After comforting Maxwell of the situation, and with how Eda would kiss him seem to help him with most of bringing him out of his panicked state and Luz showing her motherly love towards him. Maxwell was freaking out less or at least he wasn't a horrified, nervous wreck.

Eda was inside still getting her outfit and make up being done while King was assisting her. Luz, Willow, Gus, Amity, Edric and Emira were outside with Maxwell as they were seeing he needed some assistance on some normal aspects that a school dance was for. Especially when it was Grom at Hexside.

"You guys think Eda looks really beautiful in the outfit she's wearing?" said Maxwell blushing slightly.

"Oh? You noticed Eda's outfit?" said Willow chuckling.

Maxwell blushed a bit deeper and knew that Willow was only being playful because she noticed how Maxwell is noticing when Eda does something different with her appearance. She knew that both Eda and Maxwell were perfect for each other.

"I wish I complimented her on that outfit instead of freaking out about Grom." said Maxwell sadly.

"Oh come on, you know you still have a chance to do that." Willow reassured.

"You still have the chance to ask to her to dance at Grom too." Gus chimed in.

An idea suddenly came to Luz's mind as soon as she heard Gus mention Maxwell dancing with Eda.

"Light bulb." Luz chimed in. "Maxie, do you happen to know how to dance?"

They all went silent. They all suddenly realized that they don't know if Maxwell knows how to dance or to dance with anyone for that matter. They never even asked him this before.

"Does Maxie even know how to dance?" said Amity.

"I did take a dance class for two years but it's been a while. My old school may of been for gifted children but it's been so long since I last danced. We never even got to have a school dance because of that termite infestation and damages to parts of the school. But asking someone to dance, I mean asking Eda to dance." Maxwell paused for a minute. "I've never done that before."

"You never danced before?" asked Luz.

"I never asked anyone to dance with me before or even asked anyone to be my date before for that matter." Maxwell admitted.

"So you do want to ask Eda to dance and be your date?" asked Willow.

Maxwell blushed and nodded once.

"She's the most beautiful woman in the world and not to be rude or anything but if I was to dance with her, I don't want the dancing to be some sensual, flashy dance that shows the butt shaking. It's too...boastful." said Maxwell with a hiccup.

"Oh? So you prefer a different sort of dance style." said Luz taking notice.

Maxwell felt some confidence rising in him but it was very small as he would show them what sort of dance preference he would rather do as he shown them a dance like gesture to them with him imitating the dance move like gestures of romantic, slow ballroom dancing. He briefly imitated the dance moves and eventually stopped. They instantly knew what Maxwell preferred in dancing. Luz was showing a smile and was feeling like she saw something inspiring.

"Oooh. You prefer romantic, slow dancing." said Willow with a grin.

"If I'm to dance with anyone. I only want to dance with Eda." said Maxwell admitting the truth.

"Oh Maxie! You're a true romantic." said Luz looking amazed.

"My love for the woman of my dreams is forever. She's beautiful, confident and unstoppable while I'm a southern male human whose got very little give but a heart full of love and devotion for the one I love. I'd do anything for her, even if she told me it's too dangerous, I'd still do it for her." said Maxwell as if reciting poetry.

Luz came over to Maxwell and pulled him in for a hug, she was hugging him firmly but she remembered to not hug too tight since she remembered the last few times anyone hugged him too tight.

"Maxie, you know that Eda loves you as she loves me too. You two are perfect for each other. Maybe if you focus on the romantic gestures you've done for her, you can build the confidence to ask her to be your date to the dance." Luz advised.

"You really think so?" said Maxwell hopefully.

"I know so." Luz kindly reassured.

Maxwell felt better in knowing that and he hugged her back. Luz looked up at Maxwell with a grin.

"We should probably do some dancing steps to see if you still got it. Just in case. Just like they've said: Better safe than sorry." advised Luz.

"Okay." said Maxwell relenting.

Meanwhile, in Eda's bedroom

Eda and King looked like they were done with the finishing touches on Eda's outfit and her make up. She looked at herself in the mirror.

