Barry woke up with sunshine on his face.
He didn't immediately open his eyes, he just lied there, eyes closed, savoured he moment of utter, sheer happiness. He stretched his arm in search of a warm body beside him, but he couldn't find what he was looking for.
Then, he opened his eyes.
The bed was empty.
He sat up and called for her girlfriend. "Cait?"
He frowned when she didn't answer, but then he heard the voices coming from the kitchen downstairs.
When he reached there, he stopped at the kitchen door and just enjoyed the view in front of him.
There she was. His miracle.
She was wearing one of his old, baggy Star Labs t-shirts. The t-shirt was barely covering her butt and Barry could enjoy the view of her long, bare legs. Her rose gold locks were in a loose bun, showing of her neck and shoulders under the large collar of the t-shirt. She was skipping around the kitchen on bare foot, making breakfast.
And she was utterly, breath-takingly beautiful.
He watched her a while, until she noticed he was there. She sent him one of her warm, bright smiles.
"Barry! How long have you been there?"
He shrugged while approaching her. "I don't know. I was watching you."
The way her cheeks turned to pink in an instant melted his heart.
"You are a hopeless romantic Barry Allen, you know that?"
Barry hugged her waist and pulled her closer.
"And you, Caitlin Snow, are very, very beautiful."
Caitlin wrinkled her nose in an adorable way.
"Really? Even like this?"
Barry whispered before locking his lips on hers. "Especially like this."
Their kiss started as a soft, romantic one, but things got heated fast. While deepening the kiss, Barry imprisoned her between himself and the kitchen counter. His lips found their way to her neck and then to her collerbones. Her breaths were fast and shallow, her fingers were trailing down his bare back. That simple gesture was enough to boil his blood in his veins. God, this woman was making him crazy. He catched the hem of the old t-shirt, started to pull it off her and prepared himself for the view…
Their phones started to ring simultaneously.
As a cue, Caitlin jumped and freed herself from Barry's arms. Barry followed her to find his phone, groaning. When he looked at the caller, he rolled his eyes.
"Really Cisco? You know it's Sunday, right?"
"Hey, tell that to the criminals, dude" replied Cisco. "Bank robbery on the 13th street."
Caitlin was taking the same news from Iris at that moment. They looked at each other while hanging up. Barry took a deep breath.
"I have to go. Duty calls."
Caitlin tiptoed to him, making his heart skipping a beat. She planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Don't worry Mr. Allen," she whispered. "Tonight will be all ours."
