.

"Two or three." I reply and then look at them straight in the eyes after a plan occurs to me. "We will shoot on my mark. That way they won't have time to react." I whisper.

They all agree and get into gun formation. I wait until I know for certain they aren't shooting so that way we can all go to the hallway and shoot at the same time. When I'm sure, I whisper "Three… two… one!" We all go to the hallway and start shooting at where the guards are. I then hear a faint voice; I can't make out what the voice is saying but then Will stops shooting, screaming at us to do so.

We eventually do because Will's screams are getting annoying. What surprised me is that the guards didn't shoot us when we stopped, now that's odd. Then Al turns to him and shoves his shoulder. "What's wrong with you, Will? Can't you see they are trying to kill us?" Al asked miffed.

Will then gives an answer we didn't expect. "I know this sounds weird but I heard Christina's voice. I swear I did!" They all start arguing about if Will is telling the truth; some are his side, some are against him. This is getting ridiculous; we don't have time for this. I walk over to the middle of the hallway will they others continue to argue.

"Whoever you are, we come in peace. I will drop my weapon if you and your companions do as well." I say as I hear the argument coming to a close.

I hope this works, if Will is telling the truth, then Christina will immediately drop her weapon knowing it's me.

Tobias POV

As soon as I hear her voice, my heart beats faster, so fast that I fear it will break my chest. I slightly turn to the hallway and I see her. I can't believe it's her. She's right there, in the hallway. Tobias don't screw this up, don't screw this up.

"All right" I shout and then I turn to Christina. "It's Tris." I whisper.

Christina looks at me and nods. We throw our guns to the hallway so Tris can see we've dropped them. I then hear a bang on the ground and realise Tris must have dropped her gun just like she promised. I then hear Tris say. "Now come out so I can see you."

I take a deep breath and Christina and I walk into the hallway. I can see her face turn from stern to shock; her grey eyes make my heart melt. "Guys, you can stop arguing. Will is telling the truth." Tris says. When I hear the name 'Will', I'm shock. How many people are coming back to life? This is crazy! I turn to Christina and I can see her eyes filling up with tears.

I turn back to Tris and I'm completely taken aback. It's not just Tris, Uriah and Will; it's also Al, Marlene and Lynn. Shauna is going to be thrilled to see her sister again.

Christina rushes towards Will and they fall into a passionate kiss. A slight smile appears on my face as I see Christina cry tears of joy. She and I got closer as friends ever since Tris died, even though she can still be a Candor loudmouth, she's a good friend.

My sight goes back to Tris and I finally find the courage to walk over to her. My feet move towards her but it feels like my leg is dragging a ball and chain, making me take forever to get t my Tris but I eventually do.

Tris POV

My legs are frozen as if they were nailed to the ground. Tobias is there, right in front of me walking towards me. I can't believe this is actually happening. Finally, my legs move and I walk over to him. We end up face to face not knowing what to do or say, I look deep into his blue eyes and see the fire that he always had, the fire of bravery that always made him different from other Dauntless.

Then I see something else, something I never thought I would see in him, fear. Did he fear that this was all a dream? That I might disappear and never return to him? No! I'm going to make him see this is no dream, that this is real and I'm real.

I place my forehead against his and slightly smile which makes Tobias smile. That's better. "I can't believe it. It's really you." Tobias says softly.

"Yes, it's really me, Tobias. And, this time, I won't leave you." I tell him. We are about to kiss but running footsteps ruin the moment. I reluctantly pull back from Tobias only to see Cara with an exhausted face; she looked like she ran a marathon.

"I really hate to break up this reunion but the security guards have found out we are here so let's get moving." Cara says urgently.

We all quickly grab our weapons and follow Cara out the Merciless Mart managing to avoid contact with the guards. We get to where we parked our cars and I see Zeke and Shauna waiting for us.

Their face showed confusion and disbelief. They were about to say something but running footsteps make them hold their tongues. We quickly get in the cars, some of us have to be squashed together, and we leave the Merciless Mart.