"King, do you think I was too hard on Luz the last time we were going through this?" asked Eda curiously.

"Maybe a little bit. She's saved you from multiple monsters, remember? Which I know we're both guilty of laughing at her when she was wanting to try and take Amity's place at Grom to help her. Sure, we all helped Luz in the situation and so did Amity, but Luz was pretty mad when we laughed about her noble suggestion and when you told her what you said about her being too fragile of a human?" said King showing guilt and reminding her.

"Don't remind me." said Eda briefly annoyed. "But I just didn't want her getting hurt at Grom by the actual Grom demon. I didn't like that she was in danger during that, even when we helped her out in that. But now that my man is going through this, I feel just as...worried. He may be strong and brave when he has to be, though Luz has shown to be strong and brave before. But Maxie."

She paused for a moment.

"Maxie's been hurt in the past. He was worse off than a lot of us were when facing hard times. His dad was so horrible to him and his mother was the only good influence on him but his mother is no longer around. We're all he has." said Eda sadly. "Why did Bump have to make him go through this? I would've kicked Bump in his crotch like Maxie did if I immediately found out he had Maxie going to be Grom king in this situation."

As Eda continued, she knew that Principle Bump needed someone to set him straight at times but felt guilty that Maxwell was going through this along with how she regrets not being supportive towards Luz when she told her how she wanted to help Amity.

"Not to mention. On top of all that, this is Maxie's first dance and I'm hoping to dance with him. Even though Luz has done a lot for me too, even Maxie has done the same." Eda continued.

"Seems like it would've been easier if the Grom demon was permanently slain and no one ever had to deal with it no more." King chimed in.

Eda looked at King as if catching onto an idea. King looked back at her with confusion.

"King, isn't there a way to permanently rid the world of the Grom demon? Just like how Maxie defeated that vampire and that lizard demon?" said Eda getting ideas.

"Eda, I was joking when I said that." said King.

"King, I know you know there's a way to forever defeat this Grom demon so no one will ever have to face it again. I didn't like how Luz went through this and I don't like that my man is going through this. If there's a way, than tell me." Eda demanded.

King was silent and Eda knew there had to be a way to forever get rid of the Grom demon. King gave her a look of hesitation but knew that she was serious.

"Well, there is a way. I did remember what little information I found out about when it came to this. But I should warn you, it won't be easy and it's possible it won't be pretty ether." warned King.

"This is our two humans we're talking about. It's not just their lives that are at stake, but also yours, mine and everyone else." said Eda reminding King. "Also, tell anyone about my softer side you saw and you'll be given a reason to run from me."

King sighed and nodded as he knew there was no talking Eda out of this. But he knew that this was because they were doing this to help Maxwell and to at least find a way to apologize to Luz for what they felt guilty for. King motioned her to come closer and Eda leaned in to listen as she heard King whisper in her ear about how to forever defeat the Grom demon. As King told her, what she heard had her looking wide eyed.

Meanwhile, back outside the Owl House

"Wow! You really are good at dancing." said Willow amazed.

"After all this time, he hasn't lost a step." said Luz kindly.

"Now I just need to find out how to ask Eda to dance with me." said Maxwell.

"Just remember the romantic gestures you've done for Eda. That should fill you with the confidence to ask her." advised Luz.

Maxwell remembered the romantic gestures he's done to win Eda's heart. Helping her with heavy lifting, helping her and the others get home quicker when one of them was too tired to walk the whole way, him risking his own life to go the night time market to get the stronger potion that he's been getting to help her with her curse and how he confessed his love to her and won her heart that way. A smile formed on his face.

"Eda may be a rebellious bad girl, but she's my rebellious bad girl." said Maxwell confidently.

"Someone talking about bad girls?" came Eda's voice.

They all turned to see that Eda was coming from the front door and walked outside with them with a grin.

"A little." said the kids.

"Oh come on, I know Maxie was talking about bad girls." chuckled Eda.

"I was." Maxwell blurted out.

The kids turned to Maxwell as they wondered how he just blurts out the truth to her like that.

"As I've said: I can't lie to Eda." said Maxwell confidently admitting it.

Eda grinned and chuckled as she was coming over to Maxwell as she pulled him in to kiss him on his forehead. Maxwell blushed deeply from the kiss and his heart raced from it.

"Maxie, come with me, I got something to inform you about." Eda instructed.

She took him by the hand and they walked towards the door, walking inside and closing the door. They made it to Eda's room as she would stop both him and herself in the middle of the room. In the room, there was a black tuxedo hanging from a coat hanger that hung from a clothes line above from the floor.

"I figured you should have an outfit to wear to the dance." said Eda.

"How did you have this tux? I'm suspecting that a family member worn that to a special event." Maxwell guessed.

"You're getting warmer. An older cousin of mine wore this to both Grom and some friend's wedding. But he was older than me by ten years. He one day retired the tux when he was no longer able to fit in it." Eda explained.

Maxwell felt a bit nervous about this. Wearing a tuxedo that once belonged to a family member of Eda's. He felt like he wasn't worthy to wear this tuxedo because he suspected that him wearing a tuxedo that belonged to a family member of Eda's would make things awkward for them.

"You sure I should be wearing that one? I'm not trying to be rude or anything but wouldn't it be weird to you that I'm wearing your cousin's tuxedo to the dance?" said Maxwell looking hesitant.

"Don't worry, I'm cool with it. My sister actually wore a female cousin's dress once to a dance, luckily for her, it fit and was formal. That is until the pie throwing fight." Eda reassured.

"Pie throwing fight?" Maxwell said confused.

"Someone started a pie fight for a prank at the dance at Hexside once and it turned into everyone having a pie throwing fight. Lilly got a pie to her face and I died laughing." chuckled Eda.

Maxwell seem to be getting used to the fact that Eda was at times a joker or a prankster, both when ever it involved her past or the present time now.

"Who started the pie throwing prank?" asked Maxwell curiously.

"I'll give you a hint. She's tall, slender, and a sassy bad girl." chuckled Eda.

Maxwell caught on and giggled.

"You're such a bad girl." chuckled Maxwell.

"Guilty as charged." laughed Eda.

She took a moment to laugh and began to let out a sigh afterwards. Maxwell came over to her and she helped him change out of the clothes he wore and was helping him change into the tuxedo. King knew better and he looked away when Maxwell was changing into the tuxedo. Once Maxwell was fully changed into the suit, that's when King turned to see them.

Seeing Maxwell in this tuxedo had them looking mesmerized by how good he looked in the suit. King was looking him over and was giving Maxwell a wink and smile. Eda would hug him from behind and both of them looked in the mirror.

"Fits like a glove." said Maxwell with a grin.

"Mama like what she sees." said Eda giving Maxwell a kiss to his cheek.

Maxwell blushed deeply again and King let out a wolf like whistle.

"Maxie's going to make all the girls jealous. Sorry ladies but this boy is already taken." bragged King.

"Will you guys be with me during the event? I'll admit, facing that Grom demon does have me nervous." said Maxwell.

"Every step of the way." said Eda.

"But we do have something to tell you about the Grom demon. It will help you out in battling that shape shifting monster." said King. "I wish we could've told Luz about this when she battled against it. We're probably a couple of cruel idiots for not telling her. Even if defeating the Grom demon would be extreme for even us."

"One, you're not cruel and you're not idiots, you just didn't think of it at first, it happens to the best of us. I'll admit though, you two probably need to talk to Luz about this later on when you get the time. Two, what is it that you two are going to tell me?" Maxwell told them both reassuring them and giving advice.

They went silent and advised Maxwell that it wasn't going to be easy to tell him but he knew that it probably wouldn't be easy at all, regardless who takes on the Grom demon. They explained to him how he could defeat the Grom demon for good but when they explained to him how it will be done and what he should do, it left Maxwell wide eyed with shock.
